Love this heater. We have one in our bedroom and use it instead of the split AC/heater. It's quiet and warms everything in the room. The second heater is downstairs helping to heat the TV/seating area in a big open plan area. Love the natural sun like heat Show details · 1
The Ionmax Ray Far Infrared Heater ION801 is a brilliant heater with one huge defect. I doubt the cord is even two metres long, and extensions and power boards are not recommended. If you use it in an office or bedroom it's great ... if you use it in a living room where there is a dearth of power points or alternatively they are too far from the sofa, it is hopeless. What the … my Infra Red Heater has lasted 10 years! – I’ve suddenly realised my IonMax Ray is turning 10 years old soon. I bought it from a guy doing demo in Shopping centre on Whitehorse Road in 2015. I’ve only ever needed to set on 4 for a great nights sleep in winter. You will love this, if you choose to buy – This is the third one of these I've bought. Sitting in front of them is like being in the sun! My mum thinks it's the best thing she's ever owned, she really feels the cold and would be miserable without this wonderful device. Show details · 1
Not as pleased as I should be – Have to say I am a bit disappointed as the heater doesn't heat the room I have it in. It's more like a radiator in its scope of heating, I feel, although I am stilll eager to see a reduction in energy costs eventually and am pleased it's an infra-red heat. present only one side of me is heating even with the heater within 3 feet of me when turned on. I will be in touch with Andatech to see if they can give advice on how to get better results, but currently am not over-impressed as I felt I would be. (Update Aug. 24: ended up returning it and obtaining a refund. Too expensive for what really is in my final opinion: a larger-sized radiator with no blower vent). Well made but underpowered – I'd love to be giving this heater 5 stars but I have a few reservations. more heat. It claims to warm to a distance of 4-14m but I can't believe this. Sitting on a couch watching TV, on full power (1200w), I need to be 1-1.5 meters away with nothing in between. It also claims to heat up quickly, but that's not my experience. It takes a good 4 minutes to heat up fully on the full power setting – which is not a huge problem, but worth noting. This is a nice looking heater but be aware you'll need to be very close to it. Andatech, please make a 2000w model!

Absolutely fantastic! – I bought this unit mainly for my elderly folks, as I know the advantages of using far-range IR heaters over standard IR heaters, as well as for the safety aspect. added to the cost-benefit when most others on the market are 12 months standard.
The only thing that I would want added would be the ability to integrate it into a smart home system (such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa etc) but, that is not a deal breaker. I will be buying another 2 soon!
Happy customer here :) – This is exactly what I was looking for. It's quite a practical design that you can easily move around, not heavy or too wide. my desk, but because it's an open space I need it directly next to me. It does make it very comfortable for me, I simply can't compare it to other heaters - I highly recommend this one, I'm happy with my choice.

Hoping to cut gas bill – My house is a big rectangle. Have heater at one end and an air purifier at the other. So far is keeping house warm while only set on medium heat. Winter will be the big test. Fingers crossed it will help to save some $$$. Sitting in front of heater is great for muscle and joint soreness to, added bonus. Show reply

Warm, cosy, quiet and clean! – We love our IONMAX and will definitely be purchasing another. One for the home office and one for the lounge. No noisy rattling fan noises, no fossil fuels, we’re running ours easily using our solar power plant. Highly recommended.
Really good heater – Once you get over the lack of glowing red elements this heater is very good and efficient and soon you are noticeably comfortable without bits that are too hot or too cold as with radiant heaters. It is also nice to think of how energy efficient it is and I am looking forward to the next energy bill to see the difference between this form of heating and our previous one.
Review of ionmax – Arrived promptly. We have a large living room with a vaulted ceiling which is very cold in winter. We don’t always want to get the log burner going so this has been a great way to be able to sit in the room and be nice and toasty. temperature to the highest, the room temperature will be warm to 22 degrees. It's a lower temperature than the panel heater, but my feet are getting warm. There is no stuffy,dryness, and noise. I have a big fireplace in living room, but I rarely use it during the day time. After checking the energy efficiency, I would like to buy another one in my office room when I work at home during the day. Only one matter is a bright light, I tend to block out my bed room at night time, but if the technology to development so I can turn off any light, I will change all this heater in my houses all of rooms to this products!
Best portable heater I’ve ever experienced! – Immediately easy to operate (& I’m very challenged when it comes to any device), beautiful, radiant heat that is both subtle & powerful - like sunshine on your body. Better than a fireplace! It doesn’t lead to stuffy heat like you get in fan forced heaters. I have severe thermal issues & am often cold even in summer - this has solved all my problems! I like it even more than hydronic heaters, which I’ve had in the past.

I suggest the distributor makes the heater easier to find using google search.
High satisfaction – After having a new IonMax Ray ION801 in my sitting-room for two weeks, I was so impressed that I decided to invest in a second one for the bedroom-study. They are working superbly and consume only 40%-60% of the electricity used by the less effective convection heaters I'd used for years previously.

quiet, almost silent. Because of how cold the room is the heater needs to be set up pretty close to the body initially but as the room begins to warm this is less important ¦once it has been on a relatively short time you can walk into the room and feel the warmth ¦including for several hours after the heater is turned off. Room size is 20sqm and through winter we've used it as a yoga space and work space ¦it has meant we can use this space in comfort. Other peoples reviews were helpful in confirming my decision to purchase this heater so I hope this review can help someone else.
