Starts off semi ok but goes downhill after 1.5 years – Ok so where to start? The value for money seems great and Aldi are excellent with their warranties as I'd experienced in the past. have this tv and the magic remote is extremely unreliable on screen as a pointer. There's a lot I don't like about the OS but anyway within about 14 months it started to get horizontal lines across the screen which were annoying but still watchable as it was a huge tv mounted to the bedroom wall and we knew we were still covered by Australian consumer law past the original 12 months. Anyway, it just got worse and worse until the tv screen just started going black completely but sound was still coming through. I've only just gotten around to dealing with this but they want receipts, videos, photos and all that nonsense. If a television was bought that was manufactured within the last two years just like apple, you shouldn't have to show provide proof. I have the receipt but imagine some people thinking they have a tv that should last a few years losing their proof of purchase? I mean it's aldi exclusive, where else would you buy it? Anyway dealing with the warranty process now, I hope they provide the newer model made from Samsung parts as this isn't acceptable when you're still paying the most part of 1000 bucks??
