We purchased an ASKO dishwasher expecting premium performance given the cost, but unfortunately we have been very disappointed. The dishwasher consistently fails to clean properly, leaving residue on dishes and the walls of the cabinet. ASKO suggested a service visit, noting that if nothing mechanically was found, we would be responsible for the… Read more
cost. After persistent follow-up, we received a service visit at no cost, which confirmed that there was no mechanical fault.
It is our view that ASKO has focused more on achieving a high efficiency rating than on delivering a dishwasher that actually cleans. We strongly suggest that ASKO revisit the design to create an appliance that effectively washes dishes.
Love this dishwasher. Replaced our Miele for ASKO. It has self opening door after cycle is finished, has interior light, appears to have a lot more room. Smaller tray for utensils, however this allows for taller glasses each side of tray. Washes and dries well. Thought we had an issue and emailed customer service, reply email assisted us with a button we accidentally pushed. Will definitely look at replacing all our other Miele products with ASKO Show details · 1
Dishwasher failed 29 times in 2 months tech came out 3 times ,washer would stop after one hour beeping with different faults ,full refund would not recommend to anyone !
I’ve had it for a month and have had a technician out twice. There is a check water level/clean filters fault continuously coming up. Customer service emailed me with a YouTube video of how to rectify. Check the drain hose for obstructions, clean the filter and do a self clean. It works for a couple of cycles then the fault comes up again. It is… Read more
a premium inbuilt dishwasher. I would have to rip out newly renovated kitchen cupboards to take it out. I purchased this machine for its ease of use and reliability. I’m beginning to regret that decision now. Update June 2025 After threatening action Asko are going to give me a full refund. They are coming to take it away this week.
Stay away from this machine. We purchased this machine in December 2023, in the 1.5 years of ownership we have had to have a technician out three times and have needed to call. the service centre 6x times. - The door locking mechanism failed within the first month of ownership, meaning you couldn't close the door to run a cycle, a tech came out… Read more
and repaired it - The door locking mechanism failed again, a soft reset restored it. - The powerboard for the machine stopped working, called the service centre and had to complete a power cycle - this continues to happen and it's apparently "expected" that you need to disconnect the machine from the mains every now and again to get it working again. I owned a Miele machine for 10 years before asko and never once needed to do a hard power cycle. I continue to need to do this every few months. - Tech came out again because the door locking mechanism failed. They repaired it. - Locking mechanism failed again - I called up asko asking for a refund on the machine as it's clearly a faulty unit - they refused. - Again today the locking mechanism has failed, called asko - completed a soft reset and it started working again.
Having to do some kind of reset on a $2,500 machine every few months is ridiculous. The machine only has a warranty for 24 months - I know that I won't get much life out of this machine post warranty.
Excellent dishwasher with great cycle options – One year update: still extremely happy with this dishwasher. It’s not missed a beat - and often runs twice daily with no dramas. Love everything about it. No regrets! So far this dishwasher is excellent. It’s been a month and every cycle has been squeaky clean. Took a bit to set up - we didn’t realise what built in meant but all good once we… Read more
installed properly. The wifi feature at first seemed silly. But now I schedule it for when electricity is cheaper and make it easier to choose options for the cycle. It’s also super quiet! Bought through JBHIFI and delivered from Asko - was a quick and pretty painless purchase experience. 10/10 would buy again. I hope I don’t live to regret that comment!!

I don't understand why other dishwashers exist – Had over a dozen various dishwashers in my lifetime. The last good one was a Bosch SMS88 till we sold that house and moved to a place where the prev. owner put in a fisher paykel double dishdrawer just prior to auction. What a woeful POS that was. After 2months I'd had enough and sold it. Went shopping and used the money to buy an Asko DBI565 in… Read more
white to match cabinetry.
I am blown away by how good it is at doing its one job... washing dishes. It's that good at it, that I don't know why I bought the Bosch way back when... and also just can't fathom why for the same money, you get dishwashers that don't wash dishes, let alone anywhere near as good as this does.
In my experience, everything comes out polished. It's quiet. I run the hygiene program mostly, in an hour a full load is spotless. My wife and I would normally rinse everything before putting in the dishwasher of the day but now... we just fork or spoon off the food waste prior and then chuck em straight in with NO rinsing. Incredible. My bbq steel trays come out almost new. Never happened before in any dishwasher.
It tells me when I'm low on rinse aid, I mean that's a 1st world thing but why doesn't every dishwasher tell you that? Even more, we've done about 10 or so loads since ownership and have rinse aid on setting 4 out of 5. Means it's using the second highest amount of rinse aid per wash. I thought maybe the sensor isn't working because I'd only filled rinse aid when installed. So I topped it. Barely needed 10ml. And the dishes come out immaculate. Seriously. I'm as baffled as anyone how it's this good. The fisher needed rinse aid every 3rd loads the Bosch every 4th. Here after 10 I can go another 20 loads before refilling rinse aid.
Oh and the door pops open when it's finished on some programs which i think is so the dishes dry and cool faster...nice touch.
I then decided to rewash everything we had in the kitchen. I fit everything without skipping slots. 2 loads. Probably over 25 place settings in total. Hahaha.
I seriously do not understand how or why many other products exist, sell for the same or near enough to the same price and yet do less than half as good a job. Even my SMS88 was one that seriously should be commended for being half as good as this... All other manufacturers should benchmark themselves against this DBI565 model from Asko.
I love it. If Asko makes it, i'm convinced I'm never buying any other brand.
