Bought this to hook up to my timber thicknesses and it works a treat. Cut the top off the bag and taped it around the filter as the bag filled up so quickly so now I just empty the bin and give the outside of the bag a light blow with the compressor Show details
Terrible started smoking . Thought it was going to catch fire . It got very frightened . Ran fast to unplug it. While vacuuming carpet in hallway . Its very light weight . Before the smoke i thought it was an excellent vacuum . Pity . I took it back and got got a refund . Show details
Follow-up · Not sure what caused the smoke. I was just vacuuming my carpeted hallway . Suction was very good powerful . It just started smoking pretty badly from under ?? No smoke from the top part . I got such a fright .. smell not so much . why it happened ??. I still don't know .
Louder than a jet plane with poor suction – It is so loud that it is unbearable. It should come with a warning to wear ear protection. The cord is very short, you have to use it with an extension cord which just creates a snag issue. The suction is quite weak, for all the noise you'd think it would stuck up a planet but instead it's rather weak It tends to to over a fair bit because… Read more
it's a bit top heavy
The hoses are cheap and fairly inflexible
I can't really think of anything positive, the price might be cheap but hearing damage is not worth it
Save your money don't buy it – Build quality is poor, lead is too short, wand and tools cheap and nasty Noisy operation. If your planning to use it in a workshop or a job site save your money and buy some other brand. Show details
Noise unbearable. Should require earmuffs to use. Only used inside once – This vacuum cleaner is so load it could easily be over 100db. It definitely requires the use of earmuffs at it current noise level. Show details
Just keeps going and going – This is the 2400w model # MWW706S-35L-1200WC with the 35L metal tank. Brought in 2019 with 3 year warranty. Cons - Can be unstable and prone to tipping over when being pulled along uneven ground in particular on paving Pros - reliable, easy to use, clean out, sound construction for outdoor use. Dry filter and be cleaned by air pressure or garden… Read more
hose Use - this has been used consistently since purchase in Aug 2019 in the garage to clean up workshop debris and yard when doing misc woodwork. Have also used inside to clean up water that overflowed in the laundry. No complaints. The Vac/Blower function is handy to clean off dust and sawdust. The large 35L tank I think is more ideally suited to a static setup where the vac is attached under a med-large workbench and connected to various power tools to collect sawdust. I don't have this setup but would if I had the garage space. Otherwise I've never had the tank more than 10cm full before emptying so some people may find a model with the small tank better suited. The dry filter is great and can be cleaned so no having to buy costly replacement filters
Very good for our farm vehicles good suction a longer suction hose would make it fantastic – Cleaning cars and sheds plus also house a tough vacuum not scared to use it all over.
Bags from where? – Great on all surfaces but need know where I can purchase replacement bags? Nor can I find anyone to contact to find direction. The Aldi store suggested returning the unit but I'd prefer to have the bags. Thank you Show details
Almost good – Came across this small wet&dry vacuum cleaner at Aldi at a very good price. Positives: - Plastic container which will not rust after sucking water - Very good suction - Blower function - Lightweight - Feels quite robust except for the plastic tube which is very thin - Has a paper bag Negatives: - It is loud - Cable is only 3m long - Floor nozzle is tiny, only 18cm wide, i.e. I reuse an old one
great when it was going – i found this vacuum to be pretty good, till it lost sucsion and died,to get spare parts would be good then i could fix it and go again for another year or 2 Show details
Brilliant for dog hair in particular , excellent suction , wish I’d bought 3 – All , mostly hard surfaces but fine on carpet also light to move , easy to empty , huge holding capacity . For the money it’s my go to over my Dyson every time Show details
Don't bother – As previously stated this vac has little to no suction. Hoses are flimsy and cheap. This unit is destined for the tip, a complete waste of money. Spend a little more and get something that works Show details
This vacuum sucks – This vacuum sucks but not in the way you need! The model is the Aldi branded "Ferrex TVC125". For those who know about power ratings, 1200 watts (rated) means nothing about it's real capacity to pick stuff up off the floor. There is "power input, and there is "power output" which is not stated. At a guess, I would say it's sucking power is around… Read more
700 watts. It does suck, but very weakly. We have a large area of outdoor paving bricks and we get small leaves, dead insects and also sawdust if I have done some woodwork on the verandah. This machine struggled to pick up much of the above and I found myself having to go back over and over the area. The power cord is exceptionally short and the "floor tool" is very flimsy and small. The wand is flimsy plastic but I had a metal one the same size from an old vac so I thought this could be good, but the sucking power of this thing makes it almost useless. I never intended to use it for liquids but gauging from the sucking power it has on dry stuff, it's hard to imagine it would suck up any liquid at all. Save your seventy bucks and be prepared to spend probably double that for an outdoor vacuum cleaner that works well. This one does not ! This one of those Aldi items that should have the "Satisfaction Guarantee", rather than a three year warranty. That way, I could return it which of course I would.

It sucks, with faults – No denying this vac has plenty of sucking ability. However, you have to keep it upright or else it loses suction and you have to open the compartment and reset the bag. Speaking of the bag: where do you buy replacements? Mine has split. Can't get them anywhere. Good for the price. We've had ours for a few years just to vac the car. It's good, but have to make sure it stays upright, and the metal body gets hot. If only you can buy bags for it Show details
great vacumes – I have the one you can use sander dust collection on brilliant, and 2 smaller ones, price wow so cheap suction is brilliant one for inside, and one for outside its so light i can carry and simply suck up lolly wrappers or butts lazy people dropped. Leaves dropped by my bushes, bottom of bird aviary, it is so powerful i just take of lid and empty… Read more
in the bin. have not had problem with any of them, BUT you must clean the filter so easy take out i use stiff dry nail brush filter catches so much dust and fluff, just brush out of filter into bin, will not crack up on you if its not choking for air.
No good – I have had this vac for around a year and have used it about 5 times. No wonder that it has been discontinued. It is now useless after only 5 uses. Wont even pick up dust. Hope they don't reintroduce it in its current form. Aldi is usually good but not this time. Show details
Workzone vaccum – Workzone vaccum is good wet and dry option even tho never tried the wet option as too worried. Love you can use grinder or a sander at the same time and not make a mess Had it for years then just gave up one year while moving house. But for price im happy
