Hi my oven keeps beeping. It has not been turned on for a day. I have turned it off at power and it still keeps beeping erratically?

My oven is now turning itself on and off even though the dial is set in off mode. While the oven is now approx 8 years old I had to have the motherboard replaced at 5 years old as it kept putting itself into pyrolytic mode. Does this mean that the motherboard needs replacing again? Also i had a total power failure to the house last night during the same time the oven was beeping and turning on and off , could the oven have caused the power failure ?? I have turned off the switch at the power board as I am not confident that the oven is safe- what is your opinion on this ?

I have owned an Asko OP8620 for 6 years now. I have used the pyrolytic function only a handful of times, and normally during the night. Tonight I set it early and before the end of the 2 hours it began to beep and the internal oven light flashed on and off continually. We left it for some time not knowing whether this was normal or not, but ended up turning the oven off at the wall as it just isn't stopping. Heaps of smoke pouring out of the oven. I didn't consider that it was actually THAT dirty. What has happened to my oven? And is it likely to go again once it has cooled down???
