Arnott's Plains Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhen are Arnotts going to back to original size and taste. Biscuits are often the only treat people can enjoy. ESP people in nursing homes z as bd hospitals. The only reason Australians are still buying Arnotts is because basically there is no other choice.
Sadly I I don't think they'll revert the biscuits simply because it's cheaper to make them lower quality, and they essentially are the only market so consumers choices are basically "buy Arnott's or nothing at all"
I've gone for the latter.
Did Arnotts change the size of milk coffee biscuits when they changed the pack colour recently
I believe so. The ones I usually get are ever so slightly smaller too. Same weight per packet, but they are denser and slightly smaller. Also taste more gritty and crumbly now.
SO, here I read MANY reviews that pose some serious Questions to ARNOTT'S - Let's hope that Arnott's are TOLD (shown our reviews), ARE LISTENING, ARE CONCERNED, and Finally, ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE VALID consumer concerns. I raised the Question about the disappearance of MORNING COFFEE BISCUITS and the fact that Arnott's chose to delete (from Australia at least..) these delicious biscuits BUT KEEP the Milk Coffee - which, I hear doesn't taste the same as it did anyway.
So, My Question is to ARNOTT'S and it's simple : WILL YOU REACT to what your consumers want, or do you insist on offering us these inferior products? Vince - Sutherland NSW Australia
Wrote about The tiny GIngernuts and cost cutting vs. Quality of product- I mean a tiny little biscuit that tastes "nice" is rediculuous to an Aussie- is this interference coming from the Accounts Dept or the Overseas owners- Sorry but that is just me- should I mention the size of the Wheatmeal BIckies- that seems to me to be about the size of the original Gingernuts- Crikey- the costs are shooting up without the makers cut- it seems, Bickies need to provide size and Flavour for the people- I won't buy any food made in China, these days since the Melamine -in the-milk episode- so no competition there for me (anyhow). I haven't noticed any problem with taste of the likes of Morning Coffee Bickies, etc.- but my taste is unique anyhow.... Best to all/ Merry Christmas, Rusty Weip
Why has the quality of Arnott biscuits got so very poor ?? Was the only biscuit we all LOVED & ate & were very proud to call Aussie . Is it now being manufactured in China ? Will never buy Arnott’s ever again . The company will not survive for long unless it gets back to its original delicious recipes . The biscuits are also very tiny . More important though is the flavour & texture. Please bring back the old Arnott’s . We miss them so much . Will not be buying Arnott’s anymore . The EUROPEAN BELMONT brand sold at Aldi is a lot tastier now than Arnott’s .
Why are Nice Biscuits so dry and tasteless with virtually half a dozen grains of sugar on the top? This biscuits used to be light and crumbly and full of sugar on the top Now they are dry and has no taste. Scotch Finger used to be buttery and shortbread tasting, now they also are tasteless although not as hard/dry as Nice. Arnott's used to be the best brand of biscuits but now have gone downhill
Cut backs in quality products to line shareholders pockets
they deny they have changed any recipes but I know they have done something different because it's across their range
Why are Arnotts not making Lattice Biscuits anymore this is unacceptable as these biscuits are used by so many consumers to make deserts and slices please explain and Arnotts did not give the public any warning that this was going to happen. not happy in fact i am angry this is happening...):
Their response to me that not enough people were buying Lattice. This translates to 'we weren't making enough Us$ to continue the line.' We, my family, have been buying Arnotts for generations in blind loyalty to an Australian brand. Cast off as unimportant by the new owners. I urge you to look elsewhere, Eton in Aldi are just as good, we must protest. Just as we did against Heinz when they tried to fool us using overseas (chinese) tomatoes and processing them in NZ. You will notice the Heinz brand has had to resort to changing their brand of cheese. It's not good enough. We can beat these overseas sham artists at their own game. I wonder if they will leave my answer on?? If not look for my own page, they are not going to beat me. Dawn Woods, Melbourne, Victoria.
The Scotch Fingers at Aldi are like the old Arnott's Scotch Finger! They soak up the milk in 5 seconds and go soft and crumbly... yummo! But I still can't find replacement Teddy Bears. Anyone have any luck?
Why did Arnotts change their teddy bear biscuit recipe??? They taste different, crumble differently and don't soak up liquid when dunking. So disappointed. Could only have one! Will never buy again. It actually made me feel yukky afterwards!
Feel like Arnotts are looking out for my weight.....my favourite Teddy Bear biscuits taste disgusting. Instead of eating 2 I only had a couple of bites and threw the rest out. All their biscuits now taste like cheap imitations. Very disappointed in Arnotts
