Best Stick Blender I have owned – I have had my Bamix 140w stick blender for 10 years and it's still going strong. I also have the accessories including all 4 blades and the wet dry processor. I use it often for chopping, whipping, emulsifying. The blender is so versatile. I highly recommend Bamix. Show details
Bamix ... a waste of $300 – Don't buy. This replaced a long serving Kenwood stick blender. The motor is pathetic. The attachments just don't function. Show details
Motor has broken twice – The motor has broken down twice. I have been waiting over 1 year to get it fixed and I’m still waiting. After the first repair, the motor blow out after the first usage. Very disappointed with the product, especially considering its high price. Show details
Brilliant – Highly recommended blending is a breeze with this versatile gadget used for those quick last minute dressings to more complex exotic cocktails. The motor is exceptional this is my second purchase after having the previous one for over 15 years. Show details
Not worth the money – Stopped working properly after about three years of minimal use...think one banana smoothie each day! It starts ok but within seconds it slows down and can’t even purée a banana! Tried to clean it as service person suggested but to no avail...took it for service and surprise, warranty only covers the motor! Repair estimate from $60! Am going to throw away this piece of rubbish and buy a basic stick blender for $60. Bamix never again!!! Show details
So, so very dissapointed – We had a bamix for 30 years and it was fantastic, nothing else could beat it and we even brought them for wedding presents for others. However, my new lime green bamix is absolutely pathetic and useless. Firstly, my old bamix would quickly mix flaxseed oil and cottage cheese together totally so as no oil showed, however, with the new one with… Read more
its fancy blade, no matter how long I blend the oil is easy to see and just does not blend and I could do just as well with a spoon. I did try the old blade on it and it did seem to mix it a bit better, and it will whip cream, but to pay that much money when I could beat cream with a hand held one is not o n..
2).. My old bamix had a switch, but with the new one you have to hold a button in to keep it going, which is behind a thick, tough covering (and the cover will probably wear through). Having to holding the button in for so long hurts my fingers so I hardly use it. It is so hard to hold in that it would be impossible for someone with arthritis to use ..
I emailed bamix and was impressed that they quickly rang me back, but I might as well have not bothered, so I went into where I brought it from, (Myers), and that was a waste of time also. So now I have a useless machine which I cant use for very long at a time, and now cant afford one with a bigger motor.
I can’t remember the month that I brought it but it was about July/August in 2017.
Update. I have since brought a Braun which only has a couple of extras, so it only cost us $79 on… Read more
Love Bamix – I love Bamix blenders. They outrun and outdo anything on the market. When you get a bamix as I did 34 yrs ago you will never use anything else .The first one lasted 20 years. Our family uses the blender 3-4x a day every day for the last 10 yrs and it is still going strong. I have bought 2 more ,a Mono and a Gordon Ramsay from Ebay so that my girls have one each to take with them on holiday. Hands down the Swiss made Bamix are the best! Show details
Do not buy - Terrible new switch design - This is not the Bamix we all knew and loved! – -Purchased new Red "Classic" model Bamix on 27-July-2013. -Sporadically used the Bamix (no more than 8-10 uses over a ~12-month period), when the "impulse contact" style switch buttons used to give power to the Bamix, failed and collapsed into the wand housing. -Contacted Bamix Australia(Facebook-page) in March-2016. No answer received. Show details
Poor design – The 'soft touch' buttons collapsed after a small amount of usage. Bamix do not agree that it is a design fault. They've recommended that each time it happens, that we take it to the repair shop. This is a huge waste of time for such a simple fix that could be implemented. I would not purchase Bamix with this design.
Perfect – Having a large family (8) I needed a blender that could take a lot of use, be simple to operate and easy to clean. The Bamix ticks all the boxes, and although it is more expensive than other brands, after wearing out 3 other brand blenders over the past 4 years, I have come to believe that "you get what you pay for". I would certainly recomend this product.
