Sterling build quality in a stylish frame – Use case: about to study post-grad law 3 years FT with heavy online delivery (COVID) First thing's first, the stigma for AMD processors must end now. The R5-3500U, though now one generation old, still gives the new i5-1135G7 a run for its money, and with a 16GB RAM configuration, this thing will take just about anything I throw at it day-today. I… Read more

am absolutely going to be sticking with AMD for the forseeable future. Back to Asus, though, this is an impressive piece of kit with a very sturdy build quality. I am a bit of a keyboard and trackpad snob, and these both feel very comfortable under the fingers with the keyboard having a satisfying firmness to it and the trackpad having a very pleasing mid-soft click. The screen is sharp and the bezels are thin, the performance is great, the hinges are strong - it's hard to fault this computer. Even having purchased this model in late 2020, it's still got all of the things in the right places without compromising on quality and keeps up with more up-to-date market offerings. Very satisfied with this piece of kit and will very likely stay with Asus for a long time.

Okay laptop overall – Edit to say: the keyboard began to stop working after about 6 months. I returned for warranty with asus certified repairer and received it repaired with new scratches all over the outside of the laptop. It began to have issues again with the track pad a few weeks later, and I returned and received a credit from Harvey Norman. Replaced a 2yo… Read more

faulty Microsoft Surface Book 2 with the ASUS Zenbook Flip, and opted with this model as I could still fold the screen over and use to write and sign with a pen. So far it is quite good.

Design It looks really sleek when closed, and the screen looks okay. The keys feel nice to use, and the track pad is responsive. I initially got a little annoyed with the touchpad as it seemed to require hard clicks to do anything but fixed up the sensitivity in settings. The numerical pad button on the top of the touch pad is a bit of a pain to open and close, I have to tap multiple times and pretty hard - but I'm sure that's more me not knowing the technique rather than the computer.

I read a review before I purchased wherein the purchaser was complaining about the keys being difficult to see due to the colour of the keyboard. I initially thought they didn't know where the keyboard light button was, but I've turned it on and the keys are actually a little hard to see- the colour of the key reflects and kind of blends with the lighting illuminating the letters. With that said, I don't really look at the keys unless I am in an awkward position (not a normal typing position), so not a biggie to me.

Performance I can't really comment on speed - it is doing as it should given it is a new notebook but overall pretty quick and responsive. I do note that the screen graphics don't seem as nice as my old surface, but I'm using it as the brain to my docking set up most of the time, and just portably sometimes for travel - so not a big deal. I upgraded my RAM this time as my old surface struggled a little with big data sets, and this seems to be doing it a bit easier!

Impressive for the price but the trackpad is buggy – This machine is a pleasure to use. It starts very quickly from power on and loads windows in no time. The touch screen is smooth and responsive and the system can be flipped backwards to feel like a tablet, or positioned in tent mode for sitting on the kitchen bench. Only one issue so far; the track-pad is buggy and the pointer moves… Read more

erratically around the screen. you can fix this by disabling the Asus trackpad drivers and using the standard windows trackpad drivers in device manager or just use a mouse instead.

As i travel a fair bit, i wanted a laptop that could handle the bumps and jolts. The US military grade chassis and MIL shock testing won me over from the other brands that had hard drives and seemed more flimsy. Don't get me wrong, the laptop is still very light and quite thin and portable; its just a robust aluminum chassis design that works really well.

I took one star off for the buggy trackpad drivers from Asus and because the battery life is not quite as long as an intel I7 can do. (this system has the AMD Ryzen processor)

Great powerful and solid machine – My first Asus laptop after being an HP fan for 15+ years and I have to say this is a great and powerful little 14" machine. Selling point for me was the number pad which is integrated in the touchpad, very clever feature. Very fast and good battery life. The keyboard feels solid. Overall a great laptop with a solid and robust finish. Show details

Excellent laptop, originally purcahsed for student use..but not so sure now, it may be wasted on a student – The UX462DA-AI016T is a very well built premium looking and feeling laptop. It was originally purchased for my student son, however, I was thinking it may become mine and buy him another one. It was so easy to set up and it was up and running in minutes. The screen clarity is very good and the audio is on par with its looks. The facial… Read more

Nice looking laptop – Replacing an old Dell Latitude. Appealing point for me was the claim of Military Grade quality. Nice looking laptop, feels solid. Charging seems fast but does not have huge battery life though. Great that it comes with a Stylus too.  Show details

ASUS Zenbook, you've done it again. Sleek styling & function for an awesome price – The Zenbook UX462DA 14inch provides slick styling, quality speakers & graphics, a sharp display, & solid student level performance. The touch screen works beautifully, leaves barely a finger mark & has hardly any glare. I'm sure we'll have to clean it eventually but so far so good. perfect for student classes and commuting. And the camera is sensibly positioned at the top of the incredibly thin bezel edge. Love this 2in1 as much or more than the previous one we bought. Thanks ASUS, you've won us over ... again!

Beautiful Machine – I bought this yesterday and have finished setting it up which took less than 30 minutes. The display is amazing and the stylus is very helpful when taking notes. only issue I had was that the speaker placement isn't ideal if viewing the content in normal laptop mode because the audio has to bounce off the surface. Other than that, it is a great buy for the price.

Sleek and fast – Have only had it for a few days. It looks great and runs much faster than my desktop pc. 2in1 feature and touchscreen has been handy. 14" screen isn't too small either. Having trouble getting the mic to work during video calls but could be a Windows 10 issue as ASUS troubleshooting tips has not fixed the problem. So far so good, not regretting paying a bit more for the extra memory and features. Show details

Pretty happy so far – Done a butt load of reasearch before purchasing and ended up buying the asus UX462DH-A1016A as it offered some pretty techy specs for the price. 16GB ram, 512 GB hard drive and a Ryzen 5-3500U processor and a Radeon graphics card (from what I researched, but I'm definitely not a computer expert). Love the crystal clear touch screen, so easy to use, the illuminated chiclet keyboard, the numeric trackpad and plenty of interfaces. Show details

Good value – Good value. Not the best laptop I ever had, but you got what you paid for. The screen is bright more than enough and the body is light enough. I love it can convert the touchpad to number pad which is very useful. It also comes with a pen which is very handy as well. Another feature that I like is its heat-vent is upward to the screen. So it wouldn't be blocked when you use in bed. Show details
