In one sense, this is a nice little, highly directional, fan heater. For sure. But having had one, and run it till the thing conked out... I found that a combination of POOR design, and The Management of Aldi's "scraping" the dust bin of reject products, so they can make money on sales, for things that are not fit for purchase, along with their total failure to test and evaluate anything...

Your buying "Defective By Design" garbage.

The first thing is all the controls, are underneath the fan heater, that sits on the floor.

This is just plain STUPID.

Don't you people at Aldi have any brains?

Why are you not getting a fan heater, with the knobs on the TOP?

The two knobs - one controls the FAN ON, then the LOW HEAT and then the HIGH HEAT.

The second knob, is the thermostat. The thermostat is located under the heater resistance heating elements and it does not get any airflow over it, AND this is a thermostat, that is designed for a small toaster oven. It's operating range is out side of that, of a fan heater - so it does not work.

It's either ON or it's OFF.

The knobs are small, smooth and slippery... AND there is NO handle to pick up the heater, to lift it up so you can see what the readings are.

Back to the thermostat - that does not work - it's either ON or it's OFF - there is no variation so you can set the heated air temperature from the room, to 10*C, 15*C, 20*C, 25*C or 30*C.

Nope - Icy cold room in the evening - turn the fan heater on and it just stays on until you go to bed, and wake up at 2am in a damned sauna.

This happens regardless of what the thermostat is set too.

Yes I have stripped one, tested everything and Naaaaa.

Aldi has always had a "Make money by off loading garbage onto the market" attitude.

My recommendation on the poor design (controls underneath) and the thermostat that does not work, is do not buy them.

Aldi deserves to go out of business for their unethical business practices.

You used to be able to phone them / email / message them - but they cut that out a LONG time ago...
