Still going strong – love my MacBook Air. I have never had any problems with my Mac products, the last Mac I had had heaps of viruses (my fault) but this MacBook I have now has lasted many years with hopefully many more to go. it had by face exceeded my expectations. Show details

Fantastic! – Purchased my MacBook Air in 2013 and it has not disappointed me. 5 years in and it is still running smoothly as it was the first day. However, would recommend going for a bigger hard drive, as memory fills up pretty quickly especially having it for more than 4 years. Have bought other laptops in between & seem to always find myself going back to my MacBook Air instead.  Show details

Very resilient – A very resilient machine. Have been using this for almost 5 years and it is still going strong. The battery lasts the whole day. The keyboard works perfectly. There are way more than enough I/O ports for me to connect to my peripherals and external drives. People say the CPU is weak, but I think it's way more than enough for most people.  Show details

An exceptional laptop – The battery life on this computer is amazing and it is light, these are the main reasons why I bought it. The OS is easy to use and learn just like iPhones. Having a full-size keyboard on a laptop is awesome for typing documents. One huge drawback is that you can't really use it for gaming, but who would ever buy a Mac for gaming anyway.  Show details

MacBook Air - Worthwhile Investment – I have had my MacBook since late 2013 and am extremely satisfied with it. I have performed several OS upgrades and had no performance issues with it. The solid state drive means that it is always ready for work or general use and it is by far the best investment in a laptop/notebook I have ever made.

Best Laptop Ever – I've had my Macbook Air for over 2 years now, and I absolutely LOVE it. I've used it HEAVILY for over 2 years now (i.e. on average, many hours a day) and I anticipate I may very well have it for the next 2 as well. My model is: - Mid 2013 - 1.3 Ghz Intel Core i5 - 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 - Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB I have used it for… Read more

many things over the years. I used it heavily for writing essays while finishing my degree, for programming/web development, used VirtualBox to emulate other Oses (Ubuntu linux, ReactOS) as an e-reader for ebooks and reading materials, as a gaming machine, and all the 'usual' stuff.

I LITERALLY can't fault it:

- It's an absolute pleasure to use - the industrial design of these machines are spot on. Feather light, nice slim profile, aesthetically gorgeous. They are just so nice to use. Also, the materials and construction are surprisingly durable and hardy for such a thin/light machine - don't do anything stupid with them and you'll have a beautiful looking machine for many years!

- If you're a writer - they keyboard is DIVINE. This is the laptop for students and journalists.

- OS X works beautifully with the trackpad and overall profile of the laptop. Full-screen a text/ebook and you can read for hours. Who needs e-readers?

- Astonishingly good performance - plays Sims 4 with expansion packs no problems (may need to tweak a few game settings) despite not technically meeting recommended specs, boots up rapidly, excellent at multitasking. I use VirtualBox to run other operating systems within OS X, performance is quite good!

- Superb battery life STILL after 2 years. You'll never want another laptop with poor battery life ever again!!

Going by my own personal experience, I literally can't recommend these laptops enough. They are the bees knees. Worth every cent, has been a great investment for me. I struggle to wonder how Apple will improve on these (other than obvious improvements in performance, etc).

Don't trust Apple – I purchased our laptop a year and a half ago. It has been in for repairs twice...1200 dollars spent on it...isn't it lucky we have AppleCare?! Apple in garden city will not replace it but just keep fixing it. They say it's not up to them to replace our laptop although customer service said they know it's a dud. I know Apple is trendy at the moment… Read more

but please rethink your purchase...this is the second apple product we have had major problems with and they keep getting away with it.

It's simply fantastic – This laptop is amazing. I bought it in mid 2013 and still works as brand new. It's incredibly thin and much lighter than my previous macbook pro. It performs better thanks to the SD drive which was kind of new back then. Battery lasts a whooping 12 hours and I have tested this while I was at uni all day. Important to note that when I bought it, I… Read more

got as good as you could get, including 500GB storage. But the extra money was well spend as I still have a functional laptop that will last me for quite some time more. I see no need to have an ipad when you have this. Specially when you type on a normal size keyboard.

Great machine – Been hesitant about greeting a new MBA, after how [censored word removed] the original was when I got it a few years back. Buy I've been using this MBA for a few months now and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. Fast, quiet, great battery life etc. what's not to love. Any concerns I had are gone completely. A+++ Sometimes I find some marks on the screen from the keys, but other than that, awesome.

13" Macbook Air - Fantastic machine slightly let down by the display – Hardware is generally fantastic, with the trackpad and keyboard a pleasure to use. As a uni student the relatively low price ($1120) and fantastic battery life (thanks to Haswell) made this an ideal machine. My only real complaint concerns the screen, which suffers significant vertical contrast shifting issues and produces a white that is too… Read more

red for my liking. Unfortunately I have not found an easy way to tweak the red, blue, and green colour settings to fix the white 'issue' like I can on my Windows 7 desktop machine.

It took me a little while to get used to Mac OS X, but after installing an application to enable window snapping and another to enable writing to external NTFS drives I've found it to be a competent operating system. The trackpad gestures that the OS facilitates are brilliant, and were one of the major reasons I chose this computer over the abomination that is Windows 8.

I'm a very happy customer and can highly recommend this machine to anyone that does a lot of light computer work on the go. Light, rigid body, fantastic battery life, and brilliant trackpad and keyboard. Screen is a TN panel with noticeable vertical contrast shifts and a fairly 'red' white that is not easily adjustable in Mac Os X.
