Absolutely pathetic brackets / lights – Pathetic lights. Both brackets shattered on gravel road ( very common problem) causing lights to break.Apparently kings know about this but have stated “the brackets are fit for purpose” you must have installed brackets incorrectly . Also radio interference is annoying when spotlights are on and relay was replaced 2 weeks after installation.… Read more

These are a very cheap and dangerous spotlight. See how often broken brackets come up as a problem, and wonder why kings deny fault. Customer service is all about deflection, how sad.

Mounting bracket failed- Lethal 9inch driving light – We purchased a 2021 Isuzu Dmax that was fitted with these lights. Unfortunatley, like many other reviews, a bracket failed after a few days driving on gravel roads and one of the lights was left hanging by the wiring only. I contacted customer service to see if they would be willing to help out with replacement brackets however despite the… Read more

obviously defective (and potentially dangerous) product they declined as I couldn't provide an order number. Given this experience I will be avoiding Kings products in the future.

Rubbish bracket good light, nice and bright – Was quite surprised that brackets for both lights completely shattered not just split. Were a present so sat in cupboard for a while, fitted to vehicle for about 2 years mainly short runs. 1st big trip had to remove what was left after 2 weeks driving on sealed/unsealed roads. Shame really because nothing wrong with lights themselves. I've noticed later versions have a heavier bracket so obviously Kings aware of problem

Good lights – I purchased a set of Kings 9” led driving lights approximately 4 years ago. Great price and look good , had an auto elec wire them up and didn’t use the supplied harness. Have only done highway miles but must say these lights have done a fantastic job , light up like daytime. Bolted to a steel Bull bar, used supplied nuts/bolts and loctited them up. Have had no issues with the brackets or lights. Good value for money. Show details ·  1

Snapped brackets on Kings lights and failure of nuts to keep lights in position – As per other reviews, both brackets broke and nuts failed to hold lights on position This happened on sealed roads, so cannot blame travel on gravel roads. Lights themselves excellent...brackets were the let down. Hoping fabricator can make up new brackets.

Poor quality and unsafe product – I had 1 successful trip before both brackets snapped. Nuts would vibrate loose, no matter haw firmly secured. Have continued to have issue with fuses blowing and melting. Replaced fuse and relay, this time the fuse completely melted and caught fire burning through the fuse and cover leaving a singed melted mess where the fuse should be, after… Read more

being turned on for less than 10 mins. Have repaired again and this time followed advise from here noting the wiring to the fuse and from the lights become very hot to the touch continuing to heat up till switched off. This product is unsafe and a fire hazard and should not be for sale. Very disappointing result for what initially appeared to be great lights.

Really these are Value for Money – Har two 9" Lights on my Jeep for over four and a half years and in that time relay overheated and clicked off Once. Distance and brightness outstanding. In Conjunction with the 22" Light Bar on Roof tray I had great spread from light Bar up top and Distance fom spots on Bar. Great lights but bad quality brackets – These lights worked great on road, nice and bright. But as soon as i took them onto corrugation one snapped after 1 trip and the other worked the bolts loose until lost. Now both lights are removed 2 months into a 6 month trip with no brackets able to be replaced.  Show details

I had strong hair now balding and grey – $89 9 inch round led spotties The lights look really good and feel like quality lights. Unfortunately there are no lens protectors and the powder coat has a small chip in the top that is guaranteed to invite corrosion in under 30 days. I have'nt been able to test their output as the trolley boy suckered me into buying the plug and play harness… Read more

for quick easy installation. It's any thing but. The dim glow indicated stray current in the wiringThe harness and its components can only be described as a spahetti cluster pluck of Chinese chit house rodgering. For a cab over the harnerss is totally unsuitable crimp connectors are very poor qualti with most of the underrated cables half torn to hold but a few strands of wire the lack of wiring diagrams or instructions mean you blow most of the components on your first test should you have a negative switched vehicle. There is no warning for this scenario after 2 blown fuses and a cooked relay I bought a new relay only to work out that probably the H polarity switching Diode is constructed from dried cow dung and not worth the ship its made of. My solution to this issue is to go old school and basically never touch this cormmie crip ever again. Im sure there are some petrol heads out there that have had various levels of success and swear by this faecal matter. Personally im not about to roast marshmallows in my engine bay so im foxing this crip off. Whats more the staff at the ware house had a very professional I dunno shrug reinforced with well rehearsed dilligaff attitude. observing the instore dynamics I would not be surprised if this was part of in house arrogant customer service training. In summary once bitten twice shy

Kings 9"LED driving lights don't use the harness supplied – Purchased a set of 9" Kings LED lights and they came with a harness ready to install. Gave it to auto electricians to install, but unfortunately I got a young installer who used the harness supplied. Older sparkies all say they would not have installed with the supplied harness. Outcome was, that the actual harness tries to run both lights off the… Read more

one relay supplied, and uses very light guage wire in the harness. LED's lights draw way more current than many would think and the wires get very hot and the relay has difficulties handling the power (so I am unable to run the lights). Now I have to get another auto sparkie to re-install with heavier wiring and separate relay for each light so that I don't have melt down (or a fire). So whilst the lights are good enough for cheap lights, DO NOT USE the supplied harness, it's junk. Would have been better just buying better brand and not wasting money having to have re-install because of inadequate supplied harness.

Kings driving light issue – I have purchased a few months ago a set of 9" kings driving lights and have had problems with the fuse blowing. The feed wire to the relay also gets that hot that you cannot touch it with your hand. After speaking with some 4WDing friends I have heard in some cases of the kings wiring loom catching fire. I will now remove these from my vehicle as the fire risk is too great.  Show details

Adventure Kings 9 inch LED lights – Just purchased and fitted these driving lights with some trepidation and scepticism. The claims were high. The price was low. For what is basically, the cost of a decent set of globes, I waited until dark to fire up these lights. Man, are these things impressively bright. No complaints whatsover. Looking forward to more extensive testing but… Read more

build quality and performance was surprisingly great on first impressions. I dont know how they do it for the price. Recommended. Oh, they came with a wiring loom for that price as well.

Day Time. Night Time - BRILLIANT Lights – I got these for Christmas because my partner said he was sick of my dull spottys. All i can say is that I was amazed at the difference these LED lights made to a standard single bulb. It is almost changing the time of day when you use these with the amount of light and the distance they go. Highly recommend these

Not happy – I got the kings 9" driving lights installed and was happy until I noticed after several months LEDs were blowing. I now have only half of one working. Not happy!!! P.S no wonder they are so cheap. Won't be buying any kings products again. Thanks kings for nothing. Mmmmmmmmmm......

Unbelievable value – I had expensive HID spot lights on my last 200 series. This is not an even comparison as these are LED but to me these $90ea lights are far better than my previous $700+ea lights. I have only recently installed them so I can't say how well they last but I am extremely happy with the light output, the quality look of the lights, and the quality… Read more

look of the mounting brackets. I did use a genuine Toyota lighting harness which connected easily as the spotlights also come fitted with quality deutsch plugs. The wiring from a well known aftermarket provider used on my previous 200's spotlights was a major disappointment so I would not go away from a genuine wiring harness again.

In terms of light output, these do not point anywhere near as far as the HID pencil beam but the approx 500 metres covered has significantly more light and is far enough in my opinion. I base this on at even 120km/h you cover only 1km/h every 30 seconds meaning that at 500m of intense lighting there is >15 seconds of view on a straight level road.

Usually I buy the best products I can find and it costs me a lot. This time I have bought a product which I believe looks as good as anything I have seen at a far more reasonable price.

I don't know how the other manufacturers are still selling lights at their inflated prices. It was a market ripe for disruption and now it looks like this is being done.

Benefits: low cost, LED provides most usable light in my opinion, less requirement to adjust spotlights due to intense spread and not point, high quality, look great.

I am not arguing that there are not better lights out there as I wouldn't know. What I do know is that nothing else I came across when doing my research came close to the value in my opinion and I have only been delighted with this purchase.
