Adventure Kings Fridges/Freezers Dual Zone 65L

Better than expected – Delivered within 2days! Plugged it in and was down to 1 degree in about 50 minutes. Completely silent. I figure that a bag of ice a day would cost about $1200 a year, so for $320 it only has to last 4 months and I've saved a heck of a lot of watery mess. Not tried freezing but don't care. Very happy Show details · 1
Go to the store for returns or warranty issues – I had a lot of difficulty trying to organise a warranty issue online but once I took it into the store it was plain sailing. Great customer service in store and issue resolved promptly. Show reply
Dealing with Kings – Purchased 75 staycool fridge from Kings Townsville, had an issue after 6 weeks, took it back and was able to show issue to staff, they replaced it there and then. Appreciated the quick responce, well done Kings! Show details · 1
Has been good, till now – Have had the fridge for 13 months. It's been great had no problems on 12v or 240v. Until this past week, went camping no where different nothing set up different, and suddenly the Fridge won't say at temperature. At one point going up to 12oC. Normally sits between -2 and 3oC. Very frustrating on a 4 night camp not to have cold beers and meat. Show details

When it’s good it’s good. When it’s not it’s RUBBISH – So. Had my 60lt fridge for about 16 months. Use it sporadically on both 12v and 240v. Had problems from outset which I put down to transformer. Got sorted with a new transformer (Worst 12v connection ever) despite this it came good and behaved like a fridge for about 4 months of sporadic 12 and 240 volt use. Convinced the brother in law to buy… Read more
one. But now I just can’t trust it. On 12v it worked awesome in 35 deg heat for 4 days without issue. But then for no reason it has warmed to 8deg and will NOT budge. Everything warm. Has just let me down and I’m done swapping/ changing / moving stuff around. It’s only 28deg now and I’m on 240v (yes I’ve changed it to 12v and back) and quite simply it has failed me. Want it sorted or money back. I’ve not had it exposed to anything remotely extreme or even moderate work. It’s an embarrassment.

Kings 65L fridge freezer not cooling to set temps – We own a 65L Dual Zone Fridge that we purchased from Adventure Kings in March 2019. I recently did a camping trip for 10 days and I found that the fridge could not maintain the temperatures as set when using 12V. I originally cooled it on 24V but over the trip it actually got warmer and warmer every day. I eventually had to put ice in the fridge… Read more
in order to cool my food for the last few days.
Now I am home, we trialled it using both 240V and 12V. On 24V it worked perfectly and on 12V it did not. I have images of the progressive increase in temperatures on 12V. It was cooled on 24V initially, with the temperatures set at 3C and -18C, then transferred to 12V. It gradually warmed on 12V to the low to mid teens in both zones. It was in the canopy of the ute out of direct sunlight and well ventilated.
We have used the fridge previously on trips away, including a 4 week trip last year, when it worked well.
Can you please assist us or direct us as to how to have this repaired or replaced.

60l Kings Fridge won’t turn on – I just bought the Kings 60L fridge and I can’t seem to get it to turn on either in the 12 volt or 240 volt. What am I doing wrong? Show details

Love our 65ltr Dual Zone – We use our 65ltr dual zone originally in our camper trailer and now as a 2nd fridge in the back of the car. Have done a few trips, the longest around 7,000 klms with the camper trailer. We've not had any problems or issues with the unit. Worked fine with a single portable solar panel. Have even used it on moving day as a spare fridge/freezer. Show details · 1
Ruined our camping trip – We set the fridge up in the shade with good ventilation, only opened it 3 times a day and set the freezer to -4 and the fridge to 4. The battery was charged by solar and the fridge was run for a day on 240v to pre cool everything However the fridge ranged from 4 to 14 and the freezer from 0 to 7 degrees. Friends warned me that the dual zone set up was rubbish but after buying multiple kings products I trusted the brand. A massive mistake. Show details

Save your money, buy ice – Howdy. I live remote and needed something keep some frozen food and other produce cold. I purchased a this dual-zone fridge/freezer and a large solar panel from kings AND from another supplier a deep cycle battery. Oh yeah and backed up with a 6Kva generator. After a few weeks the dual zone fridge/freezer was running at 14 degrees on the freezer… Read more
and little colder on the fridge side, ha frigging ha. After unplugging and plugging it in again it would work for a day or two but gradually the temperature inside would go back up to around 14 degrees C. My frozen food stank my vegetables were soggy and rotten. I sent it back at Kings expense though I had to drive the 14Kms to the courier depot.
It returned two weeks later scarred from its' journey but worked, yay. It worked just long enough for me to be confident of restocking it with meat and some frozen vegetables only to miserably decline, waste more food and money. I sent it back again. This time after dropping at the courier depot AGAIN, it only took about seven weeks for me to have to drive to the courier depot and collect it.
I set it back up with more scars from its' second trip and allowed it to settle overnight. I plugged it in at 12.30pm the next day. The digital panel lit up, woo hoo! I set the freezer to minus 6 degrees and the fridge at 4 degrees then went to my neighbours where I had been storing frozen meat and bottles of ice for my cooler for now seven weeks. It's only a short drive each day about three and half Kilometres each way. I returned with my food to see the digital panel on the kings dual zone 65litre fridge/freezer was flashing.
I have tried plugging the 12 volt into my Toyota cigarette lighter and directly into my 6Kva 240 volt generator. It made no difference. The unit is rubbish.
I emailed kings the afternoon it was restarted and didn't work. I have heard squat. All I want now is my money back and this crap out of my life.
My warning to you is this: Many folk buy something like this go camping once a year and stow it in the garage until next year only to find it doesn't work anymore. DON'T buy one and if you already have or know someone who already has one, get it out and run it for a few months or your warranty is gone before you realise you have been duped.
Australians' deserve better.
God bless,
Grazier

Cheap, tough, but noisy – I find adventure kings rather noisy compared to other fridges i've owned, i would not want to try sleeping with it, in fact i returned my 65L as it was that loud i could hear it still when locked away in a shipping container, this particular fridge would start to make a high frequency drone that we believe made it worse than others. 4wd Supacentre… Read more
were very good though and credited me the original purchase and having no more 65L i bought the 70L which is a better fridge for a number of reasons. However it's still rather loud, i would not want to try and sleep with it close by. It's mainly the fan, which can't even hear the compressor over. So if you want something quiet, don't buy the kings, but if you don't mind the noise, it's so far been a good fridge.
rugged and dependable – just completed a 4000km trip and the fridge never missed a beat. having the flexibility to operate as both fridges, both freezers or one of each is fantastic. traveled in areas of +40degC temp and the unit worked perfectly. it kept food and drinks fresh and cold & frozen food stayed frozen down to -18C ! Metal outer case, separate lids, lights in each bin, easy to set temps.
