Too crowded – Since Covid, we have more people from other gyms, treadmills restricted and equipment removed. Because of the sanitising requirement it takes longer to wait for a machine and they are all old, old, old. Also, parking is limited On the plus side, the staff are friendly. Kris

New timetable reduced classes – Balance city yoga has reduced its hot yoga weekly timetable by almost 25% members with contracts are offered no compensation or option to cancel without paying $100 exit fee. Absolutely amazing! – Absolutely amazing. Best children swimming lesson classes I have ever seen. My son suffers anxiety and by the end of his first lesson Alison had earnt his trust and had him putting his face in the water and going under water with her. By lesson 4 he was doing backstroke. We have had such wonderful results in such a short period of time. We find the staff very friendly and helpful in the pool area. Highly recommend.

Not great at all – The other reviews don't sound like it's the same gym at all. Friendly staff? They don't greet members, even if the member have been going there for years, there's maybe 2 out of 15 that will say hello and only if the member says hello first. ladies and are now using cheap plastic bins where the lid falls off all the time, add on the dirty nappies that sit in the normal bins for hours and the smell is not nice at all! Tiles and mirrors are falling off and are cracked, the tiles in the showers are not clean, you can see that on how the water sits on them. The staff do not encourage people to take showers before jumping into the pool, so sweaty, smelly people go ahead, there are Band-Aids floating in the pool, sometimes they sit on the edge of the pool for days, no one cares! It's like the staff are council workers, see nothing, do noting, just don't care! Close to work

The only issue I personally had with this gym was the fact that the gym and pool were on the same level and I found the entire gym area to be quite hot compared to other gyms. crowded and there is always a machine (treadmill, bike, elipticals etc) available. The gym and it's changerooms are spacious and always clean, as is the pool. There is also plenty of free parking available. Affordable. Modern. Spacious. Great staff. Clean. Unfortunately the availability of the indoor 25m heated pool is limited in the weekday afternoons because of swim club.

Excellent – This is by far the best gym and pool I have ever seen, even better than Fittness First. Would highly recomend to anyone in the Newcastle area Everything. Loads of Large LCD tv's, all the latest Nautilus equipment and lots of room to move around
