Cons: - Average sound quality for the price....better sound from Plantronics Go410. It's fairly balanced for a beats, that is not too base heavy, but lacks a wide soundscape and overall, isn't fun and music sounds a bit flat. - No app or ability to tweak sound manually....which most competitors have - Headset never turns off, even when not in use, so you have to remember to always manually turn them off after each use, otherwise they stay connected and the battery drains. Constantly, would find them dead every morning, cause I would forget. - They lack additional features that similar priced competitors have, eg magnetic on/off, ANC, full-featured companion app. - Slow re-pairing upon wake up, found cheap bluetooth headsets would be ready to play music much quicker then beatsX, which is disappointing given they should be better on all apple hardware.
Overall, 2.5 out of 3 stars. If they were significantly cheaper then some of these complaints could be lived with, but given their premium price, the value for money is poor especially when there are better options from competitors.
I love it – I have been stalking these earbuds as soon as I learned about them, and knew I had to have them. I love the Power Beats, but I wear glasses and the over the ear piece bothered me. -The magnets are ingenious. They keep the buds from getting tangled up when not in use -Enough fit options for just about anyone's preferences -Lightning charging!!!!! Finally, I don't have to have multiple cables. THANK YOU APPLE!!! -Great design. The flexible neck piece fits great. There are a few minor drawbacks. The talk/end/pause/play button is a little small for my fingers. Also, the volume control buttons usually double as track selectors, but do not on these buds. Finally, an app for customizing the sound would be nice. Perhaps it's in the works. Otherwise, these are a great addition to my Apple life. iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple TV, now Beats x. The only thing missing is a cool t-shirt that the Apple Store employees wear. LOL!

designers have contoured the device to sit comfortably around the neck and the don't move when running and have magnitised ear buds that safety click together so you can have it around your neck without worrying if they have come off when not in use
Another fantastic feature is the battery it has insanely long lasting battery and the shortest charging time in the range within half an hour the device is fully charged and provides around 12-14 hrs of continuous use.
In comparison to power beats I find that these are very similar but the only thing I like better about they power beats is the ear hugger that hold the ear piece to the ear sometimes the earbuds on the Beats x pop out of the ear.
Also the color range was lacking with only 4 colors but now they have several more colors including the new gold which is what I would have preferred to the grey I have.
5 stars for price, comfort, ease of use and charging and range and connectivity.

Nice wireless earphone – I use my BeatsX to listen to music. Overall, the sound volume and sound quality is above average. But there is no noise cancellation. So I can still hear background noise which is annoying. This earphone is perfect for physical activities too. Both earbuds are connected, so it can be easily found whenever I need them. Good little cute earphone – I use it with my computer to listen to music and YouTube. Overall, I like the sound volume and wireless range. I can easily turn the volume up or down using the control on BeatsX. Once I turn it on, it automatically connected to my computer, fast and easy. I would recommend this product.
well its just WOW – Got them 2 months ago as my earlier sony ones died. Its easy to connect plus noise cancelling and wireless. sp overall very happy. battery life is quite good as a charge lasts me whole day. best part is it reaches 97% in under 10 mins charge. Show details

Don’t waste your money – First pair failed after 10 months. Kept switching off when walking around. Apple replaced under warranty but only 90 days warranty was given on the replacement set. 5 months later after being super careful not to damage them they now turn off or disconnect whenever the connecting cable is flexed while wearing them. Don’t waste your money – 2 years, 2 times replaced by Apple because they wouldn’t charge and now ready to be disposed as they don’t work anymore and are out of warranty. Otherwise I was asked 120AUD to get a replacement pair. Such a shame Apple is now manufacturing disposable products..... Very disappointed as many others here! Show details
Don’t buy them – I purchased the Beats and after 5 months they wouldn’t charge. I received an replacement and they worked for 8 months. They wouldn’t power once again and I called customer service. They told me they wouldn’t fix the them or replace them because the warranty expired. The warranty starts is from the first pair you buy And not the replacement. Unable to charge the headphone – This product has a short shelf life . It is overrated . It fails to charge and can’t use for more than year . If you get it replaced within warranty period, then good for you . Else don’t bother to send for Apple repair . Repair cost is almost the same as buying a new one . Sound quality and battery not great – Recently bought a pair because I wanted some wireless headphones with a long battery lift and they’re advertised as having up to 9 hours. Finding they are running out after 4-5 hours and the sound quality isn’t great, finding myself re-using my $20 headphones with better sound quality and a similar battery life. I don't know where to start from on this – First I can't wear it while even walking around as it will fall off. Lame bass and no low bass. Not fast connection. Volume is decent but bass literally disappear at high volume. My suggestion will be to buy something else instead of this. Show details

I would not buy it for that price – These headsets had great sound but other that that its just useless. I paid around $150 for these and it was a waste of money. The batteries did not last for more than 3-4 hours specially when making calls and the mic wasn't good without bringing it next to your mouth. So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Show details

So Bad I'd Rather Die – I have owned these headphones for 2 years. In that time I have replaced them at least 5 times, for they constantly break and are made from cheap materials making them not very durable. Worth every penny – If you are into trance and electronic music and if you enjoy flat bass, this is it. Don't look elsewhere. These are absolutely phenomenal. The only little issue is that battery life is not that great. But the sound quality makes that issue rather pity. Show details

or not synch after the first 4 months of use. It required a lot of wrangling and resetting to get them to work at all. Due to a lost receipt, we could not replace them. My headphones worked for about 5 months before they too presented the same problems. Now they do not work at all, completely dead. We both took good care of the product (no dropping, squishing, impact etc) yet they both stopped working around the same time. My partner is now on his second pair, but I am very hesitant to repurchase, because for $199 I would expect them to last a bit longer than 5 months or even a year.

dead - 13 months after purchase so out of warranty. After checking the Apple reviews, it seems this is a highly common experience.
So while I loved them while they worked, Im very hesitant to repurchase if they only last one year.
ETA: So Im a sucker but Ive repurchased a new pair, they really are great and Im prepared to put up with the lifespan. However, I realized using my new pair, that the red battery light had stopped working on my old pair pre warrant expiry. Perhaps if Id returned them then, it would be a better ending. So, if your red battery light no longer illuminates even though its not impacting functionality, Id suggest returning them at that point.
ETA: Well my new pair purchased in April are now experience issues where they disconnect and randomly won't switch on so are back with Apple to be returned for assessment.

wireless headphones are not good for call use. This one is just fine. Aside from that, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Best headphones – These are brilliant! Since buying them I literally have never gone anywhere without them. The noise cancelling quality is excellent, blocking out noise which is great when walking outside or when at the gym. The quality of the sound they produce is superb. There is a 5-second delay from pushing the button to when you hear the chime saying it is on. And if you hold the on button longer than 1 second, it goes into pairing mode.

size up, or end up getting Comply foam inserts, but these were excellent without changing anything. Sound quality was... well... these aren't reference IEM's, and being made by Beats, I wasn't at all surprised that they were so bass-forward. But for the price, they're quite good.

a royal blue that's it crazy bright. The two little lumps on the cord where the electronics and batteries are housed look weird at first, but it's a great way to balance things out while making the whole package super slim. There's also a magnet in the bids so they sort of click together around your neck when you take them out. Keeps them out of the way. I kind of always have them on because that's so convenient. Quality, quality build. These are not the Beats of old. This feels more like an apple designed product.
