Cleans, but falls apart - painful to use – It came with the house we built in 2014. It cleans the dishes moderately well. I did, in fact, read the manual before using it and have always used rinse aid, which helps to some extent, but not brilliantly, with the drying of the dishes. We have had issues with the 'on/off' button. Despite calls to the service department, it was going to be… Read more

way more hassle and $$ to fix than it was worth, so we have jammed it permanently to the 'on' position with a toothpick.

We also have ongoing issues with the rollers for the top drawer. Considering our experience with the on/off button, I haven't bothered to contact service.

To be honest, I had no choice in its installation and I am saving up to replace it with a different brand. However, it is doing a bare minimum job for now, which is better than nothing.

It is reasonably loud, but not horrendous.

Would not purchase again.

Waste of space – This is rubbish. I inherited it and have never heard of the brand, now I know why. It is completely useless... where to start. Does it clean - no. Do it dry - no. Is it quiet - no. Would I recommend it - no. Should you buy it ? - no no no! What are my favourite features - none. It is ready for the scrap heap I would not even bother selling it.  Show details

Poorly made – The dishwasher does not clean anything particularly well bought a new house with it already installed. As my husband passed on only use it rarely, it is louder than necessary. Bottom tray one of the plate holders fell off not long after I moved here . The worst part is the known fault with the on off switch which virtually disintegrates..resulting… Read more

in a callout. Part is $13 odd dollars worth but as it was under warranty repaired...however it took the people who did the repairs four trips out to get the right part. Technicians advice was to leave the new switch in the on position and turn it off at the wall to avoid another early breakage...here a bit over two years used the dishwasher around 20 times only at family visits. And yes..everything is wet when it comes out of the washer. Very long cycle.

Wouldn't buy another one – This is a story of two Baumatic BDW60S dishwashers we bought three years ago. Both are used twice a day for normal household use. One of them is still working and has never had an issue. The other has broken down about 7 times (lost count actually). It was repaired under warranty wihtin the first two years and the repair agent was good to deal… Read more

with. Once it was out of warranty and broke down, we got a new dishwasher. The power switch was replaced 3 times, the control board burnt out, the solenoid on the motor was replaced and the heating element burnt out. The repairer who came out told us not to bother fixing it once it was out of warranty as Baumatic was a poor quality product. We wouldn't buy the brand again.

Engine failed after 2 years – Purchased this dishwasher for our new house and failed after only three years. It was a problem with the engine and we couldn't replace it. It is disappointing that a flaw with the engine would occur only after the 3 year period. It wasn't even used that extensively. Not happy.  Show details

Low priced and low quality – Im not sure where to start with this dishwasher, I have had a few over the years but this has to be the worst designed out there, rinse aid dispenser leaks constantly, draws are always falling off their tracks, and is rather noisy plus it also does a rather poor job of drying dish's after we played with the rinse aid dispenser Does do a fair job of actually washing the dish's Everything else

Hope it does not go wrong – Although my Baumatic dishwasher when working is very good, unfortunately the same can not be said about the after care despite Baumatic stating on their website about the training and platinum service they offer. In January my dishwasher stopped working as I have insurance I contacted Baumatic who said they would ask an engineer to call, in five… Read more

days they did, after a furthur two weeks I recontacted Baumatic as I had not heard anything, I was told that they were awaiting parts.

Finally four weeks later an engineer called to fix the machine.

Unfortunately for me there were more parts needed, Baumatic state they can have parts to you the next day if in stock, apparently mine are not and a furthur four weeks down the line and counting mine are still not in stock.

I have contacted Baumatic, which is not always an easy task, trying to speak to a manager is even harder as you may have to wait seventy two hours for a ring back.

My dishwasher is still not fixed, nine weeks from when putting in my call to Baumatic.

Note to myself never buy a Baumatic product again.

Aftercare service is disgusting

Parts – We bought this dishwasher in late 2004. We have been happy with the washer although at times it did not completly drain. Our biggest complaint is the plastic door latch has broken and this machine is now classed as obsolete,no parts. We understand nothing lasts forever, however to throw out a relativley good machine for the sake of a $20 door latch is crazy. Buyers be ware!! No simple parts

Noisy Motor – We received a dishwasher as part of purchasing a Freedom kitchen and what a hassle it has been. Since we have had it installed in Sept 2012, we have found that the motor makes more noise than the highest volume button on our plasma. It retains all the water in its filters and instead of draining continually releases the water onto our floorboards.… Read more

At first we thought that it was because we were putting too many items in the washer, but even whilst we ran it with nothing in it, it has flooded. At last count, we drained approximately 8litres of water from our floors and dishwasher.

Freedom or Baumatic: look forward to my phone call tomorrow.

Loud motor, retains water in filters.

Work's great – Despite bad reviews on internet, dishwasher does not dry and poor cleaning etc, i thought exactly the same thing when i brought this dishwasher and i was going to take it back until i actually read the manual!!! Every time the dishwasher ended the dishes were soaked with water. But then i learned that the rinse aid dispenser is what helps assist… Read more

drying the dishes, so i turned the nob to 6 and aided some rinse had and it works absolutely perfect, the noise is not loud., it works great!!! Definitely would recommend reading your manual from now on i never did and never thought a bit of rinse aid would fix the problem!! cheap, stylish for money, reliable you get what you pay for!

Works for me – Purchased this dishwasher two weeks ago at the good guys. Very happy so far. Love the cutlery drawer. Finding the one hr cycle enough to cope with every day dishes. Seem to be fitting a bit more in due to the extra drawer which is a bonus. Good value for money. Fitting more dishes in & not as noisy as our old one.  Show reply

Good dishwasher for the price – Our old dishlex stopped cleaning properly, & I eventually couldn't take rewashing everything constantly, so we whipped out one weekend to see what was on offer at a budget price. Had never heard of this brand before, but it was cheap, & I really didn't care as long as it washed the dishes properly. I was wary at first, as it didn't seem to dry… Read more

properly, but after a couple of washes it settled in. It's certainly quieter than the dishlex, but the cycles do take longer, which is not normally a problem except if you're having a party. The racks can be adjusted so tall glasses can be washed or large dinner plates, but not at the same time.

Overall, I'm happy with it, as it washes & dries well. Price, it works! Doesn't tell you at what stage of the cycle it's at; roller knobs on the racks keep falling off.

if the rollers keep coming off, get a service call to get it fixed, no good complaining if you havent bothered to fix it.

It's only OK – It washes well, but is painful to pack. The top rack even though it's adjustable doesnt fit any of my wine glasses. And I've had to remove a shelf in order to fit my every day tall tumblers. All of the shelves have adjustable , removable, collapsable-folding racks. This is a little overwhelming at first, setting everything up in order to pack your… Read more

first load. The dish spikes on the bottom rack (also collapsable) dont seem to lock in well. The top shelf also doesn't glide back into the unit, it jams and you need to adjust the arm. The dishwasher came with my new house package, had I known more about the brand I would have opted to purchase and install a dishwasher of my choice. It cleans Frustrating to pack

The top basket is adjustable up and down, move it down and the tall glasses fit fine. Everything fits in mine (tall champagne flutes as well)
