Fantastic product but incredibly bad service. We have 4 of these units, one started leaking out the bottom. Tried messaging numerous times, they have removed any mention of phone contact numbers, eventually got a number from Instagram. On ringing they found all my website messages which they they said they had but hadn’t responded to. Basically told I had to get a repairer to look at machine and they were the only ones who could unscrew the back to see what the problem was. They wouldn’t give me the name of any repairers. They also then mentioned that they don’t have any stock of spare parts because these units don’t break (which this one has). The only parts they have are external parts. They then suggested if they are properly maintained they don’t break down. Seriously WTH! No idea
So from what I can figure there is no point in taking it to a repairer if it is out of warranty because they wouldn’t be able to fix it anyway!
So in summary, great product, crap service if it goes wrong so suggest don’t buy it direct. When we purchased originally it was obviously a great company who had pride in their product and who were extremely helpful. Now it has been scooped up by a large company and they pretty much couldn’t care less.
****DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY*** – ***DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY** I didnt think it was possible but Ausclimate hit the jerk trifecta. 1. The most horrific, rude, disrespectful customer service. 2. The most insanely inept [content removed]. 3. Selling underperforming air purifiers while claiming they sell the best on the market. 30 Dec: placed order for 3x WINIX ZERO+ 360 5-Stage Smart Air Purifier with PET Filter ($1350). Email and say I'll pay anything for express courier as I need them urgently for my health. [name removed] says it will arrive in 3 days.
7 Jan: day its meant to arrive. Instead get msg from Aus post saying its only just being packaged, hasn't even been sent yet! This company has no contact number so I had to email. It takes two days for them to reply to me, I can only assume its because the entire operation is a sheltered workshop. Luckily it gives me time to check its ranking on CHOICE and to my astonishment it absolute crap compared to even crappy brands likes Phillips and Breville. Despite their website stating that they offer "the most effective products for air purification." I ask for refund based on this.
9 Jan: Two days later I finally get a reply. No apology, no acknowledgement of how they have made incredibly misleading and false statements on their website. Just, " return it via courier once it arrives for a refund."
10 Jan: It arrives, courier returns it. I email ausclimate to let them know and to organise refund upon receiving. No reply.
22 Jan: 12 days later, still no reply, still no refund. I email AGAIN. No reply.
29 Jan: It has been over three weeks since I returned the items, still no bother of reply. No refund. Have to go to Fair Trading now just to get my $1300.
So, these guys "specialise" in only products that cool, heat, dehumidify or purify air. They only deal in air. Thats it, nothing else. So, you'd expect they'd be knowledgeable and selling the best products in this field? Especially when they claim that on their website for air purifiers. NOPE. Here is the email I sent them pointing out how atrociously UNDERPERFORMING their WINIX air purifier was based on research I had done and how they were deliberately misleading customers:
"I have just checked the CHOICE website as a paid subscriber and looked at the complete independent testing that was performed on the brand and model of air purifier I have purchased and am concerned at the results. I had read on your website that "Ausclimate's range offers the most effective and economical solution for moisture control and clean air in Australian and New Zealand homes". And that Winix is "the most complete air purifier on the market" and that the model that I purchased was "our most powerful smart air purifier". But of the testing done on this model it only purified 40% of VOCs and 68% of dust and 67% of smoke. Which is confusing and misleading when you state that this product "purifies 99.99% of indoor air quality". In fact, brands that don't even design and manufacture products exclusively for air purification scored higher, including Phillips, Breville and Electrolux.
More confusing is that your website states that the item "ensures that you breathe clean air whilst using the air purifier." However, with it only being able to remove 40% of VOC's including harmful formaldehyde, that is just not the case.
Lastly, you state that the model that I purchased was "our most powerful smart air purifier" yet, in the testing by CHOICE the Winix Zero+ Pro 5 stage scored higher than the more expensive ($200 more) model that I purchased.
I feel misled by your advertising of this product and the quality of your products in general. Your website states that you offer the most effective products for air purification but as shown this is just not the case. I would like to organise a return and refund of the three purifiers I purchase.

See everyone ^^^ this reply is the perfect example of how arrogant this company is. Their sole aim coming here was to protect their brand, passively aggressively put a customer in their place for simply telling the truth to protect other customers and lastly to outright lie about what actually happened to make it appear like the customer is just whining and incompetent. And do you see how they not once apologised in this reply? and not once acknowleged what *actualy* happened and the role they played in it? When you expose this level of truth on a company in a public forum the only way they can handle it is to LIE, deflect blame, insinuate the customer is incompetent and then embarassingly use the reply as a sad PR opportunity to dust everyone reading it with painfully false "sweet" sentiments ("wishing you a great day!). Like we've all got an IQ under 60.
Let's get back to the facts:
1. - I ordered these items after Christmas.There was nothing on the ausclimate website about delays to orders being shipped. In fact, when I emailed ausclimate asking if the order could be expedited for an urgent health situation (and that I would pay ANYTHING for this to happen) I was not informed their was *any* delays to orders. In fact, I was told it would be there in 4 days. Ausclimate lied to make a sale. Completely disregarding the fact that I had explained that it was urgently required for a very sick person. That's the sad truth folks.
2. I didn't have a "change of mind" on my purchases. Once I had discovered that ausclimate fraudently mislead customers about the effectiveness of their Winix air purifiers AND were completely incompetent in doing their ONLY job - I explained this to them. These issues breach NSW Fair Trading laws and are a basis for demanding a complete refund.
3. They like patting themselves on the back for giving a customer a full refund after all of this. Do you know why I finally received the full refund? Not by returning all the items as requested. Not by following them up with two emails. Not by waiting for three weeks. I received a very prompt email from ausclimate straight after posting these reviews everywhere. Straight away. And then my refund was magically processed. Then I was blocked from their FB page for writing the truth. Their ONLY priority and motivation is making $$$ and protecting their image. Its definitely not being ethical, its not selling products with integrity and most certainly not treating customers with any ounce of respect.
But hey, thanks to ausclimates reply, we've all had a chance to see firsthand their jerk trifecta: 1. Horrific, rude, arrogant customer service 2. Insanely inept 3. Selling woefully unperforming air purifiers (look at what CHOICE ranks them as) . But now thanks to this reply we can add MORE:
4. Are so arrogant they refuse to apologise on a public forum, instead they scapegoat the customer publicly by insinuating the customer are just whining and incompetent.
5. Ausclimate LIE to make sales and LIE on a public forum
6. Don't care about their customers one iota, they only care about $$$$$ and their image.
So now just watch as they come back with either a back handed, staged apology, or they create a customer account and reply defending ausclimate, or all of a sudden their product line on this website is flooded with fake positive reviews, or they reply just to dust us all with more sickly sweet, PR serving comments. The old bag of tricks. Or their IQ will tick over to 61 and they'll realise that replying just results in this customer serving up more truths, so they'll protect themselves by not replying at all.
In all cases, I will be posting this review over and over and over and over so it always stays on top in the reviews. I told you lads, I don't work and I have all the time in the world to share my experience. This is my full time job now. Oh and posting reviews, that's just the tip of the iceberg of what I am currently doing to get the truth out. Wishing you a great day!
