The box is large and really needs two people and a large vehicle or roof rack to get it home. Once there and unpacked, it took only about half an hour to assemble with the provided Allen key. One leg assembly was slightly twisted and needed a bit of effort to bolt in but anyone who can assemble IKEA furniture will have no problems.

You get two main couches, seven back rests, one ottoman, six leg assemblies and the necessary screws and cushions. The two main couches are identical - suitable for three adults sitting with one end being able to raise into a reclining position.

The back rests can be inserted into the various holes around the frames to provide a wide range of configurations, with plastic plugs provided to fill the unused holes. Two "clips" are provided to link the units together in an L or straight layout.

Other than the one slightly mis-shapen leg assembly I found no problems with the set except that there are no drain holes at the bottom of the holes for fitting the back rests into. I can see a situation where the cushions are away during the winter and water will sneak into the frame through the main holes and build up, getting stagnant. Being aluminium it shouldn't rust but a valid criticism nonetheless - a 5mm bit in my drill should soon sort that problem.

The set is comfortable enough, the backs are perhaps a little low for adults reclining in a couch layout but as recliners they are great. The slatted ottoman can double as a coffee table if the cushion is not fitted. The olefin fabric cushions should resist sun damage and be easy to keep clean.

Disappointed – Unpacked our units only to find the legs frames were missing. Was looking forward to relaxing today, but instead I pack it all up again and now have to wait for 2 days before I can contact anyone. Show details
