Great sandwich maker
Cafe Style 4-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker SPM4000SSThe Sunbeam sandwich press exceeded my expectations. The heating plates ensure the food is cooked evenly and the grill marks provide a nice touch.
And let's talk about toasties – they're an absolute flavor bomb on these grill plates. Add a smidge more butter and a drizzle of olive oil, and you're looking at a seriously satisfying crunch.
The heating plates on this thing have a bit of depth, which is awesome because I can toss in a splash of liquid to help steam and then sear up my veggies with those killer grill marks.
But wait, there's more! This sandwich press isn't just a one-trick pony. It's a game-changer for reheating cold slices of pizza to perfection and giving those leftover hot chips a second life.
The best
Cafe Style 2-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker GRM2000SSLove this so much. Cooks the nicest toasted sandwiches and eggs too. The best one I've used.

A man's best friend
Cafe Style 2-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker GRM2000SSStarted the carnivore diet last month and thought this would be great addition for early morning breakfasts instead of firing up the BBQ everyday. Perfect for eggs, bacon and sausages. Heats up almost instantly and the clean up after is literally a case of giving it a couple of wipes with some kitchen towel. The speed of use and ease of cleaning has even led to me cooking a few steaks on the it in the evening (which I would normally consider blasphemous). But the additional heat plate on top actually gives an even sear on both sides and essenti
... Read moreally cooks the steak twice as fast. Now my missus is in on the act. She likes to put half the fridge in her toasted sandwiches so previous sandwich makers never worked for her and she would end up using the oven. But the AnyHeight control is a game changer for her as she gets perfect even toasting without compromising the "structure" of the sandwich. Only regret is that I didn't get the 4 or 6 slice to allow me cook more at once, although when you live in a Sydney apartment, space is at a premium.Purchased in at Amazon for $69.

More than a sandwich press
Cafe Style 4-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker SPM4000SSTried the 4-slice sandwich press and maker in it’s obvious way - for a grilled cheese toastie and then as a pan, making some eggs with baked beans. Quite happy with it, the lid works well and it was really easy to clean afterwards.
Happy that I went for 4 pieces, making it easier to cook up a few things at once (think brekkie board with eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms). Pretty much makes the frying pan redundant!
Haven’t used it for long yet, but seems quite sturdy as well as practical to store (an upright position is helpful).

Best small appliance
Cafe Style 2-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker GRM2000SSI was given this product to test and it’s been amazing. It works well to not only cook food but also to reheat food!
The heating plates have a little depth so I can add a bit of liquid to help steam then sear my veges with the grill marks.
Toasties also taste fantastic with the grill plates…. Add a little extra butter and olive oil and you get a nice crispy texture.
We also love using the sandwich press to reheat cold pizzas and hot chips.
Overall, the Sunbeam sandwich press exceeded my expectations. The heat plates ensure the food is cooked evenly and the grill marks provide a nice touch.

Compact, perfect for small kitchens and easy to use!
Cafe Style 2-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker GRM2000SSI’m very happy with my new sandwich maker. It heats up very fast, and the height control lever is such a great feature. No more squished wraps for breakfast! So good.

Is there anything it can't do?
Cafe Style 6-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker GRM7000SSI've been using the Subeam sandwich press and grill for almost a month now and have got to say it's impressed me.
Steak and chicken breast cook evenly using the hinged lid and the retractable drip tray catches any stray juices that might try to find their way to the kitchen bench
I've particularly enjoyed using it for cooking bacon and eggs in the morning. It heats up to temperature quickly and once I'm finished with my breakfast the non-stick surface takes no time at all to clean with a damp cloth before getting on with my day.

Good quality and heavy duty sandwich press
Cafe Style 4-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker SPM4000SSI had a small Sunbeam sandwich press and decided to upgrade to this bigger sandwich press. I was so impressed with its quality and the result.
When I unboxed the product, I can feel it’s a good quality product as soon as I touched it. The plastic bit is thicker with smooth finishes than what I had. The non-stick surface is very smooth and does not feel like the cheap one you can find at Kmart. It feels like a heavy-duty sandwich press that you find in a cafe.
Out of curiosity, I used both machines to make the same sandwich and wanted to see i

With this feature my sandwich is less squash compared with the one in the old machine. As you can see the cheese fell out and melted on the plate. The toasted area is more even compare with the one cooked by the old machine. Overall I like it, it’s simple to use and does the job well.Find out how Sunbeam Cafe Style Sandwich Press & Maker compares to other Sandwich Presses

The Upper Lid Hold Actually Works!
Cafe Style 4-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker SPM4000SSThe top lid hold on my previous machine was hopeless and would fall on to my food which is annoying when I was grilling my open cheese sandwiches. This lid actually holds! It’s great and I love it. I never thought of using it as a frypan for steaks etc, but I have and it’s so much easier than doing it on the stove. Recommend

Space Saving, Portable and Generous Plate Size
Cafe Style 6-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker GRM7000SSWe were amazed at how large it was but given what it can do and ability to stand, it can be put away seamlessly. Overall, the size and extra feature made it fun to use. The top plate folds downward and inwards to keep mess inside the plates whilst the bottom plate has a front opening to remove extra juices. The level adjustment is superb which mean that your steak will not be squished unnecessarily. The stand feature is great but it tilts and given its size, it looks unstable. The plates look so generous when you open them up. The bottom is fla
... Read moret and the top is ribbed so you get the best of a flat sear and grill marks. Huge bonus !. The detached drip tray does not feel as high end as the rest of the grill. The top plate made beautiful sear marks on cooked steak and kept juices inside the cafe sandwich maker. Clean up was a breeze and the opening for juices to overflow is a great addition. This grill was made for making pancakes. They came out beautifully. Recommend highly to anyone. Also, tried fried egg that developed a crusty bottom, however, it stuck to the plate. Baked bean sandwich and cheese toast turned out superb. The generous plate size allows multiple eggs and toast to be made at the same time that is very convenient on time and space. Heavy but the handle made it easy to handle. Overall a great addition for large families.Purchased in .

Lightweight with Smart Additions
Cafe Style 4-Slice Sandwich Press & Maker SPM4000SSWe are super happy with how convenient and fast mealtime and clean up can be with the product. The product was very easy to use and handle as the level adjustment doubles to lock the plates securely and the standing feature allowed it to be moved around easily. A nice compact size for our bench top. The lid does feel like it will tip backwards sometimes when opened. I like that the bottom plate is deep enough to contains pills. The stand feature is great but it tilts slightly so worry whether it’s steady enough to remain standing. I think this
... Read morecafé grill with the added feature above makes it just so versatile and indispensable in the kitchen really. We cooked steak and bean Sprouts on it. Simple and easy. There wasn’t an even browning on the bottom because of excess water but the top could have browned more if the meat were of similar height. Otherwise it was just a matter of getting used to it to get the best out of it. The bean sprout were a breeze to cook. Toast and toasted peanuts came out great too. Heats up quick and depending on what you are cooking its done in a flash really. Clean up was done in a matter of minutes. I like that it was also lightweight and that it had a great handle that was easy to grip. Overall a great versatile product.- Even Heat Distribution: No
