A basic flat plate sandwich press, however it does have a drain and catch tray. A rare thing for a sandwich press. It has a great non-stick and is very easy to clean. It heats up very quickly. I have been using it for cooking bone out steaks and some schnitzels. Puts a nice sear on and as it cooks from both sides does it quite rapidly. 10 minutes and under. Drip drain and tray does its job. Great multiuse product.
