Very Disappointing Gym – Poor Management and Bad Equipment This gym has been a very disappointing experience overall. The management is unprofessional, and there is a serious lack of communication. Important updates are not shared properly, and when issues are raised, staff are either unhelpful or dismissive. The equipment is also in poor… Read more

condition — many machines are old, poorly maintained, or out of order for weeks with no explanation. It’s clear that upkeep is not a priority here.

It’s unfortunate because with proper management and better care for the facilities, this could be a great place. But as it stands now, I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone.

Fun day – I had a great time at this waterpark, but I would really like to say thank you to Daniel please keep him around. He was so nice to us and telling us how to get faster on the slide.

Lifeguard experience – Went there today 31/12/ 24 6 adults and 6 kids my granddaughter got into trouble and her father had to get to her as the so-called lifeguard was too busy chatting to another lifeguard later on in the day another granddaughter got into trouble and the lifeguard wasn't even watching her father had to go and grab her to safety. We had witnesses to… Read more

say they weren't watching They get paid to watch the pools and they are too busy chatting to worry about anyone in the pool we were in. Why is the rapid river in the same area as the shallow kid's pool where the current is causing the water to swirl around and drag small kids into the deeper water? This is very unsafe.

Inappropriate, inconsistent and poor turn over of staff! Rude manager – NOT RECOMMENDED, poor management, regular staff turn over, no regulation in teaching style, no continuity as staff always change, had the worse experience from recently changing from privates to group classes whereby my child was assigned to a class two levels down from when they were in privates. This error was due to the poor management of the facility and not having the children's best interests at heart.

Disappointed with the experience – Took my 10yr old nephew to the Albany Creek pool today, I was not swimming. It cost $12.50 ,once we where in we were told by the lifeguards we could not use the heated pool as it was only for hydro therapy and under 5’s. Also we could not use the big pool as it was for lap swimmers. Considering the Brisbane city council only charges$2 - the experience was so underwhelming and we will not be going again, for a public facility it was a rip off.

Awful swimming centre, terrible staff and lifeguard, and badly maintained facilities – Staff are mostly rude, and aren’t happy, lifeguard are constantly talking to each other and not actually watching the kids or adults swimming, they just talk to each other, the toilets and change rooms are disgusting and poorly maintained, rust everywhere. Do not go here.

Excellent facility and great gym trainers – I have been a member of ACLC for many years. The swimming pools were renovated last year and the water is crystal clear. I attend Coaching Zone which offers personalised group training from first class coaches. This membership also entitles you to participation in the numerous fitness classes plus use of the pool facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Is a great local facility.

Terrible place – Terribly run down and lack of management. Staff are rude and very poorly trained. Everyone there has a 'not my problem' attitude. 3 years ago I could at least say the gym is good, but not anymore. Try elsewhere!

Where is the manager? – Unfortunately this facility has lurched from bad to worse as this year has progressed. Three years ago a Manager was brought up from Melbourne to try to address ACLC's many issues. For one year under his management and excellent supervision, the entire facility was thoroughly cleaned and maintained properly. For this period the place ran smoothly.… Read more

Since his transfer it has returned on the old downhill slide. It has now been operating for sometime without any on site manager and to make matters worse for the past two weeks the toilet shower block has been closed, waiting for Moreton Bay Council to fix problems created by the heavy rains. No portaloos were hired to compensate, with patrons directed by signage to use the 2 disabled toilet/shower facilities nearby. How have they been allowed to operate as normal with these facilities not in use? The number of babies and toddler classes, children in group classes, visiting School Groups, students training before school, warm pool physiotherapy, and the general public are still all continuing to attend as normal.

Just go there if you don't care how badly you are treated by the staff members – I used to send my 2 kids for swimming lessons at their pool starting from January 2019. recently, things changed totally .The new staff members especially, young ladies at the desk treated us like as if they own the facility and we used the facility free of charge.I had an argument with one rude and adamant young lady who literally commanded me… Read more

to accompany children at all times as if they are Babies or Autistic.Or else they are liable if something happens. The gentlemen staff member who was at the scene was Assertive which is really appreciated. It was understood that the staff are stressed out due to some reason.so they just want to throw their tantrums towards patrons.Unless the management look into this issue seriously, you are going to loose the business just because of some rude/misbehaving staff members.they need to be trained about good customer service. The bottom line is I have cancelled my kids membership and not going to use their facility anymore.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced – My experience as a customer at the centre was terrible and left me very upset, disappointed and shaken up. I would not recommend the centre at all due to this.

Absolute horrendous organisation and communication!!! – For the 100th time came to get the kilometres in at the pool and again the squad was on with only one lane available!!! People pay good money to be able to use all the facilities that are offered, to have one lane available to the public in peak times is incredible rude to the people paying. Seriously how many people have left because of this is quite high just sort it out good god!

Accounts Department are contracted debt collectors – It's a real shame that such a great facility is so horribly let down by using an external contracted debt collection agency for children's swimming lessons. We changed credit card details which temporarily affected our direct debit payments and were constantly hounded via phone calls (even on public holidays) and aggressive emails demanding… Read more

payment. Payment dishonour fee was $10 per child, per missed payment.

We paid the fees but when we raised the way we were poorly treated with Albany Creek LS staff, we were fobbed off and offered no apology or explanation.

Friendly and supportive – I found the staff very friendly when getting started and they have continued to help me during the first few months of my training. The gym itself is a good size and not full of loud groups, plenty of equipment to work with. I haven't used the pools yet but they always look welcoming.

Cleanliness – Just got back from your pleasure centre .Your heated pool was disgusting ,needs a good clean or a new filtering system and it was cold.i was not only one complaining some have already left your establishment to find other pools.

Terrible administration! – Do not ever try to quit this gym, they will have 110 excuses..... I have been trying to stop my membership for five months, that is AFTER my contract expired.

Childminding for Mums only – They don't know their own policies and blatantly lied about my access to childminding. Apparently as a Dad you don't have children. Didn't return my calls. Gym itself was ok, no support from staff on progress after first visit. On re-sign was offered a fee $200 more than my wife. The business/sales arm is a joke. Nice facility and pool sales staff, discriminate and don't care.

Average, have seen better – I have been a member of the Albany Creek Leisure centre for almost almost a year now, and although my gym experience has been good, a few things have been bothering me for a while. The air conditioning is always set too hot and the place smells kind of musty, especially in the weights area. The price is good, the staff is excellent and very… Read more

professional, and there is a wide variety of both cardio and weight equipment. The members are generally friendly too, and always willing to help. The air conditioning is way too hot, especially in winter (the thermometer reads 26-27 degrees). Also, the above mentioned smell :(

Excellent – This is a great, friendly, small gym, where I feel like I belong even though I'm not the most toned individual! The staff are wonderful, the childminding is excellent and a huge bonus for us mums. It's great to be treated like you're not just another membership number. Would highly recommend it, without hesitation. Great childminding. … Read more

Friendly, helpful staff. People of all shapes, sizes and ages attend, from teenagers to seniors. The gym has quality, well maintained equipment. Good range of weight machines and free weights. Great initial program development. Suggest you avoid peak busy times. The consultant that originaly did my program left, and her replacement also left, so I now have to form a relationship with yet another staff member. This should settle down now though and was completely outside the Leisure Centre's control. I'd like a few more stretching group classes like Pilates/Yoga.
