AI reviews summary
Ecosa Bamboo Bedding is highly regarded for its exceptionally soft, silky texture and effective temperature regulation, making it a popular choice for hot sleepers and those in humid climates. While the majority of users praise the luxurious feel and generous sizing, some recurring concerns regarding long-term durability and specific design changes have been noted. Overall, the sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many customers transitioning exclusively to this brand.
Pros
- Superior Texture and Comfort: Frequently described as "buttery soft," "silky smooth," and "like sleeping on a cloud," providing a luxury feel that many users prefer over high-thread-count cotton or linen.
- Effective Temperature Regulation: Highly effective at keeping sleepers cool during hot, humid nights while remaining comfortable and "cosy" during winter months.
- Generous and Practical Fit: Features deep pockets that accommodate thick mattresses and toppers, complemented by "long side" labels and thick elastic that make bed-making significantly easier.
- Pet-Friendly Fabric: Multiple reports indicate that pet hair does not stick to the smooth bamboo material, allowing fur to be easily removed compared to standard cotton sheets.
Cons
- Durability and Fragility Issues: Significant reports of the fabric pilling, snagging easily (particularly from pet claws), or developing tears along the seams within a few months of use.
- Aesthetic and Design Changes: Recurring dissatisfaction with the removal of the "turn-down" hem on top sheets and pillowcases, which some users feel makes the bedding look "unfinished" or "cheap."
- Maintenance Requirements: The fabric is prone to heavy wrinkling after washing, may develop "grease spots" from natural body oils that are difficult to remove, and can feel "stiff like cardboard" when wet.
- Inconsistent Customer Service: While many praise the support team, a segment of users reported long shipping delays, unhelpful interactions regarding warranty claims for tears, and issues receiving promised review incentives.
Verdict
Ecosa Bamboo Bedding is an excellent investment for those prioritising tactile softness and cooling properties, particularly for sleepers prone to overheating. However, potential buyers should be mindful of the fabric's delicate nature and follow care instructions strictly to mitigate pilling and tearing.
I love these sheets and will re-purchase forever. Super silky soft, warm in winter and cool during warmer months. Sheets are easy to wash, though i definitely recommend leaving them to dry longer than you think :) Show details · 1
Beautiful sheets. My complaint is...The queen size fitted sheet is so small .I nearly break my hand trying to get it on. The king fitted is way too big, so i just tuck in. For the price the sizing should be better. I have bought 3 sets over the years and they are all the same.
Sometimes you can be doubtful of what is claimed about a product. However on this occasion the sheets far exceeded what we were expecting, so much so I have bought 2 more sheets. The comfort, the silkiness and quality is second to none and well worth the price. We have never slept better. Show details · 1

This bedding is so soft and feels extremely luxurious. Our quilt slips slightly in the quilt cover because it’s so silky, but if we had purchased the Ecosa quilt we could use the ties inside the cover to tie each corner on so we wouldn’t have that slipping. I didn’t realise this until after buying a quilt that there are ties on the inside of the cover! Genius! But it doesn’t really matter I just shake the quilt out in the morning. Show details · 1
The most amazing cosy linen I’ve ever owned. I had to go to spotlight today and saw some sheets and I thought NO my ecosa sheets are just too wonderful! Show details · 1
We purchased the bamboo bedding and we’re so happy with it! I was a little hesitant cause I’m a cold sleeper and was worried that it wouldn’t keep me warm enough, however I’ve found that it really adjusts to my temperature and keeps me warm overnight. It feels so luxurious and soft. Highly recommend! Show details · 1

Very great quality sheets — soft, breathable, and very comfortable to sleep on. My skin feels really good using them, especially in all kinds of weather. The bamboo fabric stays cool and comfortable throughout the night. Highly recommended! Show details · 1
I cannot recommend these sheets enough. I have now bought two sets from Ecosa and i will eventually have there sets on every bed in my house. They’re expensive but worth every dollar. Show details · 1
My son recommended the Ecosa bamboo sheets. I took his advice and bought...not one but two sets! Green and Pink. Beautiful quality, decent elasticised bottom sheet...it doesn't move! Soft and cool to sleep on. They wash well and retain their silky softness. Show details · 1
I love this bedding. It’s so silky and soft, and washes really well. I love that there are labels for the long side of the sheets, and that they’re deep enough to fit over a mattress topper on top of the pure mattress without sliding off in the night. A few cons though. My cats love this bedding too, and the doona cover unfortunately has so much… Read more · 1
pilling from where the cats kneed on the bed. It’s only been in use a very short time, and it’s like their claws get stuck every time. And the pillow cases are a perfect size for a standard Australian pillow from all other shops, but the Ecosa pillow is a lot shorter in length then standard pillows, so this gorgeous pillow case looks half empty when the pillows are sitting up on a made bed.
These are the softest sheets i have ever felt, honestly. My only complaint is i biught them with the kids mattress, and they are huge for it, the fitted sheet can be manipulated to fit well, but the flat sheet overhangs to the ground on both sides. Show details · 1

I've bought a few bedding sets from a few different brands recently, but this colour combo from Ecosa is my favourite! Show details · 1
Update: After posting this review, Ecosa Support reached out via the ProductReview site. However, this time they agreed to send a replacement fitted sheet. Original Review: Super disappointed with our Ecosa Bamboo Bedding and the response from support. Barely 6 months since purchase, the sheets started to tear along the stitching of the fitted… Read more
sheet. "No problem" we thought, "you get some bad batches. Surely they'll replace under warranty". After contacting their support, jumping through hoops of sending pictures of the tearing, along with the batch number, we receive the response that warranty on sheets is only 45 days anyway and nothing can be done. So why waste our time asking for evidence then, after we've already provided the order number during first contact?
Save your money and buy elsewhere, unless you think <6 months for $200 sheets is acceptable.
Update: After many follow up emails with Ecosa's customer service staff and registering a dispute for the transaction I was eventually issued a refund. It took several weeks but we got there in the end. I purchased the lavender sheet set and took a lot of care to wash and air dry them according to the instructions provided on the Ecosa website.… Read more
Unfortunately these must have been a faulty batch as all of the colour immediately rinsed out, the texture now feels like plastic, they have an artificial chemical smell and they wrinkled up so badly they are unrecognisable from the product I purchased. Sadly ready for the bin.

The sheets are super soft and excellent quality but I can't get passed the melted plastic/burning electronics smell. I must have got a bad batch, but neither my partner or I can stand the smell. We thought we had an electrical fault in our bedroom the first time I put them on. I've since washed them multiple times, soaked them and left them out in… Read more
the sun and breeze and can't even put them on the spare bed as within an hour the entire guest room and adjoining hallway is permeated with the burnt plastic smell. I waited too long to be eligible for a return according to ecosa so I'm now very guiltily putting them on marketplace for $50 to get them out of my house. My partner asked to throw them in the bin. I got the rose colour and they are very lightly pink.

Lovely soft bedding but the snaps on the quilt cover are awful. Every morning I have to resnap them because they come undone overnight. Even if I place the quilt with the snaps on the side instead of bottom. I have a second Ecosa quilt cover with buttons and have no issues. Show details

Very cooling and comfortable particularly for someone going through perimenopause! Show details · 1
Follow-up · The fabric has a silk-like feel to it and it wicks away sweat. And yes it does stay cooler than regular sheets throughout the night.
The bamboo bedding from Ecosa is amazing. I love the feel of it on my skin and especially when first getting into bed. It feels quite cool but warm at the same time. I am thinking of getting another set. I do wish it came in more colours though. Show details · 1
Follow-up · I still love my bamboo bedding months after purchasing it. They wash well but you can't dry them on high heat and they take ages to dry on cool in the dryer so I hang them on the line. They have maintained their shape perfectly and do dry wrinkle free. The only place mine wrinkle is where I tuck them in behind the base board of my bed. They still feel luxurious and cool. I am saving up to buy another set as they are fairly expensive.

Beautiful sheets - but not as good quality as before – I adore ecosa bamboo sheets, and I have bought multiple sets. Always in the past I've given 5* reviews, well deserved. If I could have given more than 5* for the silk quilts I would have done so! So, for me to give only 4* here is a step down. I'm sorry, but my last purchase has been a bit of a disappointment. I ordered a new set of sheets in… Read more · 3
'Barely Pink'. My three points of sadness are:- 1. these sheets, exquisitely packaged as always, are not the same delicate pale pink as previous purchases. The colour is more salmon. On reflection I suspect I was sent Peach in error ... but I had already washed the new set and taken it to my bedroom when I checked ecosa's online colours, hence it was too late to return them. 2. after only a short usage (first time on my bed and washed; worse after second use and wash) the fitted sheet is quite badly pilled. This never happened with bamboo sheets I bought from ecosa in the past. I have sensitive skin and I don't like pilled sheets underneath me. 3. ecosa no longer gives the top, flat sheet a proper wide top edge. I noticed this on my previous purchase (blue sheet set), and thought it might be a manufacturing mistake on that one set. But it's the same with this set, hence a deliberate change in pattern. To save on fabric? For whatever reason, it is a shame; quality and proper wide hems at the head end are important to me, and I imagine also to others. In conclusion .... I am going to make another purchase of ecosa bamboo sheets - trying again for 'Barely Pink' - but if these disappoint again it may signal an end to my valued relationship with them! I'd be sorry, but ... there it is.
A quality and very comfortable sheet – I ordered a double fitted sheet and have been using it for one week now very nice indeed took a few nights to get used to it, it is a little slippery and wrinkly as other comments have indicated but very comfortable, you can really feel that it breathes I don't know that it feels much cooler than a quality cotton sheet but it is certainly nice and… Read more · 1
they are generous with the sizing so it fits my pocketed coil mattress easily unlike the cooling overlay that I ordered earlier please check my other review for that. It dries very quickly after washing and really does appear to be a quality sheet not always the easiest to handle as it is very slippery on the clothesline even a bit of wind will have it sliding up and down I don't know of any pegs that can hold it down properly. I do feel my sleep quality has improved somewhat, I had ordered two pillow slips in the same material separately and so far they are very nice also with the same breathability and quality. All in all I very much recommend these sheets they appear to be worth the money. Thank you.

Updated review - Steer clear - known to shrink – My initial review below was a one star rating, however after a positive experience with Ecosa customer support, who took the time to look into the shrinkage issue and provide a refund, I have revised my star rating to 4 star based on the service provided. purchase the Ecosa bamboo sheets would be to size up and allow for shrinkage.
After purchasing 4 x sets of Ecosa bamboo sheets, I loved the feel and was very impressed with the quality. Within a few weeks I noticed the white sheet set had shrunk so much that the flat sheet could no longer be tucked in. After numerous emails, Ecosa kindly replaced the flat sheet. Fast forward 8 months, and all 4 sheet sets have shrunk so much that they now do not fit on the bed at all. I have followed Ecosa’s washing instructions and never tumble dried the sheets. When I contacted Ecosa I was told to wash the sheets with fabric softener to release the bamboo fibers which are known to shrink. This did nothing. I find it unbelievable that a manufacturer admits their product shrinks, yet won’t replace it as it’s outside a 45 day refund/replacement period. Disappointed doesn’t cut it, I spent over $700 on these sets of sheets which should last for years, now I can’t even get them on the bed they’ve shrunk so much. Totally unacceptable.

Super nice! I LOVE the elastic banding around the edge - I toss and turn a lot so it's great to not have it get rucked up. Definitely a better summer sheet than winter - it stays very cool, so can be chilly when you get in first off, but I have an extra fluffy blanket that I put in the middle that's cozy. Plus sooo nice to have a cool pillow Show reply
Bought two of these for King mattress. The elastic is pretty strong and thick. The Bamboo fabric material is shinier than pure cotton apparently- which I only realised after these arrived. As long as the fabric material is natural, am happy with my purchase. Thanks Ecosa. Show details · 1
I absolutely love ECOSA bedding. It’s soft, great in winter and the summer and I have exclusively been using ECOSA bedding for the last 5 years and would never go back. Show details · 1

The sheet set does feel good — on par with other bamboo sets I've used — but the durability simply isn't there. Minor tears appeared after just two months of use, even following the care instructions to the letter. I have far cheaper bamboo sheets that are still going strong. Show details

Hi Ecosa, I purchased all of the bedding for my queen size bed. The mattress cover is cold to the touch but as soon as I lie on it it gets warm and that's with the Cooling sheet on top. The cooling quilt doesn't cool me at all, im very disappointed with all my purchase. Regards Margaret Hodgson Show details

Absolutely love our Pure mattress, pillows and bamboo bedsheets we bought, however the reason for the lower rating is due to the customer support and shipping process. Customer support wasn't very helpful when we reached out for help, just felt like talking to a Phillapino bot tbh. As for shipping after purchasing, it takes AGES. I'm talking about… Read more
a month wait - maybe slightly more if no stock. The worst part is, there are no updates on shipping until it's a few days from being delivered, so you blindly wait for your order to be received, even when there are estimates before purchasing (which in our case was very innacurate). Overall though, if you have patience on your side, the actual product is well worth it.

So soft and smooth. The small details have clearly been thought through with a tag labelling the long edge of the fitted sheet and a thick elastic. The one thing I don't love is that my ecosa pillow is a bit small for the pillow case, so it floats about a bit and often slips out of the case. Show details · 1
