B&O H5 – Once you figure out how to use all the parts in the box! Very good all round. Hold well. Good sound. Good quality. Initially had some trouble being a bit blonde! Show details

Do not waste your money – headphones are poorly designed and weight of the earpiece makes it drop out. they are useless and not practical in any way. The sounds is good as you expect with the brand but the headphones dont stay in to allow you to listen. Tried all connection sizes and nothing to do with that, the ear piece is simply too heavy and poorly designed to be functional. Show details

Does the job – I usually listen to EDM while using these earphones at the gym doing weights so they never fall out. They are extremely comfortable and you forget you are wearing earphones at a point. However, sound quality is not as good as I thought it would be for this price point and for a Bang & Olufsen product. Show details

Which is better, an audiophile review or a user review? – I used to own some beats but left them in a hire car so I thought id treat myself to something more distinguished. I now regret that decision every time I use these earphones. The short story 1. The cord is too short 2. The cord is a fabric material that doesn’t glide around your neck, it keeps catching and pulling out one of the buds 3. The… Read more

bespoke charging doc is irritating. One you have to carry it wherever you go as no other generic USB cord will work, two it is fiddly, three when you loose it it will cost an arm and a leg to replace. 4. The sound is not clearly better unless you isolate your self in a room and do a side by side comparison...who lives in that world? 5. I can’t get any of the 6 options of earbud to hold the earpieces in to do anything more than water the plants, exercise is out off the question.

The main problem is I read the wrong reviews. Ask a high end audio magazine to review a B & O product and you are going to get pages and pages on the nuances of frequency, output and other laboratory based metrics. Do your self a favour and read some user reviews... then dont assume those are all written by perpetual complainers. This is the only review I have ever written

Good for music sitting down, Bad to use as a phone headset – Music quality is great but they are very hard to keep inside your ear, even after trying all the rubber boots supplied. Absolutely useless for any type of exercise, cord grabs on your shirt all the time, cord they talk up as a feature is actually a real pain. Bluetooth is not great, have the phone in your back pocket and the signal gets crackly,… Read more

doesn't get affected when playing music but when talking on the phone I find you basically have to hold the phone in front of you to have a conversation.

Using the press control on the cord to answer calls often results in hanging up on the caller.

I bought these thinking they'd be a great phone headset, not so, very good for music, hopeless for phone calls.

Good sound quality, average battery life – Bought this pair of earphones in 2017 from myer, and the earphones have been serving me really well. noise quality from the earphones is amazing. Particularly, when you can control the EQ of music through an app within the phone that you have to download. The earphones are light and comfortable to wear. However, battery life from the earphones is very average.  Show details

Can't live without! – I have these constantly hanging from my neck. The sound is amazing, with the added convenience of it being light, portable and easy to switch off! All you need to do is listen, and when you're done, simply clasp them together via magnetic connection to switch them off!! And... you'll never lose them! For audio enthusiasts, i recommend a pair of these beautiful B&O H5s!  Show details

Sound is detailed, but unfortunately too small – I bought this brand new through ebay. I love its light design without any bracket needed, but the sound is so small. I tried iphone 7 and LG V20, sound is even smaller on android phone. well but the sound is detailed. If you are a bass lover I will recommend to skip because you will need to download and use the app to adjust it.  Show details

Perfect earphones! – I love the design of the earphones and the color. The sound is very beautiful and the earphones are easy to put into your pockets or your bags. I also love the bluetooth function so I can use it during my work out time. I would recommend this to my friends.  Show details

But the sound quality is just okay, it is same as iphone' earphone. The battery can be lived around 8 hours. Three colour can be choosed.  Show details

3 faulty pairs. Terrible customer service – I bought these in London late last year as all previous product purchases have been of elite quality and craftsmanship from this company. I went for a run that day and they wouldn't stay in my ear so was constantly having to put them back in, even with all the sizes they give you. When in, the chord rubs making a noise that you barely drown… Read more

out with music turned up full (which isn't as high as my chorded Beoplay earphones).

I rang up Canary Wharf where I purchased them and I brought them back in to show how they don't stay in my ear and discussed my connectivity issues. They suggested purchasing (yes, purchasing) some foam earphones from another site that's life of use was only about 3-4 months per set. I was mortified that after paying top dollar I'd have to keep forking out to use these every 3-4 months. They got me in a complementary pair which the foam ripped within a day. After a while though, the normal set seemed to stay in a lot better but still falls out with sweat involved.

I then was using them in Australia to them stop working entirely. So I sent them back which was a bit of a nightmare as you have to be home to give them to FedEx and giving them a work address took an hour of explaining why I can't be home as I work full time.

I was then sent another pair that wouldn't charge so I asked for a refund. The manufacturer passed to buck onto Canary Wharf saying it was their problem. I told them it was the company's problem and that you, the manufacturer sent a faulty pair (from China) m. Canary Wharf wouldn't refund and I was about to go overseas so I just send those back to receive a new pair, because surely they all wouldn't be faulty.

I now am overseas and this new pair has really bad connection issues when switching devices, don't get more than an hour of usage on a full charge and the left earpiece gets very hot. So again, they've sent me a brand new faulty pair and the first thing they do is send me a return label.

I've asked for a refund and that I'm not in Australia at the moment as I just want to be done with dealing with obviously not a product of superior quality, even though they come with a superior price tag.

I'd look elsewhere as they have really been hard working with and for a product that has given me nothing but a headache.

Don't buy – These are the worst earphones I have ever brought, $400 and they are useless, if you have any intention of doing any kind of exercise whilst using them buy something else, even a slow walk they fall out of your ears, let alone train at the gym, these would be great if you intend on sitting down and not moving at all, or maybe take on holidays just… Read more

incase you break a shoelace you can cut the speakers off throw them in the bin, and use the cord for an emergency shoelace!

Oh and who is the genius in the design team who made the cord out of fabric so when it rubs on your cloths and makes the loudest rubbing noise through the speakers!

Great product – Purchased these on a whim last year. They are great head phones. I don't find them heavy at all and they have great a great base sound too. Sit in my ear nicely. Battery Life is ok but I use them a lot. Bang and Olufsen also support the Richmond Football Club. Go Tiges!  Show details

Almost there, needs improvement for price – Bought a pair H5 Beoplay from Harvey Norman in November. Happy with sound quality, looks and charging station. A few things need to improve- 1) too heavy 2) earbuds- they fall out way too often , buds need improving or a extra attachment to keep them on 3) battery life needs to be longer. 4) finally, the braided cable becomes extremely… Read more

kinked and twisted- you can't fix it. Means the cable twists up to touch your chin.

Took them back for exchange- no problems Harvey Norman swapped them straight over.

But I'm so nervous with storage now thinking they will twist again. Will see how this pair go.

Not perfect, but very near – Battery life: ok but not great. I get about 4 hours Sound quality: Not bad but nowhere near as good as the B & O H9 bluetooth noise canceling headphones I have Comfort: I find anything in my ears uncomfortable after a while and have to take them out for a few minutes. They seem to fit OK and have several sets of buds of differing sizes. … Read more

Good points: Small size takes up little room in a bag. Will magnetically fasten like a necklace when not in use which also turns them off. Charger looks great. Easy to use and quick to connect, looks great, Better than Apple Airpods because joining cable is an added security to prevent loss of a bud.

Bad Points: Bass not as good as I'd hope for, Costs way too much for the performance, Charger way too bulky compared to earbuds (should just be a cable like the H9), Battery life could be longer, Because buds fit ears exactly you will hear yourself talking or walking and the sound of the cord rubbing over your collar when you move

Helpful hints: as with all bluetooth headphones, I reset each time I pair by pressing the on switch, or in this case, the +/- buttons simultaneously, for 20 seconds or until the light goes red, each time i pair. It often solves connection issues you might have next time you use the buds or earphones. I also find this works with all other bluetooth devices where selecting what you connect to is not available.

Conclusion: these were a christmas gift after I searched all year for a compact set of durable earbuds. The H9s are great but too bulky for some situations. The H5s are the best I can find but the cost will put many off. If you use an Iphone, the new cabled earbuds will do the job without having to go through all this palava.
