Disappointed – I have had this dishwasher for five months and had time to get to know it. I am disappointed because the first deciding reason in choosing it was for the cutlery drawer. My previous brand dishwasher had an outstanding easy to use cutlery drawer but with the AEG drawer the cutlery does not fit into the narrow tight slots. The cutlery sits on top of… Read more
the spikes, loosely and falling out of alignment every time I move the drawer. The cutlery does not fit the basket according to the illustration by the manufacturers. Also, the dishwasher is really smelly. I have never experienced this with any other dishwasher. I often do the quick rinse setting to eliminate the odor which helps a little but not fully. I wash every 2nd day, being only two of us in the house which is the case for all dishwashers I've used. Otherwise I like other aspects of it's design and function.
Worst customer service – we purchased this AEG dishwasher on the promise of sales service from Harvey Norman. Worked well for two years and but it’s malfunctioned now and the dishwasher drain is not draining any water , tried to troubleshoot ourselves but still not working . Called customer service but no technicians available for a month . They told us that they can’t… Read more
do anything more than this !! How ridiculous as they expect us to wash all the dishes for a month from today and more than that we have a large family and might have to run the dishwasher twice a day at times . I really regret buying this brand dishwasher.stay away from this brand and go for someone who looks after their customers !!
Replacement dishwasher for a Fisher & Paykel, so far so good! – Purchased six months ago from local Harvey Norman store, and very satisfied. Prompt delivery and installation, very quiet operation. Was unsure about not having a screen on front to check time left etc but it's not an issue tbh. Automatically starts when you shut the door after selecting your mode on the panel on top edge of the door. Cutlery tray… Read more
instead of a cutlery basket is very handy, three spray arms also better than two. Cleans very well, no issues at at all using either Finish or Fairy tablets. We always rinse dishes cups etc briefly before placing in dishwasher. Very happy with this product.
AEG - good, but not so premium – We have had a Miele for over 8 years (Probably another 5-10 yrs old, came with the house). It was solid and well built - cleaned the dishes and had an exhaust fan - so all dishes were dry. No problem till the auto flood stopped it from filling with water. Thought we would go Bosch but decided on AEG which has some great features - like the XXL… Read more
capacity.
BUT once you use it, it leaves you wanting.
First question is why is the upper shelf so high (adjustable but who would adjust it up?) you can't even put a small side plate in when it is on the lower level? Especially since this is XXL and the bottom level is sooooo large.
Interesting feature -It opens after the wash. one would expect that to be good to get dry dishes by letting the steam out - but the dishes still are damp even with rinse aid (which is NOT adjustable unlike the Miele)
Unfortunately, the door feels flimsy. Reason? 1. It is a large door, so tends to 'flex'. But it opens so wide (make sure you have space in the kitchen!) that it has scratched us so many times! 2. Seems that the door 'skin' is a thin SS material (we use fridge magnets to make it not sound like a gong when we close it)
Sadly, once it is closed - you have no idea how long more the wash will take.
Wash isn't always clean - again it may be because it is XXL - so large the detergent water just doesn't quite do the job (we rinse off all food etc before wash!) But this may just be the way things are headed - even Miele has some poor models - our previous one was the top of the line German made and we miss it. AEG is OK - super large, good ideas like auto-open door, reasonable design and a 5 year warranty - but definitely doesn't feel premium.
Not a great dishwasher! Had issues and can’t even fit plates side by side it’s so small – I purchased this dishwasher through Harvey Normal along with AEG Oven and Combi Oven and induction cooktop. I’ll start off by saying I’ve had I recon 8 technicians out with faults to every single product including combi oven blowing up and now have issues with the replacement. In regards to the dishwasher, firstly they advertise XXL inside!… Read more
Couldn’t be further from the truth. You cant even sit plates side by side in try designated spots. There isn’t enough room and my plates are just your standard size plate. This means I have to wash more often and not fill it up because I simply can’t put dinner plates in all the spots. The light inside has gone on it already, and sometimes the dishwasher will pop open at the end of the cycle to air dry and sometimes it doesn’t, leaving everything wet. To be honest, after spending over $20,000 on all these AEG appliances, I wish they would just come rip them all out. It’s nothing but a headache to constantly call up over and over. So disappointed. I am just over all the issues. Customer service though is good.
Antiflood error and no technician available to repair – Purchased expensive AEG dishwasher on the promise of superior clean and best after sales service from Harvey Norman Cardinale. Worked well for two years and but malfunctioned on weekend - the anti-flood device was activated. Called customer service but no technicians available for at least a week to come and inspect the machine. Given how… Read more
expensive this machine was to buy, coupled with the fact that we live in the middle of major capital city, I find this unacceptable. We have a large family, at least two dishwasher loads a day. I've had several dishwashers in several properties in the past and I've never had to wait at least a week for service/repairs. I really regret buying this brand of dishwasher.
Best dishwasher in 40 years – We had to replace our Samsung dishwasher and wanting an upgrade looked at various top models (Miele etc). We settled on this model and have now been using it for six months. It is super quiet, and you need the red light projected on the floor to avoid opening it up. And of course, I have had a few frightful moments when the door automatically… Read more
opens during the drying cycle.
The cutlery tray is so sensible for packing and unpacking. What a useful feature.
There is plenty of space for packing all our dirty dishes and it comes out clean and dry.
I can highly recommend the AEG on your short-list.
What an expensive piece of junk – I have had this for 8 months and my wife has been complaining about for 6. Now with the lockdown I can see what she is complaining about. Simply it doesnt wash, we have to hand wash regularly to clean things the dishwasher does not: cups, mixing bowls, blender containers, saucepans, frying pans, glasses. Even after the longest wash cycles. So… Read more
now (04/21) this piece of junk has broken down again and these idiots have made appointments for repair and failed to turn up on both occasions. Not only does the product not work but their service system is woefully inadequate. Keep away from AEG.
Keep away from this, spend the extra go for a superior product.

Perfect dishwasher with perfect featurs – We bought this from Harvey Norman. Many advanced features. Internal cavity size is bigger allowing more capacity. Door opens automatically after every wash allowing to dry out quickly. Very low noise and efficient. Definitely recommend. Delivery and installation was very quick and very happy about making this perchase from AEG Show details
