i just purchased this chair today , and now read it has been recalled ! Model: SX 8242S. my husband is returning home from Open Heart Surgery and am now scared to use it. Why was it available if unsafe , now i suppose you want me to pack it back up and bring it back to store when it shouldnt have been for sale in the first place. I this is so I'll be interested in your response.
You're either on the wrong page or you've mistaken the electric recliner for the manual one that was recalled. You're also on a product review page, not ALDI.
Sliding the back of the seat into the locking bracket seems to be an issue so it was left unassembled until it can be confirmed if the small "ears" on the top bracket have to be pressed in behind and pop out through a hole to lock in place or does the bottom bracket simply rest on the top one. It seems unstable in this configuration? Matthew T
