Baccarat The Toastie Pro Sandwich Press

Cook’s sandwiches inconsistently, burns one side and leaves the other completely blonde. Is far too hot, so hot it burns baking paper. I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe because it’s brand new, it will settle down. What was I thinking? Looks good on the bench and the non stick coating is good, although mine was delivered with a scratch but that doesn’t affect the cooking, only the aesthetics, but it is not fit for purpose basically. I can only cook one sandwich at a time due to having to rotate it for a more even cook. It’s meant to be a 4 sandwich press. It doesn’t matter where on the hot plate you place it, the bottom or side burns and the middle doesn’t cook on both top and bottom. Being such a good brand I really expected a lot more. Perhaps this is why they are on sale half price? I do not recommend. As an additional note: The aftercare customer service from Ryan at Baccarat has been above and beyond. I received a full refund in a timely, polite and considerate manner.
