There have been some difficulties – We bought this range hood to match our Belling 90 cm stove. The disappointment with that is the inadequacy of what we were told is "the wok burner" in the middle of the cooktop. The output from this burner is pathetic. enough flame/heat. I think the salesperson just assumed it would be sufficient, as we did. When one reflects on English cuisine it probably isn't that surprising. Slow cooked stodge doesn't require a proper wok burner. The other problem was with one of the oven doors. It was a design fault that resulted in the door warping and thus not sealing the heat in. Apparently this was a known fault which had an engineered remedy, which Belling installed for us at no cost after purchase. Why the new engineering isn't included at the time of manufacture still eludes me. I guess it's like English cars, they like the purchaser to take an active role at the final stages of quality control. The exhaust hood was disappointing. It made a noise like a small jet engine, even on the lowest setting. And it broke after not much use. The light still works but the fan speed buttons have broken. Further to an earlier (negative) post on this forum I was contacted by the Belling people and they agreed to a free service call as a gesture of good will - the stove and range hood being outside the warranty period now. The service man who attended is arranging to replace the broken control buttons on the hood. He also pointed out a missing screw in the wall which the installer should have included. This has made a small difference to the vibration, but the fan is still quite noisy (we have to hold the button in to know this). A working, noisy fan still beats a non working noisy fan. So whilst I don't believe the quality of these English devices is at the standard of the European or Japanese/Korean equipment that is available, I can report that the after sales support from Belling Australia is of a very good standard. Unfortunately the range of free standing large stoves is limited, and we chose Belling. It does look nice.
