Do not buy this heater or anything from this company – Purchased this heater and honestly wish I never did. It was the middle of winter and the only heater we owned. The lights flashed constantly snd it sad so bring it lit up the whole room. great. I did as I was told and I had to wait an entire week for a replacement. During that time we had no heater for our newborn baby. I had to follow up for a tracking number for the new one as I was not given any information. Finally a new one arrives and it does the exact same thing. I emailed was called the next day and told a bunch of steps to do to try and fix the fault. Doesn’t work. He says he’ll call me back and never does. I called the next day and asked for a refund to be told she’d ’look into it. After they finally agreed to give me my money back they tell me to send a photo of the cord cut again. I did and they had the audacity to respond and say this photo was the same as the last one. Now not only did I have no heater still but was also being accused of trying to lie to steal a heater. Only once I responded with both pictures showing the difference and an entire day later was I refunded. I am still in shock they after them wasting 3 weeks of my time and Us spending 3 weeks with no heater for our newborn baby was I then accused of being a liar. I am still so shocked and appalled by this disgusting customer service and their dodgy products. As if I’d even want their unsafe products in my house anywhere where my family. Safe to say I will never purchase from them again. Save yourself the headache and disgusting customer service. I will add rent during this time I was offered no partial refund or any compensation. Barely got an apology. So much for supporting Australian businesses.
Good little heater overall – This heater does the job of heating our small apartment living room and it’s both stylish and quiet, plus it doesn’t take up hardly any floorspace which is important in apartment living! screen, and the touchscreen on the device doesn’t allow you to temp down, you have to cycle all the way through to the top temperature options to get back to the lower ones.
The main drawback in my opinion is that the three modes (auto, low, high) don’t allow you to select a temperature and have it just turn off/stop when it reaches that - either it just keeps heating up without end (either more slowly (low) or faster (high)), or it blows out cool air to keep the temp at the one you’ve selected on auto mode.
Overall tho quite happy with it and think it’s great value for money. Also very happy with the AusClimate brand overall (we also have a dehumidifier and love it).
Some considerations – There is one big problem with electronic switches and controls. In a good heating system, the power on should have a mechanical power switch, and also a mechanical high or low heating switch. power is cut. This may be dangerous with elderly people when the power is interrupted during the night and, due to the design, the heater will not resume previous setting when power is restored. You have to climb out of the warm bed to reset it - too bad if you are asleep at the time and wake with a freezing cold room. Keep this in mind if used for a disabled person. New is not necessarily better!
