How can I resolve a F12 error code flashing on an Ariston Pyro Openspace oven?
Hi Rudi,
Please contact our Technical Support Department on 1300 762 219 who can identify what the F12 is and provide assistance with resolving the issue.
Regards,
Where is this Technical Support Department located you are referring to?
They are located in Melbourne, Victoria.
Brought this oven from Harvey norman outlet store in Hamilton New Zealand about 2 years ago , the rubber covering the wires to the door lights has worn though and wont belong before exposed wires will show , also how do you clean the top of oven , element does not drop enough
Hi Mark, For the wiring issue, it would be best to give Arisit NZ Technical Support a call on (09) 306 1020 to see if they can recommend a fix, or if they think a technician should come out to have a look. Cleaning the oven should be done with a damp cloth, no harsh chemicals. Regards
My oven was installed yesterday. Never actually cooked in it. After having it on to get out the smell and then turned it off it then started flashing F12. The electrician that installed it is having to email you guys to find out what that is. Meanwhile I am waiting for him to get back to me. What is error F12? Should it be appearing on a brand new oven?
You need to contact Ariston's customer service, I found they were very slow to take action so I wish you better luck. Unfortunately they do not give you an explanation of error codes in the instructions supplied.
Hi Pauline, error F12 usually means there is a communication issue, whether there is no alignment with the main setting or the onboard setting is corrupted. - Unplug, wait for 2 minutes, plug back in again and test the appliance.
- Reprogram the Main PCB.
- Replace the Main PCB.
- Replace the Display PCB.
If you still have issues, please contact 1300 762 219 and request to speak to our Technical Department. Kind regards, Ariston Brand.
I purchased this oven a few months ago and I am totally disappointed with it. I have read through the manual many times but still the oven is not cooking like my old oven used to....and that was a crappy chef.
When I bake a cake at 180 degrees using the cake setting, it takes twice the amount of time to cook it. Used to be 20 minutes...now it's 40!
Chips at 230 takes an hour and they are still soggy.
I notice there is a lot of condensation running down the inside of the door while on??
I always use the oven after preheating which again seems to take an awfully long time :(
Did I get a lemon??
It doesn't sound like ur oven is working properly. I have mever used any of the other settings really but find it really effective and have never had any problems with condensation. I wld contact ariston and they will send someone out. I had an issue with some food on the inside of the glass door and repairman came out, cleaned the glass. No probs! Hope u get it sorted.
Hi Annie That doesn't sound normal. Some things have taken a little longer to cook than my old oven, but only by 5-10 minutes and not double the time. If I leave a dish in the oven (once it's turned off) it does cause condensation after a while. I don't know if this is normal or not, but I haven't called Ariston to find out yet. As for the chips, I would cook them on a high rack on the 3rd setting (which is oven, fan and top heating element) and it is preset to 210 degrees. I use this setting the most.
Give their customer service a call and discuss these problems. At the very least someone will come out and take a look at it. Good luck
Hi Annie thank you for your review, this sounds like you oven hasn't been installed properly, condensation shouldnt be in the oven. If your oven hasn't got enough ventilation it will condensate, please call our team with a copy of your reciept in your hand on 1300 762 219, so we can assit you, thank you, Ariston Brand.
Hi Annie, Have you talked to Ariston? We're having the exact same issue - from the time we bought it in Feb, noticed things were taking way longer to cook and it was only after buying an oven thermometer that we found it consistently would not reach the temperature the oven was set to. I'm not happy with this oven either.
Kim
I bought the oven from Harvey Norman and I had also purchased product care as I live on an Island. I want the oven replaced, but Harvey Norman are not honouring their product care now. saying that we have to wait 5 years for the ariston warranty to finish....then the product care takes over.
we feel we have been royally ripped off at the moment. I have an oven that does not work correctly. We are having an electrician look at it....but as he lives on the other end of the island, he doesn't know when he will get here to check it out.
We are having no joy really with Harvey Norman....no follow up. We live on kangaroo island and hn organised an electrician to look at the oven. That was before May 27th. NOW oven is not working...shuts off with error code f24???
I tried ringing Ariston but they weren't really helpful
Honestly, looking at another post here, I think there was a dud batch of ovens....and a few of us got them.
ARISTON, I have Harvey Norman product care....I really want my oven replaced. PLEASE
Having a look at other reviews with ovens purchased around January 2016 and from Harvey Norman...it appears a dud batch of ovens was sent. I am STILL waiting for my oven to be replaced....or even better a complete refund....I am so unhappy with this oven Ariston
yes I did get a lemon. oven stopped working completely displaying error message F24. Electrician finally arrived and confirmed that the oven was dead. needed a new board, new fan and new something else.
I've had this oven for 6 months now and when I turn it on, it has a terrible burning smell coming from the top left/front vent, it is a very strong smell.
Is this normal? Is it safe? What can I do to stop this smell from occurring?
We haven't run the pyrolytic function at all yet, should we?
The oven is clean on the inside.
To whom it may concerns, thank you for your question, it sounds like fat has stuck to the elements, please double check this by looking up at the elements inside the oven. If your not sure please call our technical team on 1300762219, it is hard to say what it is as we are not looking at the oven directly. Kindest regards, Ariston.
The oven has since completely stopped working. I have contacted Harvey Norman, and they said they will contact Ariston to organize a tech to come out.
Does this model OK897ELCXAUS come with telescopic runners? If not how much are they to purchase separately?
Hi Lkenyon I purchased mine almost 1 year ago and it didn't come with telescopic rails. I remember seeing a new/similar model that does, however, i'd already ordered mine. You can check the ariston website as they have all the details for each oven. Good luck
Thanks Bec89. Which model did you buy and how do you find the oven?
HI call our team on 1300 762 219 and we can help you to purchase these, Thank you, Ariston Team
Any one know if the top end oven touch panels have an illuminate option? My oven is down low and i have to bend down in front of it to see which option to push. If they lit up i could see them so much better.
Hi Stuart thanks for your question unfortunately this oven doesn't have any ability to change the display brightness. Apologies, kind regards, Ariston.
Just used our new oven for the first time. The roast chicken and apple crumble took about double the time they used to with our old ariston oven (different model). Any suggestions?
I use the fan with the top heating element for anything that needs a little browning, like roast chicken or lasagne. It wont burn/over-brown. I cook a whole organic chicken at 210 degrees (which is preset for this mode, but you can change it) for about 1 hr 15 mins on a middle rack. I hope this helps.
Hi thank you for your question, firstly its best to let the oven get to temperature before starting cooking, this will be set when you hear a beep and all the lines will light up under the temperature. What function are you using? Generally fan forced would be best for a roast chicken and this would also be good for a crumble, if you not sure have a play with your oven or refer to your manual. Additionally feel free to call us if you get stuck and need further assitance. Kind regards, Ariston Brand.
how do the catalytic liners work and how many is there
Hi thanks for your question, pls have a look online external link Furthermore, the cataylic liners are on the side and the back on this particular oven. What happens is that these liners absorb and disintergrate the food particles that hit the oven wall, making it self cleaning or easy to clean. Thank you Arisit Team.
thanks
