Strange, isn't it? – The oven bought Jun 2017 The set temperature is e.g. 180C. When it reaches about 140C, it switches off and after 50 seconds switches on. I need to press the Manual button and the oven will be working for 90 seconds and will switch off for 50 seconds. This will cycle till the cooking is over, 90 s on - 50 s off. This is the third time the problem… Read more · 1
is repeated. Twice before it was fixed by itself and lasted about 10 months and this one is present for about seven months and I hope it will disappear tomorrow. Regards NovoNew
Problem with resetting the time – I have difficulty to reset the time on conventional oven ( Stirling) the instruction only said how to set the time for the first time
Worst oven I have ever owned – Stopped working after 2 weeks, service man came 2 months later said not covered under warranty said it was cockroach damage. The covering on the circuit boards on this oven seem to be a cockroach"s favourite food, they should make cockroach baits out of them! Show details
DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THESE – I have owned 2 ovens for 4 years. The dial is 30 deg C out. 150 on dial is actually 180. We were burning every thing. When the temperature reaches 180 on the external thermometer I turn back the dial till the light goes out. I then use an external thermometer probe to monitor the temperature. The temperature rises another 5 deg then slowly… Read more
drops to 165 before the power kicks back in. It then takes 10+ minutes to get back to 180 deg. unless you manually turn the dial up before the temp drops to far..... this is like running a steam train. (more coal, more coal). They are cheap ovens and you get less than you pay for. MR ALDI. If you keep selling products like this you will loose customer confidence. and your stock will not move.
Do not buy this oven! Mine has died 3 times in 2 years! – While it's a great price and may look quality, this oven is not worth the money you 'save' up front rather than buying a bit more expensive oven. Ours has died 3 times in 2 years. They have fixed it twice - first the thermostat broke so it wouldn't heat up (...essential), then the display stopped working, and now it's complete died, nothing on the… Read more
display, won't turn on. Wonderful! Now I get to replace it... and pay an electrician AGAIN to install a replacement one. You aren't saving yourself money by buying this oven - give it a hard pass!!
Terrible – Smoke or steam comes out every time the door opens. Roasted potatoes on 180. Funny smell came from oven, all the paint at the bottom had bubbled. Terrible to clean. Would not buy again Show details
Cheap and nasty do not buy – The oven does cook evenly as long as you don’t need a thermostat. Currently temperature set at 160 and thermostat I have had to use as temperatures are all over the place says 205. If I turn it down to 150 it may not even make 150. Really inconvenient to get electrician out. Tempo very hard to deal with. Very disappointed and would not recommend. Oven door gets so hot it’s dangerous. Show details
Update on repairs after months. Had new thermostat but oven was worse than ever. Just luck I was… Read more
Overheats and cuts out – Worked when first installed, then it seems to have lost its thermostat, and keeps heating until it cuts out. I made a warranty claim on Tempo, and also mentioned that the writing had worn off the knobs. They sent me new knobs and closed the complaint Grrr. I opened a new compliant , got the outsourced technician out and he said it was… Read more
overheating because of the cupboard it was in, and advised us to drill holes to increase air flow.
We took it out of the cupboard and sat it on the bench, still the same problem.
Waiting for repair, hoping for a refund.
A cheal oven that does the job – This is listed as being discontinued but Aldi may well bring it back. Exterior is stainless steel but interior is enamel. The interior temperature is well balanced by the internal fan. It also has an external fan to keep its surrounds cool. The only issue is poor treatment of the push buttons which tend to wear 3 year warranty for the low price is good Show details
Good for the price – I bought this when my old oven died suddenly. It was very reasonably priced compared to other brands. It has worked perfectly since I purchased it, cooks food beautifully and has given me no trouble at all. It looks good, it's stainless steel and very easy to clean as well. Show details
works well – I am renovating my unit and took advantage of Aldi's cook top / oven offer at bargain prices. Both work fine and the oven is so much better that my old one. I just had to get used to cooking at lower indicated temperatures as it is much more efficient than the one it replaces. I would buy this unit again if the need arose. Show details
Cheap and working! – Bought it from Aldi to replace old oven which lost grill function. So far it has been good, working well, reasonable easy to clean. It has 5 basic functions but no fancy programs or self cleaning capabilities. Mind you, I only paid $299 therefore I can't complain, will update later on reliability. Show details
Can't go wrong for the price – Oven has worked very well since installing. Compared to our old one it's a dream. Heats up quickly and cooks roasts really well. We use this oven 4-5 times a week and it hasn't failed us. The only disadvantage is the timer and alarm - the alarm is quiet so you can't hear it from 2 rooms away and setting the alarm is a bit fiddly. Other than that it does exactly what an oven should do.
