Bamix Gastro 350W

Top notch crafstmanship, immensely powerful, and has replaced three other big appliances – What led me to this point is starting to make my own hummus. I had one of those processor/blender combos with the single motor for both, and both of them produced very sub-par results. Then I tried a low-end stick blender that I'd had passed on to me during someone's house clean out. Results much better, but still not quite the power I needed - chickpeas are dense even when cooked and need loads of power to puree through them cleanly.

Then the penny drooped that what I have occupying precious cupboard space are a useless old and small multipro and low-end stick blender, none of which really had any power in them

The penny then dropped that instead of all those space wasters, I can have one powerful appliance that can do all of of their jobs and then some I'd never even thought of.

Took one look at the Gastro series of Bamix and the biggest dilemma was which one: the 200, or 350.

I got the 350 even though I was at first a bit apprehensive about how enormous it looks, but it's been a delight to use, and very manoeuvrable.

The power in it is nothing short of astonishing. I had frozen about a kilo of overripe bananas and it managed to chow its way through them to make a banana & coconut milk icecream.

It takes seconds to complete pureeing, emulsifying, crushing, blending, chopping, you name it it does it.

One very happy home cook here with loads of deliciously creamy hummus here.

Lots of power, copes with anything – Very pleased with this purchase, replaced a Swissline model. This has much more power to handle large quantities. Just remember when you are planning a spot to hang it in your kitchen that this 350 model is quite a bit longer than standard, so needs more height where you place the bracket. This is a commercial type machine.

Very handy item – My friends had stick mixers in the past and I always wanted one as I have a blender that is great but a bit of work the stick is light easy to clean and can be used for quite a lot of different things. I highly recommend this to anybody that is looking for an easy to use appliance.
