This product is not very good – I purchased the first one on Feb 13 2023. i returned it on feb 17 because the outside sender would not work the replacement unit worked OK until March 21 when the outside sender failed to connect, the sender battery voltage was 2.95V replaced the battery. new battery 3.2 V after 20 minutes the sender would not connect. i will now seek a refund from Bunnings and get a better unit Show details

Easy to set up but didn’t last – This unit worked well but the exterior sender failed within 6 months. The product wasn’t cheap either so I would have expected it to last longer so very dissatisfied now Show details

Doesn’t work – Bought from Bunnings connected unit and straightaway noticed that the outdoor unit fails to connect to the indoor unit therefore you cannot read temperature outside. Don’t waste your time or money I should’ve known better you get what you pay for. Show details

What do you want for $20 - try this, works every time – Awesome unit for the pittance it cost to buy. Does pretty good in all areas, outside function just needs a nudge every now and then. (read - very rarely). PROBLEM - when the outside battery gets low it has enough power to run the front panel but not to transmit. Then the base loses track of which channel it is on and resets itself - this can be… Read more

seen by the number in the channel box going away on the indoor unit.

SOLUTION - Take the base unit and outside unit and remove the batteries out of both. Change the channel switch on the outside unit to a different channel. Put new batteries in the outside unit first, then the base unit. Change the channel to the same on the base unit. Hey presto its fine.

Have a great day! P.S - If none of this made sense to you, get your kid to do it for you ! :)

Very happy with this product. Have recommended it to others – I love knowing the temperature, inside and outside and this product does it very well. I did have a bit of trouble setting it up, but I am elderly and female! Just make sure you don't use cheap batteries as mine went flat in 6 months and I had to reset the whole thing again. It isn't that the flattened batteries stopped working but the details… Read more

became quite faint, hence my battery change. So make sure you keep the instructions for future battery changes. I had no difficulty the second time round.

I love it – This is the second one I've owned, very happy, If the external sensor gives a reading more that a couple of degrees hotter than BOM temp then it's in a bad location. Show details

Awful Product – Could not set up according to instructions which are confusing and incomplete. External temperaturestopped working on first day and could not reset. I don't recommend this product. There are better products on the market Show details

False temp readings – Put both units side by side and temp difference of 2deg outdoor unit is showing higher than indoor so one is wrong, and there doesn't seem to be a way to balance them.  Show details

Super easy to set up and use – Purchased one of these from Bunnings. Had absolutely no trouble getting it all going. A few tips. 1) Install batteries in outside sensor before powering on the main unit and make sure both the outdoor sensor and main unit are on the same channel. 2) Use good quality batteries like Energizer for better results all round and eliminates any short… Read more

battery life issues

3) It takes max 3 minutes for the main unit to pick up from the outside sensor. No problems with it at all.

Will not connect to external sensor – Tried all things to get the system to connect to external sensor. Clearly this is a common problem. As here is no one to ring for trouble shooting I have to return for refund Show details

Love it!.. so far – So far... had connection issues with the outdoor sensor initially, but once on the same channel, pressed and held down the channel button, and it connected immediately!! I got it to see the humidity levels for my indoor plants, now my humidifier isn't on all the time, I can just open the doors and windows! Show details

Spot On – I really can't understand what the negative reviews are about. I've got a few of these I use in my aquaponics setup and they never fail. Straight out of the box it works, simple instructions - setup is so easy outside batteries last over 12 months and with a little twerking can monitor water temperature. I have been using them for about 3 years at $20 a set - can't fault it. Show details

Simple and Effective – I purchased this unit pretty happy with it. Only issue I have is that I can't get the comfort level display to work. II purchased it to measure temperature and humidity for my indoors plants. It worked fine the first day but stopped after it. . Show details

Simple but effective – It works very well! Took a little while to connect at first, had to bring the unit right next to the display screen, but once it connected it's been fine, hasn't dropped out once. It gives accurate temperature and humidity readings, the weather readings are sometimes inaccurate (it'll say sunny when it's raining for example) but other than that it's been brilliant, very reliable and excellent value for money so far (had it for two weeks). Show details

Doesn't connect to outside sensor – I wish I'd checked reviews before buying this as a Christmas gift! It appeared to work fine as we set it up, the screen looks great and the manual was straightforward. However, no matter what we did, the sensor would not connect to the base station. I was going to get a replacement, but it being such a common issue, there doesn't seem to be any point.

Great product for the price – Not sure what the poor ratings are all about. This is an awesome unit. Person who said the outside unit melted, well obviously it's not meant to go in the sun. Screen is EASY to read , batteries are EASY to install, temperature IS accurate ( it updates once per minute and can take a couple of minutes to adjust ) Going back for another one soon, it has 3 channels so you can monitor 3 sensors from one display.. GREAT VALUE PRODUCT !

Brilliant! – I've had one sitting on my desk for over a year now and cannot fault it! The outside sender sits on my veranda in a fairly open environment but out of the direct weather and it works brilliantly. At $18 it certainly wont break the bank so have just purchased another one this morning! Both units are working fine and alongside each other.… Read more

Have a sender on the veranda and one in the workshop under the house. I can read both from either main unit which are located in my computer room and lounge room. Brilliant!!

Great units, used *heaps* of these – Have used a *substantial number* of these Aqua Systems Wireless Weather Station from Bunnings over the years and always been delighted with them. Going to buy another tomorrow for my campervan. Have used them in many different situations and a lot in fridges in caravans and motorhomes. Accuracy has always been within 1C which for a unit of this… Read more

price is great. Another thing that makes them so good is they are easy to drive when you change the batteries. My only complaint is the batteries are only AAA and only last 6 weeks. Lithium AAA batteries last 4 months. What have done on a couple where have mounted the wireless weather station on a cupboard or bookshelf, used a 2 x D cell holder from Jaycar and put the batteries in the cupboard behind. Never had an issue with good range from the outdoor unit, never had a failure and heaps of my friends use this same model in their caravans and motorhomes to know the fridge temperature for food safety. Put the outdoor unit in a small zip lock plastic bag plastic wrap. Outdoor unit batteries last around 15 months. Couldn't believe the poor reviews for these Aqua Systems Wireless Weather Station as my extensive experience with them has always been excellent.

Inside unit works but not the outside unit – This unit was bought from Bunnings. The outside unit cover around the led display melted. Temp and humidity on the outside unit is not the same as the inside unit even when put side by side. You have to get close to the unit to read it. Spend your money on something else.

Inconsistent & very flimsy – Open the back of sensor to put the battery, the clip broke off so easily.. its hold by clips so small it would hardly be any bigger then bee's dik. Sensors, when places next to each other, difference between 0.8-1.4C. When placed at a distance of 2 meters, cant read the screen. 1. it doesn't have a back light, 2. the glare is so much that you… Read more

could only see 88:88. changing location / angle doesn't seem to help either.

Inaccurate is an understatement! – From first use the temperature and humidity on the transmitter have been wrong. It's not even off a constant amount which I could account for, the readings are all over the place, sometimes higher than the base station, sometimes lower.

Disappointed – It does not respond to instructions. Has shadow on screen which shows through the top screen. Is difficult to take the back off the remote to put batteries in. Just can't get it to work.

inaccurate reading on wireless sensor just after 4 months, Bunnings should change supplier – Bunnings should source out another supplier for this, inaccurate reading on wireless sensor just after 4 months I have put indoor and outdoor unit side by side, indoor showed 25oC (about right), whereas outdoor sensor showed 38oC(totally wrong) I have had another dewart brand one bought from BigW, after 4 years, it is still in working order.

Lasted 3 months – This was a pretty good unit for 3 months and then we started cooling off in the mornings and the outside sender stopped transmitting. The information was still reading on it's front panel but just not sending it to the indoor unit. Battery's are fine, changed them anyway with Duracell's but nothing. Not expensive I suppose at $18.97 but you… Read more

would expect to get a year or two out of it, I have no doubt Bunnings will refund without question......again.
