Very Disappointing – I had gone to purchase another high end brand and was convinced to purchase Asko as "it is the same quality but without the high end price tag". I have other family members who had purchased Asko previously and seemed happy, so decided to go ahead with the purchase. In the six years since purchasing it seems slow to dry clothes, doesn't dry… Read more

particularly well and needs to be restarted most of the time. Unreliable, breaks down often as does the washing machine of same brand - Asko W6884 ECO. Don't buy this brand, as it is expensive and unreliable. All Asko products that I have purchased have had issues with being faulty within a short timeframe, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher.

Disappointed with Asko – Paid quite a lot for this brand. Both the drier and both washing machines have had continuous problems and have not lasted. Would not recommend, may have been good in the past but unreliable now. Drier has finally failed and not worth repairing ($800+) so cutting our losses and getting rid of washing machine as well. Show details

DONT BUY ASKO. Terrible product – We have had this dryer since 2014. The dryer started playing up just after the 2 year warranty expired. We were advised that we will need to pay to get it repaired. We don’t use the dryer much so we didn’t bother getting it looked at. We didn’t use it ever since - it has been unplugged and sitting in the laundry. I thought of giving it another go… Read more

today after giving it a 2 years rest. I let it go for over 4 hours on a very light to medium sized load. Checked the clothes after 4 hours and they were still wet. There was a lot of moisture in the filter. The reservoir was completely dry. It’s the same issue we had before we stopped bothering with the dryer. I am just putting this review up so I can expose the quality of ASKO products so other consumers donot waste their money like I did. Buyer Beware. Do not buy their dryers.

Do Not Buy!!! – Purchased Asko drier in July 2015. Less than three years later, it has broken down eight times. The door latch doesn’t close properly and the lint collection / filter that attaches to the front door has been replaced four times. It is a terrible design as the rubber seal on the lint collector perishes very quickly, comes away from the frame which… Read more

then doesn’t close together properly and thus you can’t close the unit / safely use. It’s a complete failure and a total waste of money as the design is fundamentally flawed. Plus Asko will charge you every time you need the lint filter replaced, even though the fault has been ongoing b since the machine was under warranty. AVOID

ASKO, NO DIFFERENT TO ANY OTHER....SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! – So, we bought an ASKO front loading washing machine and the T753C dryer as a combination for our new home. We decided that the brand, reputation and reviews would be the deciding factors. in the start Both appliances preformed very well for 2.5-3 years. After that they started to break down and did not preform the same. We went back to ASKO… Read more

service and they did try to fix both the appliances....washing machine was taken away and modified and has never been the same.( we went out and bought a BOSCH washing machine to get the washing done). The dryer still does not work despite 2 call outs from ASKO service team. We are now looking at buying a new dryer to get our clothes dried as winter sets in. We paid top dollar for these appliances expecting to get a premium product that would last for some time, unfortunately that is not the case. My advise would be to save your money and purchase a less expensive brand that way when it fails you can simply throw it away and purchase a new one.

Dangerous ! could start a fire – I have an ASKO washer and dishwasher also that I have no problem with. We have purchased these recently as we are about to retire and wanted white goods to last many many years. My problem is with our T753C dryer. It gets extremely hot and shuts itself off. Earlier this year the thermostat was repaired because it burnt out. Very expensive repair!… Read more

My problem is once it overheats, shuts off and the front panel turns itself off. the dryer is not really off!!!! The heating unit is still on inside and gets extremely hot!!

It shut itself off on Friday evening.

I put into the dryer some linen tea towels, cleaning cloths and face washers that came in damp from the clothes line, it then shut itself off only after 5 minutes. The front panel remained switched off for a couple of hours. I decided to deal with it in the morning thinking, great another expensive repair!. When I came downstairs 9 hours later the whole unit was piping hot!!! front panel was still turned off BUT I HADN'T SWITCHED IT OFF AT THE WALL!!! The few items inside where incredibly hot. I was so fortunate that they did not ignite!!! I have servicemen coming tomorrow to look at it. I WANT THEM TO TAKE IT AWAY !!!!!

Overpriced, unreliable and expensive to repair – This unit retailed for almost $2,000. Being Swedish, we expected a high standard of quality and reliability, given their motto on their brochures and instructions is "Built to last longer". And yet Asko only offer a 24 month warranty. Unfortunately less than three years into ownership it cost us $376 to replace the control unit, then less than… Read more

12 months later the printed circuit board failed, incurring a further $583 repair. And now, less than a year later, the unit has failed again.

If the cost of the repair is anything like the previous costs, I could have purchased a brand new unit with the money I have spent on repairs.

The Asko motto "Built to last longer" has not proven to be true in our case. I'm very disappointed because I know of competitors' units giving over a decade of hassle-free and reliable operation, with no repairs required and costing less than half the initial purchase price. I would advise against purchasing an Asko.

Very disappointed – It worked OK although needing a service call about once a year. We had problems getting the door to open. This time the repairman said it would cost more to fix it than replace it. I would have thought a dryer this price should have lasted more than 5 years. The washing machine we bought at the same time has not been much better. Would not buy Asko again.  Show details

Asko Dryer - not even lasted 3 Years vs its predecessor (Fisher Paykel) 13 years – While connected to the power but NOT switched on the heater element comes on and the dryer becomes warm to hot internally, and hot to the touch on its rear metal panel. Before that the dryer would not switch on, and then it would! And before that it would intermittently lose settings in the middle, or after the conclusion of a cycle. Purchased… Read more

30th Jan 2013. This unit replaced a Fisher and Paykel which ran fault-free for thirteen years. Not happy. So far, no response from Asko.

Stopped working after 3.5 years – Unit stopped working, my partner thought it's just the on/off switch. Technician checked it out for about 10 mins & concluded that he's not sure if the switch is the problem but he will order a control box which would cost $317 (inc labour), IF it's the only issue. That's $99 for the service call and another $317 (maybe) for a supposedly high end… Read more

brand, We thought a $1300machine would last at least 10yrs with minimal use (only when necessary, no children household). Called customer service asking if there's something they could do about it, only to be told "- sorry warranty expired a year ago", so we cancelled the repair. Will be able to buy a cheaper brand for their repair cost. Very disappointing.

Didn't last, not worth it – Our expensive ASKO 753C dryer has failed completely, just days after the two year warranty ran out. We have not been happy with the ASKO service either. When the service people can't even work out what the problem is, then what hope is there for the customer? When it comes to ASKO products, it seems a big price is no guarantee of quality. until it failed. It wasn't installed correctly according to the service guy. Now its leaking and only runs for seconds before it stops.

Puzzled by incorrect installation as it is just a plug in and use item. Unless you had a plumber install a drain pipe but why would you?
