Very small, clean and powerful – I've purchased this to run my Focal E 25 KX subwoofer. I'm running a 2ohm load which produces over 900 watts RMS. This amplifier is small in foot print, efficient, making a lot of power with relatively little heat which makes it suitable for mounting in less than ideal spaces. The amp being a dedicated mono has little adjustment, a subsonic… Read more

filter, low pass filter and gains. It has RCA level inputs only (thankfully), 4 guage power and I believe 8 guage speaker wire connectors.

The power and speaker outputs are "quick disconnect" and done require a screw driver or Allen keys for servicing .

On the downsides the adjustment pots are under a cover, which requires akward removal of tiny grub screws. This amp also has ugly, cheap plastic trims you need to fit yourself. Personally their R-series amps are far easier to access and tune and although also cheap looking I feel they're still better looking than these.

All in all this is a great sounding, powerful and affordable amplifier with few letdowns other than the ugly covers and difficult access for tuning.

This Amplifier Is A BEAST – This is an amplifier which only powers a sub-woofer (or two) - it doesn't do doors / tweeters etc. The power it provides is just incredible - 600 Watts RMS into 4 Ohms, or 900 Watts RMS into 2 Ohms - all with a THD of 0.02%. If you are reading this review then presumably you have a bit of an idea of car audio, and you know that those numbers are… Read more

impressive! Especially for the price - on the Alpine website it says $699, but I got it on special for $450.

For anybody who wants a top of the range consumer level sub-woofer amplifier, I can't think of a better performing competitor. The only people that this amplifier won't satisfy are sound-off car builders, or sociopaths. What this amplifier does with sound is truly abusive - ears will ring, neighbors will complain, vehicle panels will vibrate, pedestrians will stare, rear vision mirrors will fall off (yes!!).

I love that all of the terminals (power / RCA / speaker) are on one side of the amplifier which allows for a cleaner install. Also, this amplifier has high level (speaker) inputs which also provide an auto turn-on. For a monster car audio system this is not a factor, but for the average Joe who just wants to upgrade their audio, this means that you can use your factory head unit to provide signal to the amplifier through the speaker wires - no head unit replacement, no speaker to RCA adapters, no signal wire - so much simpler to install.

Unless you are going to compete in sound-offs etc, this will do everything that you want - for cheap!!
