ALDI Auto XS Car Cover

Review of ALDI hail cover – After buying this product, it was only when I got it home and unwrapped it that I could learn the critical information that the cover should only be applied to a DRY car. This is a major restriction on its usability, because you then shouldn’t cover the car after it has started to rain. Coupled with the fact that it has a black exterior covering which would build up too much heat in Australian conditions, I do not think this product is fit for use in Australia. It should definitely have warning signs visible to the consumer, but in my opinion should be withdrawn from sale

XS auto car cover – Our convertible car has a leakage and when it rains water gets in the car. While we don’t take it to repair we bought the car cover “auto XS” that reads “water repellent” “weather resistant” it turned out that the cover didn’t help at all, all the rain water got in the car.I contacted them telling about the problem, and they said that “water repellent means that when the water drops it slides down it doesn’t mean water proof” . I won’t buy anything from their brand again.
Purchased in at ALDI for $16.
Durable Quality Car Cover - great price – I have a lot of experience in owning relatively inexpensive car covers. Some were very good, but most were rubbish. I just purchased the third style that Aldi has sold in the last 6 years. This is best so far and the toughness of the material used will prove me correct. It uses a polypropylene fibrous layed and dimple bonded breathable fabric.
The shape and size and other features is the same as last years, eg. buckle clip tie downs, vents, driver's side access zipper, mirror pockets.
Great value for less than $40.

QLDZDR 1y ago. Update. The cover lasted more than one year before it started degrading from UV. I was able to use some gaff tape to patch the smaller tears. It almost lasted 2 years with minor patch up. Beware of fibreglass material woven fabrics (like this cover) because they degrade and create environmentally dangerous fibres in your yard. Bad for pets and native animals.
