Got this dash cam installed in my new car (not that there was info on anything about the dash cam as presumed it was the cars factory dash cam but turns out that's not the case) after having a different premium brand dash cam in my previous car. Haven't had it long but this one isn't too bad in my opinion (front camera is good but the back hasn't got as good quality picture) but it's far from great. Picture & recording quality seems clear on the front camera (you can adjust camera lighting, recording quality etc in the app settings if needed) and as stated above, the rear camera, well it's not the worst but it's no match for the front camera which is disappointing considering the cost. Has a good wide angle view. Has safety features such as lane departure etc if needed for an older model car that doesn't have this feature already. From my experience so far, this isn't the worst dash cam out there but certainly not the best, especially for the price you pay.
The app is an entirely different kettle of fish. Considering the dash cam isn't too bad & is pricey, the app is really poor in comparison. Once it decides to work, it's good and easy to use but the start up is just so laggy which is a real let down. The app needs a good bit of work for sure to enable it to run smoothly.

Absolute SCAM, stay away. I was extremely disappointed to find out that the dealer installed M4 Roadview (front and back dash cam) on my brand new car which was sold to me as the ultimate "premium dash camera" solution was in fact a scam in terms of the quality of the footage. It's by far the worst dash cam I've ever owned and I've had about 6 dash cams across multiple cars before this one.
The day time quality is blurry and license plates are illegible unless you are at a 100% standstill where it is really blurry but you can just make it out. If you move, forget about it. At night, it doesn't matter if you're stationary or moving, the image quality is so bad it's reached the point where the dash cam is basically useless. The bottom line is that this dash cam is not fit for purpose at all and should never have been sold by the dealer.
I had to go out of my way to write a review for this as none exist on the internet and I don't want anyone else to get scammed like I did. It's time to end it, buy a reputable dash cam with crystal clear footage like the Viofo A229 camera (I paid $315 2 years ago and installed it myself for free) which is leaps and bounds better than the M4 Roadview dash camera ($1888 installed by the dealer).
