Alpha Ute Canopy

Canopy supplied and installed by Matt and his team at Burleigh Heads. Matt went above and beyond with customer service, very happy. Customised to suit my needs. Highly recommended with competitive pricing. Show details
Follow-up · This canopy is everything I wanted, best decision ever - brilliant
Quick response – Phoned with an issue (had lost the keys) and was able to have it resolved the same day. The team exceeded my expectations with their service. At the time of leaving this review the fibregalsss Canopy is 7 years old and fitted with remote locking on the tailgate and a lift and slide window setup. No Issues throughout the life of the canopy. Really nice canopy let down by very weak catches – My ute is fitted with a top model Alpha canopy. All good until we went on outback dirt roads. One by one every side window catch came loose, broke then bits fell out and some attaching items disappeared into the base of the canopy frame. Super thin and flimsy pot-metal anchor plates break - also nothing seems to stop the bolts and screws undoing. … Read more
I bought 4 replacement catch kits and they look marginally stronger but due to that modification the single hold down screw is now tiny. Also guess what? I have to remove the whole canopy from the ute to fit them. Not impressed. I reckon a thief would take 5 seconds to gain access to these canopies.
Long term review – I purchased an Aplha CME canopy for my Amarok in 2014 with solid lift up windows. It was fitted by Caddy at Parkinson QLD. A few years later the edges started to craze and the locks failed. Caddy weren't much help at the time and today I found out to replace the gas struts (which have sagged) and locks would be +$600. Can't really recommend either… Read more
company as you are pretty much on your own after you buy from them. The Caddy store at Lawton was the most helpful when it came to a couple of issues.
Don't buy one – After an exhaustive internet search, I purchased an Alpha Ute Canopy with sliding side windows and ute liner. Company insisted on doing the canopy install. I had to re install canopy it when I got home because: Front & side "walls" were not sealing against ute lip/rail - purchased additional water/dust proof heavy duty weather seal and re… Read more
installer canopy. All good! Canopy started to leak around rear door window - purchased automotive window adhesive/caulking, eventually completely resealing rear window to stop water/rain ingress - All good! Rear door drainage compromised by fancy plastic "grates" on drains. Modified grates to allow leaves etc to pass out. All good! Ute (plastic) liner almost a complete waste of money. What I would call a universal fit type (not made for my ute) - covered tie downs and markedly reduced ute floor space. The only part I now use is the tail gate cover.
