Air Serbia

We booked our internal flight from Athens to Bucharest with Air Serbia. Qatar Airlines cancelled our flight 28 March 2026 from Australia to Athens so we have no means to travel. We requested a refund but this has not happened and no communication from Air Serbia in relation to this matter. Show details
I have never experienced better customer service in over 20+ years of flying. Only flown with them once so far as most of my travels have been in South East Asia. I recently goofed while making a seat selection and didn't want to risk the ire of my wife ( who loves window seats ) because I selected seats over the wing. They responded to my query… Read more
at almost key stroke speed and sorted things. The flight was a gift from our son so I can't add an invoice ( sorry Product Review ).
Air Serbia damaged my brand-new bag. Upon landing in Skopje and collecting it from the carousel, I discovered that one of the wheels was broken. I tried to locate baggage services to lodge a report, but there were no ground handlers available at… Read more
12:30 a.m. Customs staff advised me that no one was on duty and told me to take photos and submit a claim online. I did exactly that and filed a claim immediately.
Three months later, after following up multiple times, Air Serbia informed me that without an airport report, they would not compensate me! They completely ignore the fact that there were no ground handlers available at 12:30 a.m. This seems to be their way of avoiding responsibility—by not enforcing the presence of a ground handling team so they can wipe their hands clean.
Disgusting company. I will never fly with them again and will not stop until I am compensated for this. To make things worse, they also change your flight at the last minute and put you on a charter flight under the same conditions as their own planes—which are literally falling apart.
Stay away and save your money!
Follow-up · NO CHANGE - TERRIBLE COMPANY. Refuse to have complaints manager contact me.
"Air Serbia" is a joke. A bad one – First (and last) time I flew with them on Jan 2nd 2025 and all I have to say is: STAY AWAY from this so-called airline company. I was travelling from Oslo to Athens via Belgrade, and this could really be a very lengthy post, but I will spare you the particulars of my horror story and give you the main points instead: -Flight delayed 2 hrs at… Read more
Oslo, no explanation given.
-Upon arrival at Belgrade, clueless staff and no company representative who could responsibly answer questions and provide guidance.
-Seriously unorganized transfer process from the airport to the hotel. Endlessly waiting for the bus and losing further time due to the amateur way of boarding the passengers.
-Instead of taking us to our final destination in Athens, they flew us to Thessaloniki and exhausted us further, by being indecisive on which connecting flight we should board for Athens - at some point, to our absolute terror, they even suggested us to fly from Belgrade to Vienna and from there to Athens..!!!!!!!
-Upon our arrival at Thessaloniki, our paid for luggage was appearing as unpaid at the system. I know at least another passenger who had to pay again for his already paid luggage.
-In the meantime no counter available and no representative of the company at Thessaloniki and Athens airports - only a malfunctioning call center.
-A trip supposed to last 6 hours (including layover), lasted well over 22 hrs...
Need I say more? STAY AWAY...!!!!
Are there any competent authorities monitoring the operation and performance of such companies? Why do passengers have to endure this?
P.S. -For what it's worth, I believe that their pilots are good - at least that was my experience.
-My Pandora luggage tag with which I had travelled countless times, "disappeared" from my suitcase during that trip.
AIR SERBIA IS ULTRA-CORRUPT !!! – AIR SERBIA IS ULTRA-CORRUPT !!! I flew with them on 8 August 2024 Zagreb to Belgrade. They deliberately left my luggage in Zagreb, even though the plane was 50% empty. I could track my luggage with the e-tag. After 5 days without my luggage, I DESPERATELY BEGGED THEM for it. They told me to wait another 5 days, or pay USD $100… Read more
bribe to get it quicker !!! So I paid the $100 bribe to the corrupt official of this corrupt airline. STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!!
2nd try… not happy… – After a relatively negative experience with JU in 2023, I attempted to fly with them again but this time on a different route. At first all seemed to be going well. Flight was only about 15 minutes behind schedule. It’s not until I get on board that there is chaos with baggage. My bag got moved from being above me to being 2 rows back. Unknown… Read more
why that is the case as there was ample room above me, and my 2 seat mates were also moved. The crew was panicking over it all unnecessarily.
Then comes time to do the meal service. My ticket was purchased via Turkish Airlines, yet they still insisted food and service was paid for. I hadn’t eaten all day and was hungry but there were only snacks available. They don’t accept CC payments, and had no charge for me when paying in RSD. Plus I had no euros which is logical coming out of a non euro country of course.
Last year they were 0 stars, this year they are 1 star. At this rate I’m better off on Ryanair or Wizz.
Avoid Air Serbia – I booked two Air Serbia flights in July this year for travel in August. A few days before the first flight, I got an email to say it had been cancelled and that I would receive a refund. Due to the cancellation of this flight i then had to cancel the return flight, which i was eligible to do. I am STILL waiting for the refunds on these flights. I… Read more
followed their refund process and have followed up with emails but they refuse to refund me or even communicate with me at all. I booked the flights online in Australia for travel between countries in Europe.
Terrible- do not fly with them if you want your luggage – Air Serbia lost my luggage on the 6th July 2023. 4 Bags came out of the flight from Belgrade to Skopje, the rest of the passengers lost their luggage. The lost baggage office gives you a printout from a 1980s dot matrix printer of your lost baggage report. Air Serbia refuse to answer any emails or claims. Do not fly Air Serbia if you have any type… Read more
of luggage that requires checking in. Do not think they will reimburse you for lost luggage, they will not. Try contacting claims..... Worst Airline ever. Do not fly with them.
They'll lose your luggage and ignore your emails – Flew two flights from Paris to Belgrade, and then to Zadar on the 24th of June and even now as of 30th of July, they have still not responded to any of my emails in regards to compensating me for losing my luggage, along with 95% of all other passengers on that same flight. Although their online booking process, flight service and comfort was… Read more
satisfactory, none of that can offset their poor customer service and communication, hence why I rate them 1 star. I would highly recommend that no one using Air Serbia unless you're only travelling with carry on baggage.
Off-schedule flights, budget service – We booked flights for our family with Air Serbia from Amsterdam to Sydney via Belgrade and Abu Dhabi. Their reviews were pretty reasonable and we were advised that Belgrade was a safe airport. We were only changing planes at Belgrade. Or so we thought. The Amsterdam-Belgrade flight (two hours) was on an Air Serbia aircraft, but the final two… Read more
flights (about 22 hours, i.e. the bulk of the trip) was with Etihad (Air Serbia's part owner). We were concerned that there was only 45 minutes for the Belgrade turnaround but were reassured by staff in Amsterdam that it was enough time.
Unfortunately, the first flight was delayed an hour. When we arrived in Belgrade we were told the connecting flight had left and that we would need to await a new connection. The airport staff were great, though they told us they didn't work for Air Serbia. Eventually they gave us a new series of flights, with Qatar Airways via Doha and Melbourne. We were stuck in Belgrade for two days, though well-accommodated at a hotel. Ultimately we arrived home more than 52 hours late.
With hindsight, I wouldn't book with Air Serbia again. While it saved us $400 per ticket compared with a better airline like Etihad, having to go through Belgrade was a risk not worth taking. A one-hour flight delay meant a 52-hour delay to getting home. While delays happen to every airline, they should either be more reliable or adjust the schedule to ensure connecting flights are made.
