Just watch the walls
The gate itself is easy to use - easy to set up and does the job - BUT watch your walls! I went to move a gate that had been in the same location for almost 12 months and the wall paint came off in a big patch. Perhaps a small piece of flannel between the post/mount and the wall (cut to size obviously) would fix this.
easy to open - dark colour matched the colour scheme of house.
the end of the gate that pushes against the wall (to keep in position) stuck to the wall paint (on two separate gates)
We are very satisfied with this gate. It's safe, solid and good-looking. It has a quality feel to it. Good colour options - the silver is very unobtrusive if you have muted colours in your home.
This is a sturdy and well-made gate, which is easy to install (with easy-to-install extensions). Doesn't mark the walls. It has stood up well to shaking attempts by babies and preschoolers alike. No child in our house has worked out the lock (up to 4-year-olds) but it's not difficult to operate for adults. It's slim (depth-wise) so it fits in very shallow spaces - eg where you only have a small margin of wall and bannister at the bottom of stairs.
The bars in the extensions (and only in the extensions) can be 'shuffled' side to side a little by babies. It doesn't affect safety or function - just mildly irritating if you're that way inclined.
This gate is solid, so easy to install and comes in 3 colours which is great. It is a good height and the fact it can open in both directions is very handy if you are "trapped" by a gate-holding toddler or have your hands full. So far we have had no problems with the mechanism and it does it's job well.
This gate is a dream to install and is easy for an adult to use once you know what to do.
I wish you could extend it 10cm wider than it's maximum. Otherwise no faults.
A good safety gate, we have one at the top of the stairs and another at the bottom of the stairs. So far we have found it to be a good safe product. Despite our little ones best efforts of shaking, trying to climb, and throwing all his weight against the gate, it still keeps him out! However it is easy enough for adults to open and close - even with just one hand, which is very convenient.
relatively easy to install, doesn't mark the walls - no need for permanent holes etc to install the gate. Easy to open and close.
none really at the moment
Good value for money. I don't think toddlers would be capable of getting the gate open. Rated well on a previous Choice assessment of child safety gates. Very satisfied.
Is difficult for children to get open (looked at many and this is one of the best). Looks good. Easy to install. Opens both directions. Isn't a swing back gate, so can keep it open once baby has gone to bed.
Nothing so far, although it would be great if it came in an extra tall option, like some of the other brands
