ALDI Stirling Ice Cream Maker Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhy is my Sterling ice cream maker not working and churning on mix cycle. It is on lock mode. Led is working. Mix precooled to 4 C.( not preheated). I actually bought 2 units one for my daughter as well- i tested both and one of the mixing heads has seized and refuses to work. Otherwise the base unit is still working. In other words the working unit head worked on both bases but the seized unit does not work on either base unit. I need a new mixing head given it only had 4 uses since it was bought 10 months ago that's not a good sign for purchase quality. Appreciate any help. Ross
They have strange design where lead can fit both "half way" positions. However, only one side has contacts. Try it other way to align contacts. Hope it helps.
Thanks I actually bought 2 one for the daughter and set then both up later. The problem is the actually mixing head itself it has stopped working, seems to have seized in plac and refuses to move.

Can this machine be used to make frozen yoghurt?
is the paddle meant to turn while mixing. I have double checked the lid and the paddle and everything seems to be right. When i select the mixing mode and start it the timer counts down but the paddle is not moving. This is the first time i have used it.
If you overfill it, you can't see it moving, but it does. Also, when you close the lid there are pins to be aligned with the machine body. You can close lid in couple of ways, but only in one position or will align. If it doesn't the paddle won't function.
it is not overfilled as i can see the paddle. I am sure i have the lid in the correct position. i lined up the arrows and turned clockwise until it clicked, i have reread the instructions and feel i am doing everything correctly.
ok I have just wasted your time and mine. I did not see the lock unlock on the other side of the lid and had it in wrong. sorry just having a seniors moment. thanks for your prompt resonse.
I have the Aldi ice cream machine but I can’t get it from the ice cream mode to the gelato mode help please. I do love this machine
I have the Aldi Stirling ice cream maker and it has started to beep every ten seconds or so while it is operating. I have checked the lid and bowl and paddle and all seems ok. Has anyone had this problem? the manual only mentions the above causing it to beep. I cant find what the problem is. Thanks
Nothing helpful on LCD screen? They're also arrows when closing door thru need to be aligned. If answer yes to both try to start it without nothing inside. If it doesn't beep the problem in mixing mechanism. If it does beep the problem most likely in compressor or other sensors. Hope it helps.
It seems to have come good thanks. I took it all out for the third time and back in and it’s now ok. Think it’s sensitive to the locking mechanism. We will see.
the beeps are back. i've contacted the service people and they've no idea. its out of warranty so i will just put up with it until it dies or cant take it anymore
how do I re- set the timer. Mine is stuck on 20 mins. So unless I re- set it every 20 mins the machine only works for 20mins
I'm not sure if you do have the same product. In mine I choose what I'd like to make and the machine does its thing. There is no timer in the icecream setting, just a time lapsed counter. The machine stops when the content riches the right consistency. The feedback is based in mixer motion resistance rather than a timer.

Hi Karen, not 100% sure whom your message was addressed to as this is an Aldi icecream maker that is sold only by Aldi. You can check your local stock for this item here: external link However, if you find nothing, please check my video review (direct links in the video description part) for other icecream maker options albeit they might be a bit more expensive. Hope it helps.
