I wouldn’t buy Beko again. I have the BFL853ADW washing machine and matching heat pump dryer. They function well and efficiently, but the door on the washing machine broke a year in to owning it and was replaced under warranty. Dealing with customer service was terrible. It took nearly a year to sort out properly. Luckily it was still usable… Read more

during that time. Fast forward to the five-year mark and the door has fallen off completely. The problem is that the auto dose tray leaks and erodes the metal and plastic around the door hinge. I couldn't bring myself to deal with their customer service again so I bought a Bosch and got Appliances Online to take the old Beko away for disposal. On top of the door issue, the usability of the Beko was bad - very fiddly and annoying, to the point where I had to leave instructions for house sitters. It was quite loud and would unbalance very easily. The plastic and parts on my new Bosch are so much sturdier and more durable. I can already tell I'm going to love it. Hopefully it lasts longer and their customer service is better!

Poor machine design – I purchased this machine new. It washes poorly even though the cycles are long. When it overfills (which is often) it doesn’t have an ability to drain - it has to be tilted at 90degrees manually! It has a relatively poor capacity in terms of loads and often the clothes come out wet and looking unwashed despite the few hours of washing time. In… Read more

short, was a regrettable purchase. Will be purchasing another washing machine as this one wasn’t fit to wash anything!

A garbage can with a fancy wrapper – Waste of money, from day one this machine struggled to wash even one douvet, let alone 5 towels. Is a 10kg frontloader actually this weak in comparison to a 10kg top loader that is able to handlie two douvets and your whole linen cupboard full of towels? Is Beko's 10kg recommendation inclusive of the water it adds too, because that seems like all… Read more

it can handle..

Often I am left with soaking clothes, but you can't even put this garbage can on "spin only" mode, for some reason it feels the need to fill it up again with water, and then still leave me with soaking clothes.

I mean like, would you believe that "Spin+Drain" mode actually fills the thing up first full of water instead of just "spinning and draining" and that there is not a mode that actually allows you to do this without it filling up.

Have struggled with this flaming pile of crap for over 2 years, if there's one thing it's consistent at, it's consistently unreliable and am constantly reminded of the deceit pulled over my eyes by the salesperson who sold me this junk.

Bought on Saturday - unable to use by Monday – Purchased this washing machine with installation on Saturday. Did a few loads on Sunday with no problems. Monday morning put on a small load of bedding. When I went to peg out, I noticed that they were still quite wet. Went to use the spin program and the machine wouldn't start. Tried many things, googled lots and I think the door is faulty - the… Read more

machine is reading the door is not locked even though it is and won't start. Reported the fault on Monday via email and then via telephone Tuesday. It is now Friday and I still not have not heard from a technician. Hopefully will hear something next week but expecting to be without a washing machine for at least two weeks. I'm not upset that about the fault as this can happen, what annoys me is the poor response and the fact that I don't have a working washing machine.

Assorted problems – Purchased around 18mths ago. Drum light failed within around 6mths but didn't worry about getting it repaired. About 2 mths ago the auto dosing fabric softener began losing/ using a large amount. Then one day the machine stopped mid cycle with error E12 and wet clothes. E12 searches came up with high water level, so I attempted to remove the… Read more

pump filter to drain the water. Couldn't remove the filter as a piece of plastic was jammed in the filter cage.

Tech came out a couple of days later and managed to remove piece of plastic and filter. By that time error E12 had cleared itself. The piece of plastic had come from the dispenser drawer- it appears to be a guide/ slide for the drawer that easily detaches and can then enter the drum area where the water flows in.

The light failure was due to the wires having broken off the light's plug. A new circuit board and drawer housing were fitted which fixed the fabric softener "leak".

Since those repairs it's failed with E12 about 4 times. Repair call logged again...

Other thoughts- -The screw in feet don't have enough length to level the machine on screed (sloping) floors. The machine can move itself across the floor with heavier loads when spinning (perhaps worsened by occasional water dripping from the dispenser drawer, down the front of the machine and flowing down the front feet into the floor - only recently noticed.) -The machine's cycles default to the hottest water temperature but not the highest spin speed. Care needs to be taken setting the programs or clothes can be ruined. -Seeing it apart when the Tech was here the cabinet did seem to be better constructed than the two previous Asko machines it replaced. -It came with a 5yr warranty/ 10 yr inverter motor warranty which persuaded me to try it over another much more expensive Asko. (The Asko's weren't without their problems either.)

Terrible – I have had nothing but problems since purchasing our washing machine only 8 months ago (unable to use the past 1 month). There have been many issues regarding the soap dispenser, rubber o-rings and the door seal which they are now refusing to cover under warranty. For someone who only does a maximum of 3 loads a week I did not agree that abuse or… Read more

wear and tear on the machine was a valid excuse. The customer service was terrible and would not recommend this brand or product to anyone. Do yourself a favour and look else wear!

Seemed good but has slowly gotten worse and now it's broken – First up - Sales pitch from Good Guys Narre Warren was 80% bollocks. The wash capacity is nowhere close to what was promised. We wash general clothes and bed sheets. Within 2mths the internal light died - no biggie we can live with it. Then it starts to travel around the laundry floor despite re leveling it it keeps doing it 70% of the time. Now… Read more

Good washing machine for the price – So the BFL853ADW has many of the features of the more expensive premium brands but to do so it has to cut a few corners. The build quality is a little cheap, however upon registration Beko offers a five year warranty on the machine so that gives me some confidence it will last. I have been using this for over a year and I am yet to experience… Read more

anything like some of the other reviewers have.

The auto-dosing is really handy and it's a feature I appreciate but there is no way of manually adjusting the volume of liquid if you don't think there is enough. I would prefer to have more control, particularly for the fabric softener.

There is some really short cycle options, but I usually do something between 30 and 80mins and everything comes out clean and dry every time. I would like to buy a German Bosch with similar features, but for me it wasn't worth the extra money. Time will tell but at least I'l get five years out of the machine.

Great! – Hi Purchased this beko washing machine after researching it for a little time before! I love the autodose feature great so you can just chuck your washing in with out having to pour the powder or liquids everytime. When i first used it i let it go with the settings already on the screen not knowing needed to change but once figured that out i… Read more ·  1

always turn the spin cycle speed down to 600 and ot doesnt shake like crazy at that cycle or moved forward anymore but still gets all the water out effectively. Love the inbuilt water heater you just need to remember change the heat when doing a wash if you dont need hot water or dont wash in hot water. Overall i think it is great havent had anything wrong with it since my purchase great front loader

Really good washer. Water and energy efficient – Easy to use, though make sure you’ve really pressed the “start” button. Have good results with the machine. The inbuilt water heater really seems to save us $ on the power bill. Water usage or lack of, is impressive. Relatively quiet - just make sure you properly level the machine when installing/moving. Show details ·  1

Had an issue with it, but service was great – I had a fault where the washing machine needed to be replaced. I was able to choose another model washing machine because of this. But the company was that good to deal with i have choosen to get the same washer again. they are a great machine, and i understand sometimes you can have problems, its the way they deal with it that makes a difference. I love the autodose option on this! Show details ·  2

The worst machine ever – This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. It constantly moves across the floor and had completely ruined my nice fresh painted floor in the laundry. It is so heavy that I have to wait until somebody visits that is strong enough to put it back for me. It does however wash well but not worth the money when it is constantly trying to escape through the laundry door. Show details

Customer beware!!! – First of all I would to say that I have never wrote a review on anything but I feel so cranky about this machine so feel I need to vent. Very disappointed in this machine. Towels come out hard as a board as it does not dispense softener properly. I've been doing my own washing for over 40 years and never had a machine so difficult to use. When… Read more

you read the booklet there is things they tell you to push that are not even marked properly. Such as the auxilliary function button. Then it tells you to press the temp button and all that does is reduce the temp whereas it's suppose to change the liquid dosing amount. Then press the spin button and all that does is change the spin speed whereas they say it will change the amount of softener dispensed. Absolutely hate this machine and would definitely not recommend to anyone. PLUS I have called the support line for help to no avail. Customer beware!!!

Good value for what you are buying and stylish – I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the results from this machine. I’ve had one for 6 months and my clothes come out clean and smelling great. I do have to be careful on which load I choose and the spin speed to keep it quiet, otherwise I can’t hear a thing. The drum light is a cool feature making it easy to see inside and the autodosing is taking the hastle… Read more

reliable – I love our Beko washing machine, it's large 10kg and fits all the washing in in one go which is such a bonus. So nice to be able to all the bedding in one go. Actually cleans the clothes and there are so many features to chose from and also temp gadge which is great. Easy to clean and super super quiet. Totally rate this brand of washing machine.  Show details

AWFUL machine that does not wash or spin properly – We got this as a replacement for our WMY1048LB1 which died after only three months. the WMY1048LB1 was a good machine and we would have been happy with a replacement but it is not a discontinued model so Beko offered us this machine instead. Supposedly it is the newer better model but It was quite clear to us from first use it was a terrible… Read more

machine that is not anywhere near as good as the one it replaced

1: It was very noisy, even with hardly anything in it.

2: It seemed to have a much smaller capacity that the 10kg it was meant to (and compared to the other beko we had)

3: it was so easy to do an uneven load it seemed like every wash something caused that machine to vibrate a lot

4: Even on the highest spin speed clothes came out wet and not properly spun

5: It cuts out suddenly at the end of the program, even when showing 3 or 4 minutes left. This did not seem right to us

6: It left a HUGE amount of water in the rubber seals after each wash, so much that it took two or three sheets of kitchen paper to mop it all up

7: Clothes just did not come out clean, or as clean as we would expect from a $1200 washer

We were bitterly disappointing as our other beko, before it stuffed up, was perfect in every way. This machine was not faulty, it is how it is.

To be fair on beko they did authorise a return and refund from where we bought the original one from and their customer service was excellent but this machine is a pile of junk. DO NOT BUY IT. I cannot stress enough how poor this machine is in every way.
