Ali TV three years ago. It is a 58" tv. After 3 years everything is dead. It's not turning on. I went to ALDI and they gave me a phone number to contact for repair. There was no help from the inside. Stay away from Aldi TV they are rubbish. I'm going to throw into bin. Show details
I purchased in August 2023 and it lasted 3 years. Attached photo see lines running down the screen Also sound quality was poor and used a sound bar Show details
Follow-up · The Braun only has 1 year warranty, so I didn't bother contacting Aldi support. I put it out for council pick-up. The picture quality on the Aldi Braun tv brand is not the best and I am unsure why I got the screen lines, as I only had it for 3 years. Rrp $550.00
**TLDR** A bargain 70" 4K TV with a great picture, especially for the price. I am keeping the TV and I would definitely buy a ALDI Bauhn again. I have purchased and installed the BAUHN 70" TV, Model ATV70UHDT (28/01/2026). It is replacing a faulty 6 year old TCL 65P8S. I was considering buying another TCL 65" TV, anywhere from the lower range… Read more
C6K (~$1K) to the mid-tier C7K ($1,500AUD) to the higher level C8K (~$2,000). I decided to give the ALDI BAUHN a go, thinking that for $500 it was definitely worth a shot... and I have 60 days to obatin a refund if I am not "entirely satiisfied" with it.
After nearly two months I am very impressed and will not be returning it for a reefund. The picture quality is very good straight out of the box. The TV is in my lounge, but during the daytime when watching TV I close all the curtains, so while the room is not "dark", there is ambient light from an adjoining room. The picture is very bright and clear and not washed out.
In various online screen tests (YouTunbe) the results are very good. A standard black screen uniformity (various white objects on a black background) test shows very little bleed from the white object to the black background. When the screen displays a rotating white rectangle on a black ground I saw slight tearing along the edges (the edge did not remain clear and sharp) as the TV struggled to keep up, but this was minor and I have noticed no such thing aberrations during regular viewing.
Grid tests shows all horizontal and vertical lines are straight with no distortion. There is minimal subtle blooming. In the subtitle motion display test, the words were blurry and although I could still easily read he words, the words were not clear and sharp as they moved from right to left across the screen (such as happens in news segments). Despite this I have not noticed this in any real time viewing, i.e. subtitles are sharp and clear (I always have subtitles if available as I have hearing loss (not totally deaf, deaf in one eary and hearing loss in the other).
In the dirty screen test of white, grey and colours (red, green, royal blue, light blue, yellow and pink), there is a minor/dirty screen effect across the whole screen, more visible on both vertical edges. But once again in real world viewing I have not noticed this at all.
The sound quality is also acceptable/good from the standard speakers. I found them loud enough and not distorted, although as stated previously, I have hearing loss. And having said that, the quality of the TVs speakers does not matter in my circumstances as I have connected the TV via Toslink to my Yamaha Home Theatre system (two floor speakers, two shelf speakers, a centre speaker and a sub-woofer).
The Tizen OS is good with many options, it is quite polished and has the Apps that I will ever use (e.g. Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, ABC iview, SBS on Demand, and the Free-to-Air stations).
I find the remote control annoying to use with the smooth wheel (as opposed to the remote being all buttons), but I am getting better at using it, so practice makes perfect.
I have had the TV for a month and have spent many hours watching movies, sports and playing Xbox games and I am very happy with the viewing experience on all three genres mentioned with no detrimental viewing anomalies (not apparent to me anyway).
* Movies: Previewed a range of movies (including animated) and TV shows and everything looked great. * Sports - I watched the NFL playoff games and the Superbowl and the picture was fantastic, the colours really "popped". I also watch some of the Australian Open and it also looked good. * Gaming - played Call of Duty - Black Ops 6 (on an Xbox Series X) and once again the colours were excellent. I am just an ad-hoc/ part time gamer (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber), my skills level is lower/middle tier level in multiplayer game results (my K/D is usually over 1.00 to 1.00 (1.00-2.00+ to 1). But to me the game played really well, with no apparent lagging etc. (which is not an issues as I have a specific gaming monitor to use if I felt it necessary).
Only time will tell how well it goes long term re dead pixels and the LED backlights and the warranty.
I must say, this has been the most disappointing television I have ever purchased and a complete waste of $650. The lack of support for Disney+ is unacceptable, and the inability to watch movies directly from a USB drive is highly inconvenient. Additionally, the TV does not recognize the Max streaming service, which further limits its… Read more
functionality. I strongly advise against purchasing this brand, as it fails to deliver on even the most basic expectations. Save your money and invest in a more reliable option.
Do not buy!!! – I would give zero stars if possible. Do not buy. It is cheap but will last barely a year! We had the exactly same issue as described by another user below when the tv was just outside warranty. Both tvs bought at the same time. A line started showing up at the bottom of the screen when the tv was about 1 year old. It didn’t bother us so we didn’t… Read more
seek replacement at the time. At 1.5 years old the colours on the started playing up more until it became all black. Tv was bought in July 2023 and does not work anymore. Melting on the left bottom corner similar to what happened to other user. We contacted the store which advised us to contact the outside warranty service. We learnt Aldi would not replace or refund us. We then contact Bauhn customer service which referred us to an authorised repair service. The authorised company said there is no fix as it would cost too much to repair. Waste of money and time. Stay away from this tv. Very disappointing product offered by Aldi and very poor customer service.

Aldi TV - I think not! – Bought the 55" Aldi TV as our faithful 12yr old LG was starting to play up. Given the price ($479) the Aldi TV represented good value for what you were supposed to get. Initial set up was OK but it always had poor sound quality, which thankfully was solved by hooking it up to our existing sound bar. Response to the remote control was always slow… Read more
and flicking through channels or adjusting the volume was painful. At the 12 month old period, it began to vary the colours on screen, regardless of content. People would vary from anemic to very pink skin and back again along with the background changing also (refer video). Didn't matter if it was the news on the commercial networks, streaming services or a DVD, they all suffered the picture quality issue. Finally, this week (and around 16 months old) it gave up entirely and the screen just had lines from top to bottom in varying colours. The scary part was that the lower left corner of the TV case had begun to distort and melt when the screen stopped working. As a result of this melting a residue had been left on the tv screen above where this occurred. Had we not been home at the time, the story could've been a lot worse we fear. Our suggestion is simple.....KEEP CLEAR AND BUY A BRAND NAME TV
Steer clear – Not even a year old and it has so many lines and broken pixels, it's wall hung and out of reach of kids etc so that's not the issue. I've lost my receipt aswell so can't exchange Show details

Horrible TV, horrible after sales service, poor from Aldi – This has to be the worst purchase I have ever made and the after product support is even worse, the importer of the product, Tempo, has to have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Like a lot of reviews of these products, you get a good 8-10 months of quality picture and audio then the colours will run and it will pixelate.… Read more
Mine was inside warranty but that doesn't matter as the after sale support team can't and won't help. First I was promised a replacement back in June and now here we are in August and I have only just been told a refund is my only option and that has only happened because I followed them up, again and again and again. Stay away from this product and Aldi should find better supplier partners as these guys do not do justice to their brand.
Tv OK. WIFI module is terrible – Has terrible wifi signal. I can sit right next to the tv with my phone and my phone shows FULL wifi signal. But the TV drops in and out of 1 bar of reception. Absolutely poor poor poor Show details
Cannot connect via Bluetooth – Hi I used to be able Bluetooth my phone to TV and watch Netflix Now can only do audio sound. Now I'm being asked to by a casting program subscription. What has changed? Show details
Nice TV but the LG APP to add Apps hangs – We bought the TV as we specifically wanted to watch ABC iView and SBS On Demand. Our current tv is unable to get those apps as it is too old and the software is not compatible. If you want to download apps on this tv, you must sign in to your LG account. So each of us downloaded the LG ThinQ onto our smartphones and then tried to download the ABC… Read more
iView app. Despite already being logged into our LG account on the tv and before trying to download the app, the tv demanded we log into our LG account again. When put in our login details and pressed enter/ok, the 'processing circle' appeared and then simply stopped. We pressed enter again, and the same thing happened. We both tried the three available methods of downloading an app, but in each case the tv demanded we log into our LG account, the 'processing circle' appeared and then simply stopped. For this reason, we returned the tv and received a full refund from ALDI.

Apps wont install even after factory reset – Logged a case with their support provider "Tempo" chasing for over 1 month. Fist the Netflix app, Prime and other apps that ship with the TV suddenly stopped working. It came up with the install screen. Then when you went to install it failed. All network connections are fine, no IPS blocking etc. You still can install 3rd party apps fine, just… Read more
not the ones shipped. I have factory reset and made no difference. Now for some reason Neflix now works but Prime still does not work. It bizarre. Its also like a "Factory reset" does not really take it back to factory. p.s. If someone from Tempo of Bauhn is reading this the case number is: CS00618645

Know better, choose better.
So far so good – What a great TV for the price. Aldi's Bauhn TV supporting Samsung's Tizen, which I personally prefer to their other WebOS options as it integrates into my Samsumg SmartThigns app alongside my other Samsung TVs and appliances. The downside is that it doesnt seem to allow for the Universal Remote option for the Fetch TV box, but otherwise the… Read more
picture quality is excellent and the speakers seem great.
It is super light, which always concerns me with TVs, but whilst it is working, then happy days.
Great value at a reasonable price – This smart TV is easy to install and to operate. Sound and picture are brilliant. I can not fault the TV. The other brilliant thing with Aldi is the 60 days no question return. Show details
not that great – as the saying is you get what you pay for, cheap and not that great Show details
Has to have an internet connection to adjust the sound – TV is OK but sound is pathetic - can hardly hear it. If I'd known I would have to pay extra for a sound bar (that I can't afford) I would have bought a dearer TV. UPDATE: Have found a way to get the sound working properly and TV is now working satisfactorily. (A friend connected it to their internet to adjust the sound - There is no internet connection where the TV is being used) Show details
Great picture; abyssmal sound – I wanted to move to a smart tv, having a Panasonic TV more than 10 years old, which has been faultless. I chose this Aldi model coz it suited my budget. At 43cm its big enough for my small unit and uses less power than the Panasonic. It is also about 1/3 of the weight! It was easy to plug in and get going. However the pic colour and sound were… Read more
terrible.
Fiddling around with the pic settings eventually got it looking very good and being 4k, its embarrassing seeing how bad most peoples skin is!! So I'm now impressed with the picture qualities.
The sound is another story! Totally unusable! It sounds like people are talking with a gas mask on their face!
I purchased a cheap sound bar from BigW. At least I could now understand voices. That was for short term only.
I'm now setting up/revising my (still working!) 50yo hifi speakers to take over. New 4-way crossover with a new minature amplifier with BT to use instead of my 50yo power-sucking Pioneer Amp.
How long the tv lasts is another matter but at least this one lets me use its features and work out what is good before I get a brand-name model.
