for eufy. I decided to return the faulty camera under warranty to Harvey Norman where I purchased the cameras but they told me to use the app to make a warranty claim. After filling out the warranty form on the app It came to my attention that there is no warranty service selection for eufy in Australia.

Cameras have limits, not great in high traffic areas. Miss some action and battery drains quickly. If you have an issue good luck - Customer Service is very poor. Have been waiting months for any meaningful response from the Customer Service team after the home base failed. Show details

Waste of money – We own 6 Eufy security cameras Almost all of them have had faults Worst of all the solo cam solar Had stopped working communist outside of warranty it filled with water well before that but because I didn’t realise until just outside warranty they refused to fix it!!! Waste of money and absolutely no after sales service at all. Should last more than one year for spending thousands!

Good camera with poor cloud subscription! – I bought the camera set ca couple weeks ago and was quite happy with it till i found out that for that subscription that you have to pay every month the video quality gets downgraded to 1080P instead of the 2K that i bought and expected. It’s really disappointing that you spend the money for a high resolution camera but the 2k is not supported with the cloud service.. Show details

Love it but one out of three died suddenly/no warning – Bought home base and three cameras less than 18 months ago and I really really love these…. Until one died. their website website and had no reply for over 1 month. The email I received said reply if you still need this resolved which I did and then I no reply. When considering buying this product please be very wary about its longevity and the support service. I was excited when I bought this and now completely deflated and dissatisfied.

Update as of 14/8/25: after many emails and providing every piece of information that was requested by Directed Electronics including my receipt, today I get an email saying that they have not heard from me and are closing the ticket. This is shameful delay tactics.

 Follow-up  · An update following my original review. After literally dozens of emails the company finally decided to replace my faulty unit which is well within warranty. When the replacement turned up they provided me with a refurbished device. They couldn’t even provide me a new unit. This company has got to be one of the worst I have ever dealt with for customer service. Buyer please beware!!!!!! Look at another brand please.

All cameras and even the doorbell records randomly. Seems to miss all couriers that come to the doorstep and drop off a parcel, yet I get home and walk past and it records me on a different device each time, same route i take down my drive but only again randomly. and even though they looked like the rung the bell I was not alerted. Some doorbell alerts come through after people have walked away and yes I do have great wifi service. Randomly picks up cars with or without lights at night yet the neighbours house that got burged, not a thing yet others saw them both on foot and in cars passing our house, why wasnt this on camera? WE NO LONGER FEEL SAFE OR PROTECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM AFTER SPENDING WELL OVER A 1000 DOLLARS.

Does not function as described and Sly customer service – DO NOT BUY EUFY. their customer service is a front that has no real ability to solve any of your issues. The product is sold as having AI technology that can identify residents so you don't receive notifications as you move a out your house but this doesn't work. familiar faces that should be filtered out. Eufy even suggested I spend more money etc to upgrade my Homebase to rectify the issue (+$350) to no avail. The image quality is also poor. And the setup guide has most people captured only by the tops of their heads. The system says the AI should recognise physiques also to reduce notifications but to-date it's still asking me "is this human" not "is this Jane", for example. I have looked into consumer protection and will attempt to return my whole system to Bunnings.

Not very good and expensive – The cameras are not that good of quality considering the price you pay for them. Its an expensive setup, and to top it off, you now need a payed monthly subscription omtop of the purchase price to get all the featured. Do yourself a favour and buy a 24hr monitored system with hard drive back up. The cameras are also iffy on ehat motion they pick… Read more

Unreliable – Regularly misses events, yet alerts me to rain, dust blown around & steam. Only short recordings, so not likely to pick up critical events. System disconnects from wifi and stays off until you unplug & plug back in. Too bad if you are away for a couple of days, your security won’t be working.

Only Detect things within a meter or 2 from the camera – I bought the 2k cameras, had them to keep an eye on my shed as we have shady neighbours, someone has been in my shed twice and cameras never caught a thing, they turned on when my dogs started barking at the back fence after the fact. Poor product, even worse service from both eufy and bunnings – Bought 2 cameras with home-based unit then purchased another single camerathat failed. Worked well until it failed. Returned to bunnings mittagong and they palmed me off to eufy. 2 months now and no resolve on failed camera. Stay clear of eufy as chinese rubbish no satisfaction from either them or bunnings. Shame on bunnings for selling the product and refusing to deal with failure instead palming the problem off. Show details

Easy set up but battery life not as advertised – Easy to set up, but there are downsides. I have wireless battery cameras and was told the charge for each camera would last six months. One of the cameras needed recharging just three weeks in (I charged it fully before use). The other two will need charging soon too. weirdly enough. I’m not sure how other cameras work, but I expected to be able to go back and review footage, not just what the AI captured. The system doesn’t like being set to record more than 20 seconds of a person at a time even though the option is meant to be there, so it’s limited as once it’s triggered you seem to get your 20 seconds footage and that’s it.

reinstalled the app and many other suggestions. After the reinstall attempts, the system works fine for about 30 mins to an hour then just won’t detect motion again so it’s clearly a software issue. You might as well buy some $10 security decoy cameras because they offer the same level of protection.

this thing partly so I could see my kids outside in the various parts of my yard whilst I'm working at home. Even when viewing on PC, it times out in a couple of minutes, making this feature completely useless. I would not have purchased the product if I knew this and NONE of the online reviews that gush about how 'wonderful' this product is even mention it. It also cannot be plugged into a monitor. You must use an app, so if the internet dies, so does your security system.

Other drawbacks are how slow it is recording. When someone walks past a camera, it takes so long to begin recording that you often catch a second or two of them from behind and nothing more.

This is an expensive system and ought to be far better.

Very poor Eufy. Fix this stuff now.

Kinda works but their AI claims are a lie – The system works to an extent but their claims of being able to differentiate between animals and people is a blatant lie. The system also doesn't seem to learn that faces it regularly sees are residents. There is no way to tune the detection from what I can tell except setting the sensitivity lower. the charge lasts 6months that I cannot comment on as to yet, I actually give it 5 stars for ease of use and price, it notify you via your app if a human or it detects a motion movement very well put together.

DO NOT BUY THIS !! – DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Installed it and have been using it for a month. It is just SO unreliable. You pay a lot of money for this system (and I mean 3 to 4 times more than others) and you are NOT safe! Events you know occurred are inexplicably not recorded. A courier crossed our front yard on camera 1 (recorded) and left a package at our front door… Read more

clearly in view of camera 2 (no record at all). A neighbour’s dog poops on our lawn (3 poops. Clearly a “walker” with the still unidentified neighbour probably watching on) right in centre view of the camera. No event recorded. Yet that same camera recorded a bird flying past in a split second and the shadow of a tree blowing in the wind. I parked in front of my house and loaded up with items for recycling. No record at all. It doesn’t seem to be able to record 2 cameras at once. Or record while you’re watching live feed. They seem to be using AI logic that clearly doesn’t work. All this leaves YOU at risk. This system fails miserably as a security system. Please do not buy it.

At my age not me anymore. So I bought a refurbished class A system with four cameras. This was at a reduced price with the same warranty. Easy to install. Logging in was tricky but overcame that. Over the last few days, the system has operated as advertised and I am pleased with the high res camera images and notifications.
