Worst customer service. Faulty unit replaced with another faulty unit – Absolute rubbish. First one had loud crackling and static nose on all recordings and when viewing live. Customer service was by far the worst customer service I have experieced of any organisation. finally got a replacement and it has the same crackling, clicking and static. Ive had Arlo cameras for years and this company has dropped the ball completely.
total crap – friend gave me an Arlo Spotlight Pro 3 to try out , but what heaps of crap cameras and service , no way I would ever buy one of Arlo cameras they are totally crap
Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera with loud static noise and cracking since New – First up, I have a few of the Arlo pro 2 cameras and 2 pro 5 cameras and a base station. The pro 5 just bought a month before the floodlight camera. I purchased the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera 3 months ago for a dark spot around my house where the pro 5 cameras could not light up properly in colour mode at night. First up the positives. floodlight is very bright, it is great for a floodlight. The camera is well made and has a good mounting system. It seems to connect easily with a strong signal, but I have a small house. Night mode in black and white is good. In the day time image is good. But since new it has the worst footage I have seen of all my cameras at night in the colour mode. All snowy. Which seems weird as it is digital. So I moved the camera to a different spot which has a light supporting floodlight a few metres away, which helps produce a better colour image at night. Why the powerful floodlight does not produce a good night colour image in the first position I placed it, I am not sure. I am thinking if the camera light is reflecting off the night cold humid air in winter back into the camera lens. But as I stated previously, I have moved the camera to a different spot which works at night, But worst problem is with the audio in the clips and in live mode. it has a loud static and crackling noise on them. This has been from new. I have been in contact with Arlo support many time concerning this but I can not get this resolved. The Arlo community forum has this documented by other buyers as well. Arlo did allow me to return the first floodlight camera I purchased for another, but this camera has the same problem as well. The noise is much louder on recorded clips and so may conceal any verbal sounds if needed in a security incident. It is a shame the noise is there otherwise this would be a good floodlight camera.
Useless camera for $300 – Spent $300 on this camera but it doesn’t record unless you also pay the Arlo a monthly subscription fee. No thank you. Will be buying other brands from now on
Camera works but only with paid subscription that doesn't – Camera works with good quality and features but you have to sign up for a paid subscription. That worked for a few months but then stops. Support is not functional Show details
I would purchase a hard wired system next time – I bought this camera last week. It does what it claims and was easy to setup. No hub required but will need to invest in the additional outdoor power cord to get the maximum light output. This leads to the (only) downside of this camera, it is pricey at $379 (on special) and still needs more money spend to get the full features A few months in… Read more
and the camera is no longer detecting motion/ recording. Had someone attend my house today directly where the camera is located. No recording at all.
April 2022 - After a bunch of calls to Arlo service and a few camera software updates, the operation appears more stable with less times that the cameras are offline. The lag between apparent motion and recording remains an issue and frequently have activations with a snippet of an animal or vehicle when the recording activated too slow.
Arlo Pro 3 Flood light camera Not as good as they claim – A number of industry tech heads gave this product a great review so I bought one to try, simple to set up but not as functional as I thought it would be, the camera sensor really does not sense more than 10 meters away, and then there is a 15 to 30 second lag in any notification being received on your device, the camera will give a great 180… Read more
viewing range fairly sharp and clear even at night but if it is raining that is a different matter the lens is exposed and prone to droplets distorting / blocking out and picture. The light works well, but the in built speaker and siren are the issue hear, the siren would not wake a sleeping baby if it was right next to it, the microphone is super sensitive but the speaker (along with the siren) was the worst part of the system, I could hear everything (even myself having a phone call inside my car 10 meters away - quite sensitive I'd say) but no one could hear me on the built in speaker unless standing right under the camera and it was very quiet. With a little reworking this could be a great product but as it is it is not worth the $450+ you have to pay for it.

Update on this 18 months later. Still have not got Arlo to answer emails or honour the warranty. Faulty cameras still in my possession.
