Bambury Cotton Waffle Blanket
Verified1 review
I bought this Banbury cotton waffle blanket from Domayne. I washed it before use, following the instructions. The blanket was then completely covered in fluff. It covered me, the floor and anything else it touched. In this condition it is unusable. Very poor quality compared to others I have bought.
Follow-up · I washed the blanket at warm temperature on regular wash. I dried it on a clothes line. As part of removing the fluffy lint, I put it in the dryer set to no heat. This removed lots of lint and kept doing so after 4 x10 min cycles.I did 10 mins at a time as the filter was full after each go. I could probably have kept doing this for many more times but I changed to manual brushing with a lint brush.
Hi I have laboriously removed the huge amount of fluff already so none is visible now. I don’t know if it will happen again when washed for a 2nd time. It is now on a bed but I seriously thought about throwing it out.It also developed a few pulls when washed. I did see another person who reviewed it with similar comments to mine likening it to cat fur! I wonder if all the people with glowing reviews have washed the blanket. I have other waffle blankets from Morgan and Finch that are great. The photos I took show the amount of fluff and it is still appearing around the place. Not much point taking it to Domayne now, I should have done so when it came out of the machine.

Good Morning Jen, I am very sorry to see this has occurred, it is very unusual, and we have not had any reported cases of this happening with our waffle blankets before. Are you able to return it to Domayne for assessment? Kind Regards - Bambury Customer Service
