Andi MPK1-09CR / 12ER / 14ER Questions & Answers
What is the horsepower of MPK1 12er ac?
Are these units heaters as well?
Where can I get spare parts ????
Does a ANDI MOBILE AIR CON MPK1-12ER need water if so where do i put it
Hi Kelly L. The 14er is refrigerated and does not require water. I can only assume the 12er is the same. The side drawer that is probably causing you confusion (as it did to me too) is not to put water, but to actually collect water that it may produce. Once it collects a certain amount of water it will trigger the float (bit with the foam arm) which will let you know you need to empty the drawer.
It sucks that there aren't any user manuals for us to refer too, only the service manual. I hope this brings some clarity on how to use the unit.
I do have a question for you though. My unit never came with a window kit. I'm looking to buy a generic one off ebay, would you please be kind enough to let me know the size of the plate that slides into the back of the unit. length/width ....
thanks.
Ricky
Where do you put water in aircon?
What is the price?
How do I get parts for the unit when its saying discontinued unit works well just need to replace parts as some gone missing
If you require new duct, you can purchase compatible aluminium foil or PVC type from Bunnings. The 125mm diameter replacement duct seems to fit into the connector fine. external link
How much can I sell my Andi model MPKI-14ER for, only used 3 times was excellent but no need for it now
Try selling it for half of what you paid.
Hi there
What the 'Full' red light means and how can i fix that?
Thank you very much!
It means either the removable container needs to be emptied or you need to release the valve at the lower back of the unit and let the water drain.
My unit is cooling for a few minutes and then switching to fan mode. It is still very hot in the room so it's definitely not reaching set temp before switching to fan. Is this normal??
I found this air con at a Salvos. my air con is leaking from the bottom. 1. I have a tube coming out of the back centre of the air con draining into a bucket. 2 I have plugged the back base tray plug in. 3. why does right side compartment have a hole in the top? Am I supposed to have a tube coming out of that too? Any help would be appreciated.
Hole at the top is optionally used to drain to bucket. I'm still not 100% sure of its purpose. However the hole at the bottom is used when you need to drain the inner water storage (Not the bucket). This is normally needed when you need to move the aircon to a new location and prevent accidental spillage.
Now there is a water pump inside the unit which moves water from the inner water storage to the bucket. If this water pump fails, or is clogged, then the inner water storage will just keep filling up. There is a safety sensor for this when it gets full and comes as a P2 error and shuts off the unit.
A temporary solution is to keep draining the bottom hole every time you get the P2 error.
The correct solution is to open the whole unit up and inspect & clean/replace the water pump. Getting to the water pump can be a nightmare though.
Thank u so much for getting back to me but I ended up disposing of it last month.

Do we put water in it or will the aircon work with out water ?
Definitely not. This air-conditioner uses the same principle as a refrigerator. Water is only put into evaporative coolers -- If you have purchased or obtained one of these types (an Andi MPK1-12ER) and it does not cool the unit is probably out of coolant gas and should be looked at by a refrigeration mechanic.
Where can I purchase one of these in Brisbane?
I purchased this machine in Bundaberg (where I live) at Clive Peeters which is now Joyce Mayne in 2010. I had looked at Bunnings and they at that time were also selling these units. Yo could also try the internet.
If you get a room air conditioner ensure that the vent tube is correctly installed as per the instructions and to test the efficacy by putting a thermometer into the cold air stream. The air coming out of the unit must be below 12˚C or lower in order to efficiently cool a room.

Thanks heaps
I want to download ANDI MPK1-14ER user manual? Help me.
There is no specific instruction manual for each model just a general one. What particular information do you need from the manual and I may be able to scan it and send it to an address
Have a market type shop no nearby window to put pipe out
want reverse cycle what do u suggest?
In order to use as an air-conditioner (cooler) you simply must have the pipe going out a window or outside. If you want to heat just turn on the heat and unit should function as a heater. When used as a heater there is no need to put the pipe on as the unit uses and electric heater element. Now if you want to heat the place with the exhaust when in Cooling mode there must be some separation between the cooler outlet and the hot air outlet otherwise you are just spinning your wheels and cooling the expelling hot air. This is not at all efficient. The MPK1-09CR is for cooling only not heating. This system is not like the reverse cycle split air-conditoner we have in the lounge rooms in Australia. These heat by using the system in reverse whereas these room air-conditioners use a heating element in the unit as the room is so much smaller.
