I am about to purchase this model and live in Darwin. Do we need to fill the salt reservoir?

Hi John,

The manufacturer notes that the Regenerating Salt is to be used in your new dishwasher so that the machine can perform its cleaning functions. The regeneration cycle uses salt brine to remove any minerals from the water softening system, the regeneration cycle will not be effective without salt and the salt light will remain lit. Although our water is soft in Australia, there are still small amounts of minerals, so using salt will ensure better washing results from your machine.

Until such time that you are able to obtain the regenerating salt please fill the salt container with water, the salt light will remain lit and will not go off until salt is added.

Regenerating Salt is available by the box through Harvey Norman stores or by the carton (12 boxes) through Arisit online at the following link https://ariston.com.au/product-category/dishwasher-accessories/

Kind Regards,

Newks

Hi John,
This dishwasher does not have a drying cycle. Glass, ceramic and pots can get dry from the leftover heat after a wash cycle but things like plastics will still have some water left on them.
Opening the door after a cycle will help to air dry the dishes.
