This is a very noisy dishwasher even on the silent function. It cleans well but I don't enjoy hearing the dishwasher whilst watching TV in the next room (L shaped open-plan kitchen, dining, lounge). I can actually hear it in the next room door closed and passage in-between. It is very loud!!! . Our Dishlex from many years previous was quieter as was the previous model AEG comfort lift that it replaced. We had a technician service the dishwasher under warranty (2 months old) with the dishwasher replaced with another identical dishwasher which was just as noisy. The dishwasher was again checked by a different technician who advised the sound emitted from the dish washer was normal for this model. Since the technicians visit, I have heard nil from AEG. You can hear the motor and the washing sound distinctly. The overall service we received from AEG has been I believe to be excellent who replaced our first comfort lift dishwasher (1 year out of company warranty for a1/2 price cost). However, this dishwasher did have its issues over the years we had it. (leaking and the comfort lift jamming regularly).
