15 Years and still going strong – This Asko W6342 has been a wonderful machine. Always performed and cleaned very well even dry clean only items. Replaced brushes twice. 2 set only now after 15 years of use with a family of 4. Show details

Excellent washing machine – It cleans clothes well, clothes smell fresh and clean. Its quite loud as you'd expect from a front loader, but isnt an issue if you close the laundry door. Be cautioned - you need to use a hot cycle occasionally, e.g. 40 degrees and up, to keep the heating element from packing up. We had this issue, after about 10 years of ownership. Otherwise its been faultless.  Show details

Disgusted With After Sales Service - Door Exploded – Eighteen months ago my door exploded, yes shards of glass not just crumbled. After many heated emails with their service department, they got their technician out to replace the door. Yesterday had an independent guy out as the machine was grinding when draining, and then the last load, it flooded. He took the cover off and found more glass… Read more

that had ripped the pipes and god knows what else. He said its not worth fixing, How disappointing at what I believed was a quality product that would last me, and the worst part is that I used to sell them with pride what a joke

Will never buy Asko again! – Really disappointed with our Asko. It's extremely noisy, clunks mid cycle, doesn't always complete the spin cycle. I don't agree with Asko that they are built to last. We paid $1600 and expect to get more than 6 years from it. It finally failed us on good Friday (great timing!). I could smell burning rubber, and there were sparks and ash from the… Read more

burning rubber. I have a newborn and toddler so this is a massive inconvenience for us. To top it all off I am continually placed on hold through the service centre and still have no answers as to what has happened and if it can be salvaged. Very unhappy customer!

Can't wait to buy a different brand – Our machine didn't sound right from the start, it squealed on spin & made a clunk noise on wash, it also got louder when filter needed to be cleaned. After 3yrs the wash cycle stopped, service man came out, it needed a new motor. There was a screw that wasn't tightened & water leaked on our motor. I should of been more firm & made them pay for… Read more

it, $400 later it was fixed, can't wait for it to break down again, I will be buying a less noisy machine , I'll be doing my research for sure & it if it doesn't sound right ill be complaining

Water leaked on motor due to loose screw

Wont ever go back to top loader – Ok so you have to bend down to put your clothes in, be organised enough to put in what you want before you press go, or waste 5 seconds of your life waiting for the door to open as it is security sealed... Oh Yes great if you have kids, they cant work out how to open it, or to climb into it when going! Besides the less impact on the environment… Read more

through better water usage than most top loaders, our Asko cleans clothes, brighter whites and drier spin dry than any washer we have ever owned.

Great job Asko on a true quality product, built to last. Our Asko is now over 8 years old and going like new. More than i could say for the old LG which lasted 24 months and 2 repairs.

Yes you get what you pay for, stop shopping on price and start buying quality, its so much more rewarding over time !!! It cleans clothes, it spins out more water than any top loader I have ever had (Fisher and Paykel, LG and Simpson) If touching your toes is an issue, then bending to put clothes in this might be a problem

Our last Asko – This is our second Asko front loader but our last. It's been so frustrating to use that after 3 years I'm under instructions from my wife to get rid of it. The major issue is that the door won't open on a regular basis. There is a hidden red tag to pull but this needs a screwdriver and has to wait for me to be available. There is no obvious… Read more

reason. There is never anything blocking the filter. This has been going on from nearly day one. Washing results are good. Frustration with the door opening system.

Terrible – It does a good job of washing and it's environmentally friendly - but it's so damn INFURIATING if you want to stop it and open the door to do anything. A top loader might be less efficient, but quicker, and better for your sanity ! It uses very little detergent and the fast spin gets most of the water out of the clothes. It's absolutely… Read more

infuriating - the front door locks, so you can't add anything after you hit START. To re-open the door you hit OPEN. It has to drain all the water out, and then unlock the door, which takes minutes. And a lot of the time it ignores the STOP button, so if you want to re-adjust an out of balance load you can't. Even powering it off and on again doesn't work - it remembers what it was doing and just goes on doing it, ignoring the STOP button again.

Excellent – A front loader that takes just over an hour, the same time practically as a top loader, fits the same amount of clothes as my 8kg used to. You can open it anytime during a wash, price well you pay for what you get. But could not talk highly enough of this machine. Exceptional wash results, water extraction is better than i have seen on other machines. and reliably built to last. No bad points

Good – Much prefer this front loader to my top loader for water saving, cleanliness and care of clothes. Asko came highly recommended from two close friends who have had theirs for years. Water saving, I had a very large top loader before and wash for five adults. Since buying this front loader my water usage has dropped by a third. The clothes are… Read more

coming out cleaner and the machine is very gentle with them. Also use much less dtergent. Very sensitive loading. Sometimes in what I see as a normal load, the machine doesn't cope and the clothes aren't spun adequately. I have to do an additional spin cycle.

Excellent – I am so happy with this machine. It is my first front loader and has made washing clothes a breeze. I had a Maytag toploader that was hard on my clothes and always had lint all over the washing, well I don't have that problem anymore. I highly recommend this front loader, even though it is more expensive than other makes it is worth every… Read more

penny. It is very quiet when washing, I use less detergent than what I was using with my top loader and the clothes come out cleaner and no lint. It has a time remaining display function which is handy. To my surprise it can wash more clothes in one load than my 8 kg top loader. Uses minimal water, only 57 litres. I have the machine on the floor at the moment so I need to bend down to put clothes in and out of the machine however have decided to go and purchase the pedestal drawer that is an optional extra.
