Do not buy any akai Worst " smart" TV ever cannot give zero stars – Absolute piece of rubbish . Cannot add apps and when you do they aren't supported by the tv as it never updates its software. Useless piece if rubbish . Can't give zero stars as it's not worth a pinch as a "Smart TV " Avoid at all costs
This TV sucks!! – I bought the TV less then 5 years ago from Harvey Norman with product care warranty thinking it is a smart tv. Now it doesn;t even play youtube!! contacted the supplier Tempo group of companies and Harvey norman and they say "Our service team had advised us that the YouTube application may no longer available/compatible to the TV as they keep updating the app. A work around solution is using additional hardware such as Chromecast"
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $700.
Discontinued and so are updates – I bought one of these from a local discount store. Never going there again. Under a year later I can't get Netflix on it because they won't update the firmware. So now it's just a normal TV. Never, ever, ever buying Akai again 35 years ago they made rubbish products and I now learn that they haven't changed. For another $200 I could have bought a brand new one quality brand from a real retailer. Never buy from the shady store on the corner of lower Dandenong and boundary Rd brassiness. They are shysters
Purchased in for $450.
crap tv – I bought 10 if these tv's because they were cheap .... Never again...... 9 Worked ok 1 arrived cracked . They denied any responsibility and had the cheek to say its my fault . Any warranty issues goodluck .......... I will never purchase this brand again Lesson learnt
Purchased in for $645.
Good for what you pay – Cheaper brand smart tv but works well and picture isn't too bad either. Remote has a pointer and keyboard. Able to use the internet and download apps like netflix etc. Overall it is good value for the price.
