Vaughn tv 70inch. Just the worst tv ever made. Complete waste of money. I would rather rip my privates off and throw them into traffic than buy a piece of s**t like this ever again. Show details
Avoid this crap – Well I got almost 2 years out of this ALDI Bauhn 4K Ultra HD 50". But even at the low price I expected a longer life than this. Suddenly a flickering reflection of the bottom part of the screen was reflected in the top half. Contacted the store where I bought it, but no deal. In a recent house move must haave lost track of the receipt. Sorry,… Read more
no warranty, I'm told not even under the provisions of Australian Consumer Law. So I suppose I'll have to put it out with the hard rubbish. Lesson learnt. Good price, but too good to be true. Lesson.. Avoid the centre aisles of the Aldi store; the stuff is crap!
Edit July '23: This review based on cost, VS like cost TVs – July 2023, TV now displays purple lines on screen, an attempt to return, repair or investigate with Aldi will be commenced. Reduced to 2 stars. This TV sits along side similar priced and specced JB HI FI FFAlcon TVs, all which function as new. *** Aldi Bauhn ATV50UHDW - 0422 4K Web OS TV I reviewed this TV installed side by side with a Ffalcon… Read more
50UF2. Both with Xbox One S attached.
Clearly a rebranded LG TV, same remote and OS. Easy to set up.
TV is bright, about 10% higher nits than the Ffalcon.
Green colour looks better than the Ffalcon.
Colours in general pop nice.
Blacks and contrast is surprising for the price. TV automatically detects the game console and changes to low latency mode. Input latency was bearable.
Speakers are terrible, and met my expectations exactly - get a soundbar. *My young gamers wear headphones.
At $449 this is a significant quality jump at a lower price than JB Hi Fi's Ffalcon TVs (which are a sub brand of TCL).
Powercord is fixed, can't be removed, seems odd.
