Excellent product. Hard to get support in 2021 (but its the pandemic I guess) – Have had all kinds of European dishwashers (Zug/Miele/Bauknecht etc) in different places along the years. This Asko one is a top performer: easy to use, does excellent job of washing dishes, is ergonomic and everything just glides. One issue in 13 years ( it turned out a split very old drainage hose was the reason the water pump would not stop.… Read more
That a good reminder to get your hoses replaced proactively, every 5 years minimum apparently!). So yes I would happily buy another Asko. ***(review updated in the 15th year of service)*** The only problem is the plastic bits holding together the runners for the trays are getting brittle and breaking. So that will be its 'death' if I cant get replacements. Pity as the unit stil functions perfectyl. Akso is an ecologically run family business, and the best thing you can do for the environment is buy applinaces you wont have throw away in 3 years!
...but...The pandemic means we used our home appliances 2-4 times as much, so they are all needing repairs and replacements much sooner than expected, and dishwashers are the same. Therefore double the demand for service technicians, parts shortages etc. so lets be pateint and courteous with any staff . BUT The asko.com.au website is so poorly designed and confusing ... It asks for service level numbers and serial numbers that won't match older models .... so couldnt Lodge a call online. I eventually found an email address. But website is full of dead end pages, links and poorly translated text.
Conclusion. Great product. Would buy again. I also have seen people very happy with Bosch (good value for money) and Miele (debateable - might be over priced?), Best I have owned is the Zug Adora S.
Great Washing – We have had our AskoD3121 for 5 years. It has broken twice and the rinse-aid unit never worked after the second repair. Now the control board has gone. How can a part cost 25% of the machine ? And about 50% of a reasonable new machine ? It is either opportunistic gauging and/or stupidity. The logic boards for appliances are relatively basic. If it… Read more
is is a likely failure point ( as per this forum ) then implement an exchange program: remove the faulty one and install a repaired one. It is likely the same issue in most cases.
What's that ? Help customers ? Give real support ? Encourage faith in your brand ? Not profiteer on poor engineering ?
Great. Off to the landfill, buy another dishwasher. Thank you Asko.
Does not live up to the name – This dishwasher was in the house when we bought it. After living with it for 18 months we wonder why they cost so much. It is solidly built but washing is ordinary. Our previous washer was a Blanco (who don't specialise in dishwashers) and a 30 minute cycle in it was as good as a 100 minute cycle in the Asko. There is no point using the eco… Read more
functions for cleaning and drying as they just don't clean or dry. The top shelf is also surprisingly hard to pack.
5.5yrs and died – I have several Asko units and went through 1 and about to go through yet another disappointing unit. They just don't seem to make them like before! My dish washer 6 months outside extended warranty just died - had a burnt smell. Pump water draining is working but just won't engage the wash. Then started to "steam" up inside and smell like… Read more
burnt rubber. For A$1,800 - this is unacceptable. Machine well looked after like my two other front loader washing machine. The first one motor died after 8 years (well - perhaps within reasonable period (?) but not at the price paid). Got the next size up brand new #64444, and the cycle won't spin dry damp the clothes - have to spin dry twice! Light load (or less than 1/2 load) will spin dry. Disappointed with my D3132 Dishwasher! Will I buy another Asko? NO! Why? Their products seem to have a short life span per $ unit vs other brands better $/unit life span!
Extended warranty ~~~big joke!! – I have had my ASKO for 26 months now. The washing is absolutely fantastic. Why wouldn't it be with a 2.5hr cycle? Very energy hungry machine. The cycle has steadily gotten longer and longer so I called the extended warranty people in Melbourne. The first time the service guy did not come.. apparently he was ill.... no call to let me know and I… Read more
had taken time off work. Second time I had to call several times to find out whether he was coming in am or pm. When he finally came he reset the codes and told me its most likely the circuit board which would be about $500.00, but being under warranty it will be covered. I have been calling the extended warranty people in Melbourne and they either put me on hold, lie they will call back, or hang up!! It's been a month!! What is so
complicated about providing service I just don't know but I will be reporting them to Fair Trade as this is the worst
service I have had .... even for W.A. standards!! I have never had any dirty dishes come out of a wash cycle. The machine is fantastic. For a $1800 machine... it should definitely have lasted longer. The main grief I have is with the extended warranty program.

Great until it breaks down! – Got the D3132 and has been going fine until last week when the drain pump won't shut off. Being under warranty, I called for service. They told me to be available for a 1 hour service call to my house. So I wait for 2 hours and still no-one shows up. I call them and they tell me the service guy went sick, but they didn't bother to let me know, and… Read more
they expect me to wait around all day and they might show up last thing. It's well known that Asko service is terrible. It's too bad that such a good product is spoiled by such lousy back-up. Think twice ebfore purchasing Asko if you live in Melbourne! Excellent product The Moorabbin Melbourne service centre
Best dishwasher I've had – I've had this Asko for 3 years, use it daily, have never had a single issue with it and I absolutely love it. I recommend it to all my friends and I'm so glad I spent the extra money for it. Dishes, pots and plastics always come out sparkling clean, drawers are sturdy and strong, easy to use programs and timer, can fit tall glasses up top, very… Read more
easy to stack and it looks great! Even though it dries better than all dishwashers I've used before, some plastics still come out a bit wet.
Love it! – This dishwasher is absolutely fantastic. Cleans dishes extremely well, better than I can do by hand. I am totally amazed at how much I can fit in with each wash. I use the dishwasher every day, sometimes even twice a day. I have used power and tablets and find the tablets clean better. No issues with disolving or residue. I do maintain the… Read more
dishwasher and give it scale clean at least every 3 months.
It is whisper quiet - which is one of it's best features.
I have had this dishwasher for over 2 years I am so pleased that I spent the extra money getting the ASKO - it has been worth every cent. Quiet and everything is super clean Expensive
What a Dissapointment!! – After having purchased in my previous house an ASKO dishwasher, and having no problems, I thought it wise to again purchase another ASKO dishwasher. Well, I am bitterly disappointed with this machine. Just 3 months out of its 2 year warranty our main power board blew. We call out the technician and $257 later it was fixed. Now 1 week after… Read more
that getting fixed the unit has again stopped working. We now have to call out the technician again. For a company that has a SLOGAN "BUILT TO LAST LONGER" this will be the last time I purchase an ASKO The look, previous ASKO experience Warranty, Reliability, After sales service not very helpful
Totally agree, my last 2 Asko's are nothing like the original I owned. Asko are making a nice… Read more (+2 replies)
Entire circuit board required replacing 7mths after warranty expired – It's a great appliance, although expensive ($2000) Wasn't expecting to pay $443 to replace circuit board due to detergent dispenser door failure continuously being sent open signal from circuit board. Tech advised this would have eventually burnt out. I wonder if it's a common problem. Would purchase again but only with extended warranty… Read more
negotiated for free. XL height Expensive repair 7mths out of warranty. Faulty circuit board repair cost almost 25% of purchase price

4th failure in 3 years and counting – Worked well and we were quite happy with it till 2 months out of original warranty. Then has failed 4 times in 8 months with a blown circuit board. Fortunately we have extended warranty but still I'd expect an $1800 dishwasher to last longer. Friends who purchased other brand dishwashers about the same time are still not having any issues. Now I… Read more
wish I'd done likewise. Seems to be water efficient and quiet. Reliability post the first two years is bad. Asco not very helpful.
Bad – It pains me to say this, as I have always held Asko in very high regard when it comes to dishwashers, however mine is a dud. I have had it almost a year and it has never cleaned well. Now I love dishwashers and refuse to live without one and as a consequence of moving a lot in my life I have lived with about 20 different dishwashers. I… Read more
appreciate they are all better at cleaning some things than others. I appreciate one needs to keep the filter cleaned, use good quality detergents and rinse aid stack the dishes facing downwards etc. I am not an idiot.
I had Asko service out within the first week of owing it because it was cleaning badly and leaving hard to remove water stains on everything that went through it. Asko replaced the rinse aid dispenser and this improved things marginally. But still it randomly would not clean things. In particular it would not remove tea and coffee marks from white porcelain cups. This is a task that every other dishwasher I have lived with would be fine with, including even a dreaded Simpson brand one I tolerated for a year in the 90s.
Ironically the 14 year old Bosch dishwasher that this Asko replaced cleaned dishes much better. In fact it is still cleaning dishes much better as I gave it to a friend and I regularly see the results.
Asko's latest service visit found nothing wrong with my dishwasher and said its poor performance must be caused by me using the wrong cycle, the wrong detergent, too much detergent, the wrong rinse aid, the wrong temperature, the wrong drying setting, etc etc. In other words every excuse in the book. And they did nothing.
Since the last service visit I photographed a few items of dishes after they had been washed in my Asko, and then washed them in my Partners Miele dishwasher and photographed them again. The photographs made it look like the Asko cleaned items hadn't been washed at all, whereas the Miele washed items were sparkling clean. I sent this documentation via email to Asko four days ago and asked them to either replace my machine with one that can clean dishes or to refund me and take it away. I have not had a response. It is quiet, it is solidly built, all its baskets and racks work well. In doesn't clean dishes well.
Terrible – I didnt expect a product, that sales rep speak highly about the product ,break just after the warranty.Dissappointing the logo says built to last, maybe built to last the warranty.I had a dishlex 300 and it was going strong after 9 years ,not a problem and cost $600,had left behind because selling house. With the reviews and talking to people having… Read more
the same problem, you would think they would fix this common fault. They must make more money out of services. The quick wash and the litres of water that it used cost over $2000 and requires $600 to fix ,electronic display burnt out ,common problem

Excellent dishwasher – Excellent dishwasher had own fisher @ paykel drawer diswasher before . Easy to use and modern looking top of the line. Wash dishes clean and easy to use controls. Reliable , userfriendly
Excellent – Been using this one for two years now and it hasn't missed a beat. Gets full load every day and does a great job getting everything spick 'n' span. I love this dishwasher! Cleans great. Low level noise. Big inside. None so far
Good – Some stains were harder to clean, requiring re-wash but very few that we had to do so. Just had the dish washer break down since purchasing it in 2007. A little disappointing considering I have so far only used it less than 50 times in 3 years and have taken good care of it. Hopefully the service charge is not going to be costly. Apart from that, I have been fairly happy with it. quiet. generally clean and sparkle washing.
Excellent – This is my very first dishwasher and I am very happy with it so far. I did a lot of research before purchasing and I chose this dishwasher for many reasons. It uses very little water and is very quiet. It has great features - you can select to wash on economy which uses less power but it still cleans the dishes great. The turbo drying is… Read more
superb, even when you select the economy dry the dishes are dry and there are just a few droplets on the plastics.
It has a child lock on the door so it can't be opened and the power button is on the top of the door which can't be turned on unless the door is open! This is excellent if you have little kids.
I recommend this dishwasher to everyone! Everything - Quiet, user friendly, child friendly, stainless steel self-cleaning filter, stainless steel spray arms.
Excellent – We have had this dishwasher for 6 months. It's easy to use and doesn't have an odour when you open the door. We have not had anything break in, everything comes out spotless. It is able to hold a fair amount for a large family. Looks good, very water wise, quite. Nothing so far.
Excellent – This is my second Asko in 22 years. My last one being 21 years old, incontinent and not repaireable. Brilliant functions if used well. There is nothing to disappoint the buyer. Not as cheep as some others but this brand is one of the few that is designed to last and not the usual throw away brands. Ours runs once and day and at times up to 3 if I… Read more
have been baking and it has never not washed. Excellent product. quiet, less water than most, great choice of functions, flexible rack system, cutlery holder can go anywhere along the bottom. What not to like. Stainless steel front is not SSteel. It does not hold a magnet( I use a sign of clean and dirty to help the children)
